Anyone else not have the option to enable push notifications on the official twitter app? It used to be there in the middle of July when they updated the app, but now, I just realized I haven't been getting updates.
I've tried reinstalling, but it hasn't done anything.
Any ideas?

Hi, I've been trying to figure this out for sometime now. My push notifications stop working alot. Specifically if I'm using chrome to phone or desk sms... and even can happen with my facebook notifications also. If I push something to my phone, or text something through desk sms, it wont go through until I restart my phone. I've tried clearing data and uninstalling and reinstalling apps. Anyone else having this issue and/or know a fix to it?
I'm rooted using stock CM11s.
I'm getting notifications for my Gmail, but that's about it.
The following never actually show up: Facebook, Twitter, GameFly, PlayStation App, Google+, okcupid, Words With Friends.
All notifications show up properly on my HTC Droid DNA, but not on my OnePlus One. Any ideas what the problem could possibly be? Thanks.

Sorry to do this, but one more bump. This is such a frustrating bug.
You sure notifications are activated. If it is still not working maybe try flashing another ROM? Or maybe update to the latest CM11s update that came out today? Just some suggestions.

Yup, notifications are all on. Weren't showing up on 33r, now they're not showing up on 38.
Think Light Flow might be blocking notifications somehow?

I have the chinese B175 rom and I don't get any notificaiton from Gmail, Facebook, Discord etc when the apps are closed. I enabled all the options for notification in the settings but it didn't seem to work either.
So i tried to search on the net and i found 2 ways to resolve it:
- lock the app and never close them
- go on international rom
The first option is battery expensive so no thanks.
As for the second one, i tried to do it but i ended bricking my phone for like 5 hours and it freaked me out so i won't ever do it again lol.
So is there any other way to resolve the problem ?
you gotta play with app permissions and notification settings and keep the app locked and running, i have Chinese version as well and battery last almost 2 days and I can get notifications for whatsapp, gmail, fb, ig and others without any issues
Ok i did what you said and i get notifications now.
I wonder if not receiving notification when the app is closed is a bug or something that Huawei did on purpose on the chinese rom...
Anyway, i hope they fix this in the next update ?

Wondering if anybody else has this problem. No response from Huawei.
They pushed the December 2017 security update OTA. It all went well, except one notification which refuses to go away: "App twin . 100%. Updating twin app..."
I can swipe away the notification, but it comes back. I am using a stock Mate 9 and cannot remove and reinstate App Twin. There are only two apps that show as twins: Facebook and WhatsApp. Both are up to date.

I have another issue with my P40 pro. Instagram messages (directs) don't pop up on lock screen. I have checked in phone settings that it is enabled and also in instagram app that it is enabled all message notifications but i still dont receive them. this happened after the latest update. I also tried to uninstall and install from app gallery but with no fix. Any suggestions?
P.S. Also other apps dont work
Messenger does work only good.
