My Shelf WIdget

Hi Guys. I was just wondering how do i purchase/get books onto this widget? When i put the widget up and tap the buttons on it. It does nothing.Downloaded Google Books and Kobo from the Market. But was not able to get the books on the widget
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
