[Q] Bluetooth Printing - Samsung Infuse 4G

Will our phones print web pages and such over the Bluetooth? My wife does a lot of printing coupons and I figured it would be one more IP to print from if its possible. I know it wont print them via cloud and such. Thanks in advance

Take a look at PrinterShare. This page doesn't mention BT but the app supports it. Try the free, crippled version first to check compatibility.
http://www.printeranywhere.com/mobile.sdf

I saw that but if I get a new printer Id like to do it over bluetooth.

Printers over wifi & Google cloud print are pretty well fail proof. If running ICS ull have the ability to run chrome. Chrome from ur main PC or notebook use chrome, go into settings advanced settings. Click Google cloud print to add ur new wifi printer. It's all self explanatory from there.

[Q] Print Cloud or Cloud Print ???

Did a little searching and found a little tid bit on the G-Tablet forum about Cloud Print but just that it was good. That's good to know.
What I'm really wanting to know is which is better; Cloud Print or Print Cloud which from the screenshots looks to be optimized for the tablet.
My main objective is to be able to be at work and if I need to, to print something off at my home printer that I can do it remotely. Am I wrong in thinking that Google Cloud Print can do that? Also it seems that just recently pdf file format was supported with Cloud Print. Cloud Print just had an update four days ago while Print Cloud had it's last update on July 21st. I don't know if that is actually relevent but I just thought I would throw it in there.
Has anybody used both of these and if so which do they think is better and why?
EDIT: Disregard; I found the answer I was looking for.
I'm curious to know what to answer you found was? I've wanted to know this same thing for a while.
Print Cloud is for any Ricoh Print Cloud enabled device. Meaning Ricoh devices. Cloud Print is for almost every printer out there. Also if you have one of the very new HP printers that have Cloud Print capabilities you don't even need to have your computer on to print to the printer.
Google Cloud Print is really neat. Once you have your printer and Google account set up, so long as your computer and printer stay on you can be anywhere in the world and print to your printer via your tablet. The nice thing is that the Cloud Print app is free. Considering that the iOS app for the iPad is $10. Two thumbs up for Android apps.
I was at work yesterday and jumped up on my TF and retrieved an email that I wanted printed so a family member could use the information. I opened my email and 'selected all' in the document, chose the Share button up at the top and selected Cloud Print and sent my email to my printer at home where my daughter could get the Sku / Tracking number for an item I had purchased at Walmart for 'Site to Store' pickup. She took the printed email and went to Walmart and picked up the item and it was waiting for me when I got home.
Possibilities are endless with this service. Imagine browsing the web and you come across a web page that has an article that you want printed. Just copy the article and share it and select Cloud Print and send it to your printer and it will be waiting for you when you get home.
It's still in beta but I can assure you that it works very well.
Cheers...

