so this one has HTC Locations in it but its not working?
when the other insert coin removed HTC Locations and offered it as a flashable zip it wouldn't let me activate my licence where as it worked fine but it was messed with.
Does it have the awesome see thru htc widgets ?

Yes i understand that, but most is not all, why not include it so that people who want to use your rom plus HTC Locations (as the licence doesnt work when it is re flashed) and include a flashable removal script... I do really like your rom... but without a working htc Locations that allows the licencing to work its useless to me and other people who have paid for the satnav.

its GPS location thats broken not the locations app. He removed it become some people don't use it.... he added it as a flashable zip file but when flashed into the rom any paid licence is void and doesnt allow validation, therefore any paid services are void.
if he leaves it in the rom intact it will work for people who will like to use it, and then provide a script to remove it if people don't want it.

Is it possible to use a temp root to get HTC Locations/Footprints on the T-Mobile branded Sensation? Last I heard of getting it on the T-Mo version was before a temp-perm root was achieved.

Okay I searched for it and came across http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=539530 which has three zip files and this is also from 2009 we are in 2011 and I am using a S-Off HTC Sensation does anyone have an updated version of it and how do I install it?

Thanks, I'm hoping to find a way to add it I have Coredroid which has been working flawlessly since I installed it and I have loved their rom since my TP2 days.
*** I actually just found that I have locations it looks/reminds me of what I remember footprints to be is there a difference between it and footprints?

You're missing the point... An official sense 3 base on which to build a custom rom, with no resizing whatsoever, designed from ground up to work on the desire S, would be a killer start...

Hey all I new here
I have a HTC sensation it broke twice so has been sent of for repair loads
Iv recently ft it back with the GPS not working it comes up with the flashing
GPS icon in notification bar but doesn't lock.
So I decided to root it and install fash Rom to se if it could fix the problem
But sadly hasnt.
I realy can't be bothered to send it away again because they are crap at repairs
U always get it back with something else broken lol.
Is there a place were I can buy a GPS receiver and replace mine?
Hope to here what you guys think.

It's not a hardware issue. Download GPS status from the market and clear the GPS cache. Should fix your problem.

For the most part it should work. Usually whenever gps shows sats but doesn't lock it mostly has to do with kernels, ril/radio combos, and the version of superuser one is on.
I had an issue where the gps would not lock at all, but after a lot of troubleshooting, I ran into those issues. I just flash whatever rom I want, make sure the ril and radio combo works. Do not mess with the kernels for now and test for gps. If it doesn't work, try crypted's fix.

Hey all I have tryed that fix flashed with adb didn't work sadly. Is there a command using adb that could state wat the GPS is doing. I tryed GPS status is said no satellites found and non in use.

Did you reboot? And what kernel are you using? And have you confirmed that you have the correct ril/radio combo working with that rom you are using?
I rebooted. And I used the radio that was recommended. And I'm using [email protected] Thank you for the help mate

Just a fyi, I have always had problems with faux kernels and running gps. Is that kernel the bundled into the rom? Is there a more 'stock' kernel you can try?
Also use file explorer/astro to the system/etc folder. Make sure you just delete the suplrootcert. It's not needed to run gps at all. Totally optional file the gps.conf file uses, but I delete it anyways.
yea it was a bundle i think there was a stock rom. what rom and kernels are good for sensation.

Shut down the phone and take the battery out for 30 seconds. Put it back in and then turn the phone back on. That fixed the problem for me, and it also worked for a number of other people. It might work for you, although there is only one way to find out!

Download turbo gps from the market and see if you getting NMEA strings,if they are empty take the gps.pyramid.so file from system/lib/hw/ and replace it with the same file from sense rom. This solution fixed my gps issues on aosp roms.

Last time I tested it, Leedroid tweaks was not compatible with this base.

That may work as long as you don't over use it and get flagged on the carrier side. I'm looking into it...
The APN's are hard coded into the framework-res.apk. I should be able to port over the XE framework to get things working...

Cool rom. Downloading it right now, 38 minutes remaining. After being back and forth with Sense 4.0, AOSP, and 3.6, I'm actually starting to like 3.6 the most. Also, I love The Dude. Just throwing that out there.
Edit: Okay, hats off. Thank you SO MUCH for asking if we want social networking apps in the installer. The first thing I do during a rom install is Titanium Back + Pro and mass uninstall all that.

The Problem,
Since JellyBean releases HTC have added extra protection around their RUU's making the rom.zip file still getable from the RUU but with what bender_007 says are extra bytes - this means that any attempt to extract the system.img gives a CRC error.
This is not particuarly my area of expertise so I hope those with more knowledge/ideas will come and discuss this

I hate HTC attitude, they said that they won't release JB for old devices and lock the ROM files. I wish you guys the best of luck solving it and giving us, once again, the best ROM available.

nah..you can't flash it , but you can try to. The app has too some conditions on flashing .
We can override the conditions, someone would flash it and then dump the image.
