All good an well but i don't see how this is supposed to be related to dev?
Should have been in Themes and Apps so reported.
If we all submit our sensations then they should make it a supported device - http://init2winitapps.com/submit_device.html

IMPORTANT:if your custom rom has su v.3,disable log files in settings ,otherwise you'll run into permission problems,su v.2+ fine.Do the same in any rom you might run off sd.
in "what device do you have" put pyramid
"what is your sdcard block" put mmcblk1p1
"what is you system's size in mb" put 787.4
"what is your data size in mb" 1126
"what is your cache's size in mb" 116.2
these are the same for Z710e as well as the 4g
make the boot manager phone backup,it's an update.zip which you can flash from recovery should things go horribly wrong, have a nandroid backup and a copy of your custom rom on your sdcard(just to be absolutely safe) and keep your battery topped up.
There is a BM forum now
This app works fine with sensation. Running three different roms. My suggestion is to install ROM's with EXT2 not EXT4. had problems with EXT4. Nice job!
I have some problem during edit boot.img..at least do..
Can you say what rom works from sd..??
Can you upload the version of BootManager do you use..??
Anyone using this now, think sensation is fully supported now.
I used it while Testing ICS so i could still use wifi calling on GB Rom(Low service at my home), But since its running of a SD Card even tho i got a Class10 always seemed to be laggy and slow. I have not ran it since the new firmware witch has greatly helped my SD card speeds so it may have gotten better. I own the app so i will test it out again and report back. PS i Do remember that when i did use it almost every day(GB 2.3.4) when i installed rom's not everything would install(SU, WIFI Calling, ect) A restore Backup always seemed to work better for me then a Fresh install from a .zip. But i will test again and report back.
This thing works. But plenty of things that could be fixed (and better instructions).
It's my first paid app and I think it's pretty good (when it works...). Have to find which roms work. I think right now, only nandroid backups work.
It worked fine for me with every GB rom I used. I even tried all (first generation) ICS roms. It's been time that I had 3-4 roms installed to choose. No problems.
I think I cannot use ICS as system rom yet. Did they fix it?

Hello everyone, I tried to use the boot manager, but every rom install in the slot does not start, and I am going bootloop the phone, each time forcing me to install the "update.zip" backup to turn on the phone with the rom of nand. I tried following the guide from their website but nothing, what should I do to make this program?

What's up guys. I ported SFM 1.2 over to our 32B devices.
Requirements:
1. Any SPL
2. 96MB+ Swap
3. EXT4 sdcard partition
4. cMTD 175
How to Install:
1. Download Every file from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?0mexmgvmz1vm6
2. Flash cMTD Setup and reboot
3. Flash GingerSense ROM
4. Flash farmarito's gingerbread kernel: http://www.multiupload.com/0SJ77OM4HA
5. Flash cMTD Patch
Notes:
1. Setup will take FOREVER. Do not use your phone once it boots up, let it sit for about 20 minutes.
2. In /data/tweaks you will find a bunch of settings. To make it faster, edit Minfree file and type in yes and reboot
3. In /data/tweaks edit swappiness to change the swap value. It is high, set to 85, change to anything between 1-100 if you want and then reboot. You might experience slowness or more speed. To change those settings to default, go to recovery and wipe data.
is it fully working?

Wow, never knew it was possible! We can actually use more than one ROM at a time! This is faster and better than NANDroid restores! IT makes a copy of the ROM on your SD card, you can have up to 5!
SO you can simply switch back and forth using it as a normal ROM without having to do backups/wipe between switching!
it creates a partition on the SD card for the ROM(s). booting etc, is as simple is normal etc
Our Device is officially supported! Anyone tried it yet?

Wow was thinking about this, since I am dual booting Windows and Ubuntu on my laptop. But never thought it is implemented for our phones. Thanks for the info!
Have been using it for some time now, works great with CM7 roms, MIUI works good too but never boots back to the main ROM from MIUI, have to always flash the boot image saved by boot manager via recovery to come back. Tried sense roms during the early stages, had problems, but that was version 1, haven't tried sense roms lately.
Have reaper setup on SD, haven't used it though as a daily ROM.
Good way to preview a ROM without actually wiping anything.

Yes, as of the latter versions, force large boot img has to be ticked, otherwise it gets stuck at HTC logo.