Printing to wifi printer

So I finally got printing all worked out on my captivate. I have a wireless printer and really want to leave the laptop on the desk and use my phone for everything. The one major problem has been printing. Finally, here's an answer...
To Print from your Captivate, it will cost you about $4.50 (or limit yourself to 3 docs a month.)
General Printing - test this first
Get PrintBot from the market (free version to test out - supposed to cover 2700 wireless printers)
Open it and setup your printer. My settings are...
Network Connection : Protocol - Auto Printer - choose your own
Printer : Re-select your printer
And print a test page. If this works, you are in business
Printing an Excel or Word Document:
Printbot is great for pictures and pdfs, but it doesn't print office docs, so those that your coworker emailed you just sit there So here's the great workaround.
First make sure you install these two programs:
From the market, find and install google documents, open it and sign in. Make sure you can use this on your cappy.
From the market, find "My Docs - Google Docs" (by RCS, LLC), install it and sign in.
Now you are about ready! Don't give up hope to soon!
You must upload your file to Google Docs, but for some odd reason it doesn't allow you to upload xls into it (unless I'm and idiot and can't find the upload button). But "My Docs" allows this. So open up My docs, click upload, and choose your file. It will be uploaded to your google docs account. You can close mydocs, it has served it's purpose.
Open your google documents (called "Docs" in the app drawer), find the file you uploaded (don't need to open it), from the arrow on the right side - open the pull down menu and click "SEND", choose "PrintBot" from the menu and your doc should start to print. Whew! Lots of steps, but it's done and printed. Caution! Watchout for multipage excel files, it will print each and every worksheet.
And Finally Printing Email from Gmail:
For some crazy reason, none of these programs interface easily. So you are in your gmail app and want to print off your free redbox rental code or some password you keep forgetting. Leave the email alone and open up your browser (yep, back to the www).
Go to the online version of mobile gmail. Sign in and open the email you want to print (I set up a shortcut on my homescreen). On the right side of the email, open the pulldown menu (double down arrows) and click "Print". This will open up google cloud print. You should have an option to "save to google docs" where it converts your email to a pdf and stores it in google docs. Then click "PRINT", it will create a pdf document of your email. you can close the www, or just surf around for a while...
Now back to google documents on you phone, find the pdf, click the menu on the right, click send and send it to Printbot. It will print your pdf.
And that's the whole 99 steps to printing documents with your captivate. OO) Actually it works pretty quick as long as you use your home wifi. I tested it with excel, word, and gmail files.
Good luck - Will
Or, check out Cypria Free from the market.
thanks

That would work for photos, but I wanted emails, excel, word too. Plus Cypria is epson printers. But I'm sure it works great for most uses.
Sorry about the epson part. Wasn't thinking about everyone else.
Try Printer Share from the market. Works for more printers and prints almost everything.

That looks like it would work better, and has the with the ability to choose which pages to print. A bit more expensive, but probably worth it of you printed a fair number of pages.
It was free in Amazon app market a while back. Maybe the will do it again.

WP7 Skydrive - no app to access the computer

As you all know, skydrive and WP7 sync pretty well together. Everyone is happy with their 25gb storage (or 7 if ur new).
But when u go to skydrive website, u can also view the computers that are currently turned on and sharing files online (its on the bottom left corner)
it comes online when u install the skydrive client on your computer.
So my question is... how come we dont have an app that can access that yet? The whole computer folder is ONLINE, you can access any files within as long as the computer is switched on, ie. acting as a server.
Imagine instead of 25gb, u have access to ur entire computer drive and u can stream music and video off that like the skyrdrive app. We wouldnt be restricted to 25gb, (im sure a lot of peoples music and video folders are in terrabytes) and we can connect where ever we go if we have 3G connection.
Maybe its because the API hasnt been released yet but .... i think this is something MS or developers should be working towards.
That's a really good idea! Until someone develops such an app, we can access skydrive website from WP and click on "PC site" and voila! You can access your PC! And the speed of the PC site is also fast
Yea but i want to stream music / video with an app it would be soooo convenient
I have a desktop that i leave it on as server anyways, so might as well.
this is the function in skydrive
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/skydrive/fetch-files-pc-ui
I am sorry, what?
I am not sure I am getting your point.
-there's a windows program that allows you to sync a local folder to skydrive - check
-there's a WP7 app that allows you to access files on your skydrive - check
-as far as I am aware, you can also stream music and movies off skydrive to your WP7 (I haven't checked or tried yet, though It works with both movies and music).
So, what is it you're looking for?
EDIT: If you're looking for a sync option from skydrive to your phone, how would that work? Your skydrive is 25Gb, WP7 phones have 16Gb max. So you can't simply sync your skydrive to your phone...
EDIT2: I think I figured out what you're looking for. You're looking for a way to access not your skydrive, but your computer from your phone. The feature you describe is a feature of the skydrive website that allows you to remotely upload files from your (running) computer. I vaguely recall seeing apps on the marketplace that would allow such a thing. I'll have to check, though...
EDIT3: A possible sollution would be to set up a TVersity Server on your PC. You can then stream music and video to appropriate clients, for WP7 there's an app called MyMedia WP7.
Note that you'll need to know how to access your TVersity Server from outside your LAN (How to make your PC connectable from the internet). Not the easiest sollution, but then again, the problem you have is very... specific, it's not a general use case.
EDIT4 (I am really good at this aren't I? ): possible alternatives would be the app called "Qloud Media" and Plex, each app requires it's own server software, though.
yep i have tried all those apps u said. I also found another one called Tonido, works ok well but im hoping for some developer to utilize the skydrives full potential (ie. the fetch file) instead of installing another desktop program to allow connection
tversity current dont offer free accounts
I have been playing around with the SkyDrive API the last few months, and I don't believe there is an official "Microsoft-blessed" way to do this via the API.

I'd suggest the same with Nefariouss.
Printershare.
Just go to google play and download it. Easy to use.
Can be used over wi-fi, or google cloud.

Nobody is telling you to print from your PC. You have to use an app called Printer Share, or Cloud Print to print gmail from your NOTE 10.1. We can accomplish this by using the service Google Cloud Print. http://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/
You will set up this service initially on your PC. It will act as an inbetween from your note to your printer. Once you have added your printer to the list of authorized devices in Google Cloud Print you then can use one of the above mentioned apps to print from GMAIL through the APP.
For instance I use Printer Share. So I open the App, and there are 9 options laid out in a 3x3 grid. I choose the Gmail icon and it opens up a list of my gmail emails.I then choose what email I want to print and select the print option. It give me a print overview. At this point I can hit print again and it will print the gmail to the corresponding printer that I have set up through Google Cloud Print.
The only caveat is that your Computer has to be on. But you can then print from anywhere in the world to your printer as long as both your computer is on and your Note has internet access.
You can also use these apps to print any thing from your Note to your home printers. For instance I have a photo printer, color printer and a laser printer connected to my google cloud account. If I'm printing documents or notes I can choose the laser printer. If I need to print something that has color graphs or text I can choose my color printer. If i want to print a photo from my note I can choose the photo printer. I don't use the photo printer that much because I normally don't keep paper in the paper tray and I like a lot more control over my photos through the use of photoshop. But the option is there if you want.
If you use Firefox you can save any website as a PDF from the main menu.

Is is very disappointing in the modern era that I need to have the pc switched on to print from tablet to printer. To add insult to injury Samsung will only allow Samsung printer to print emails (non Google) directly. I can print documents and photos but not emails from tablet to HP printer using HP apps. There is no apps similar to one for pc so that all things can be printed without all these porking around. May be android needs to grownup or me to go back to windows based system.

Why would you ever switch your PC off? If your printer is connected to a desktop then you shouldn't have any problems printing over the network. If it's a WiFi enabled printer, see if there is an app for that printer brand.

Of course man...
In cloud computing, u will still need ur cloud server to be on, in order to access ur sharing files.
Same with this. Ur computer will act as a cloud printer server. Of course it will need to stay on.
Or, if u have a wifi printer, u can try to connect first.

Yes I use a HP WiFi printer. So I don't normally have both on. I still can't believe thereby are no printer drivers or similar for a tablet. I moved to tablet for home use so that I could simply get rid of pc. Now it appears I have to have both systems

Then don't use Google cloud. That was just a suggestion. Use the other suggestion. It is an app called "PRINTER SHARE". It is in the play store. Prints directly from your tablet. Not to be a **** but you keep saying how it amazes you that you can't do this...you can buddy! It amazes me you can't read all the post's to YOUR question! Again not being a **** but it has been stated you can accomplish your goal with an app! Please read everything!

[Q] Google Cloud Print

Google Cloud print (or any other print service plugin) not working on the MIUI 6.
When i go to printing menu, the plugins are listed as off. Selecting any one of them doesnt give any option to enable.
Using printing option from any application gives only the option of "save as PDF". Finding a printer doesnt give any result.
Any solutions?

Same issue here... It seems all print services are not supported due to some policy limitations from Google, I am not able to understand exactly what the problem is. Check out this link http://en.miui.com/thread-50584-1-1.html
Hp ePrint app will work as well as other print apps that do not need service plugin.... If not resolved soon, this will be the first reason for me to root and get CM on my phone, when available...