Encountered it a while back in 2011 when envy became an issue (CWM mods natively multiboot on my wife's SE X8). Too many issues with my favorite ROMs (Virtuous & MIUI) made it a no-go for me. Nice to know there's renewed interest in it. Especially from a champ like you. Does that mean we'll see more ROMs with native support for multiboot (had to mod some ROMs on the X8 to make them work)?
Will try soon

What rom are you on?
if you are on an ics rom, force closes of sense can be stopped by making sure that all apps are stored on your phone memory and not on the sd card.
Check settings\applications\sd card and make sure that all the boxes are unchecked.

also what mods have you added
did you restore any system apps / data with titamium backup after ROM flash
basically if threads suggest ROM is stable - and most GB ones are now it must be something unique you may have done...
you can always re-flash the ROM and see if that helps - you will loose any mods. You can then re-add.
Detective work I am afraid.

2) I have flashed using 4ext recovery to cyaogenmod 7.2 can i use the 4ext recovery to flash MIUI or do i need another recovery tool?
I read the instructions on MIUI website and they recommend flashing using revolutionary, so i am confused now, is it that u need a different tool everytime u want to flash a new rom?

1) MIUI by all means is a good rom . There is no disputing that especially since they made use of kernel 3 which makes it much better.
You said that you were using CM 7.2 >
I dont mean to influence you in any way but I had honestly been sick of all the rumors about the desire s ics update so as to when it will finally hit shores and also regarding the carrier update timelines, especially since htc sense 3.0 made me dread using my phone. rebooting took nearly four mins on average.
After rooting i took the plunge and flashed a Jelly Bean rom ( currently using JellyTime CM10 Saga R10.1 | Unofficial CM10 With Kernel 3).In all honesty its one of the best decisions ive made. Project butter is a dream .
No lag whatsoever and free ram hovers around 250-400 as opposed to 70-220 when it was running sense 3.0. The only drawback Ive found is that the front camera doesnt work, which i think isnt too big of a deterrent for me.
Rest assured the dev (blindndumb) is already working on it. You can check it out on his site www.blindndumb.com . Also there are a plethora of roms available for the desire s
2)About the recovery part I cant exactly vouch for that, personally I've been using 4Ext and have no problems whatsoever. Ive flashed about 15-20 roms and have found no problems.
P.S
Also if you if miss the MIUI interface you can always opt for a MIUI theme. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1853132 .
Hope i've helped

Just to try and clear up a misconception here. Free RAM is wasted RAM. Having 300MB of RAM unused is no better than having 50MB unused.

Agreed, but basic switching of home launchers almost brought the phone to a stand still. Also gameloft titles compatible with the desire s often forced closed and suffer lag. I have no issues with it now.

Free RAM is DEFENITELY not wasted RAM (unless it's TRUE FREE RAM, which task managers don't show)

Thanks for that - but I have always learnt the opposite. You have thrown a great article in there, but there are plenty of people far more knowledgeable than me who argue the other way to that.
A good example is here. This report was originally inteded as a discussion about the use of Task Killers on Android (something which I do not understand why anyone would use) but if you read the comments (there are a hell of a lot of them) below the main article then you will find that nobody seems to actually be able to say for certain one way or another.

Yep, there is a BIG misconception about task killers.
Still, I''ve read just a few of those comments, and I think people keep confusing free RAM with unused RAM. For example, built-in task manager shows "free" ram, but that's only RAM not being used to cache apps. Below that, the rest of the ram available is always being used to cache system parts (many of which, sincerily, I don't really understand) which makes the phone run smooth. Knowing he ammount of "free" RAM required to cache all those system parts and trying to always have it available is the key to having a smoother system.
There are some "min values" of free ram that trigger the process killing, and in some roms (Venom Tweaks on chinese rom, for example) you can edit those min values. If unused RAM was wasted RAM, then those free-RAM-process-killing-triggering-levels would be close to 0, right? but still, they are something like 64MB default, so that, to me, is a little living proof that "free" RAM is not unused.
Anyway, in my head it all makes perfect sense, but it is hard to express it writing here, specially in another language!
EDIT: of course, I am sure that if I read all the answers, there would be people making much more sense than the ones I read. but there are thousands!

Revolutionary is a tool to unlock the phone, not a custom recovery.
You can flash miui or any other Rom with 4ext, or a different custom recovery, like cwm. 4ext seems to be the most reliable and feature-rich recovery at the moment.
