[Q] Droid Charge Camera Problems - Verizon Droid Charge

Hey all,
I'm having an annoying issue with my droid charge and I'm curious if it's just me or everyone.
When I take a picture with my charge it saves just fine, if I connect my droid charge to my laptop and (or mount and unmount the SD Card) and the media scanner runs all my photos get erased.
I've tried to look for the photos in the SD card but I only see them in the .thumbnails directory. Does anyone else have this problem or have a solution? My phone is stock but I did transfer my DCIM directory from my old phone over if that makes any difference.
Thanks

How are you connecting to your laptop? Via the OEM cable or a micro sd to sd card adapter?

I am connecting it to my computer via the OEM cable

Please assist with micro sd card with bad blocks

Hey everyone,
I have a 1gb micro sd card. It apparently has bad blocks and cannot be recognized by my 8525 (WM6.1), vista pc or xp sp2 pc. I have the programs to recover the info on it, but none of these programs are effective because the card doesn't show up as a drive.
I am attempting to access the card directly from the phone. With the pc's I have an usb adapter that I know works because I use it for my 8gb micro sd card to swap information.
Can some one give me an answer on how to either fix the bad blocks or make the card recognizable by the ppc or pc's? The recovery programs I have say they will get info off a formated card, but I can't format what the phone or pc's doesn't recognize.
Thanks.
which apps did you try?
if if i'm not mistaken i managed to recover a card using Active Recovery 7
The easiest way for me was, plug your card back to where it gave you a bad blocks, and it should be readable, then backup your datas there,.
this is what i did to my 2GB miniSD for Olympus e520 SLR Camera (the camera lost now),.
I plug it in to my friend laptop, then it cant be readable by any device, then i plug it again, and its readable, then i back it up, then i leave the miniSD,.
Hey G, Thanks for the reply. The card went bad in a digital camera. So I should place the microsd card in the camera, use the usb cord to connect to the pc, remove the usb cord once the card doesn't read, then reconnect the usb cord?

External sdcard

When i connect phone to PC, external sdcard is not seen. What are you guys doing to see ext sdcard from PC.
I can't get mine to show up either.
There is a USB app in the marketplace that doesn't seem to work too well.
I've resigned myself to rebooting the phone with the USB cable in, in disk mode. When the phone comes back up it always seems to show up mounted as a drive on my mac.

[Q] SD Card

Need some help with this. I have a trail camera for watching deer in the woods. It has a SD card adapter with transflash card in it to record the photos on. I have an android phone with transflash card. But if I swap them out I lose my custom ringtones I have set up for everyone. Is there some way I can get those photos onto my cell phone without having to bring the trail camera home and download the photos?

Only Way I Can Think Of Is To Connect To Your Computer For Transfer, Either That Or Email Them To Yourself, Then Go To Email From Your Phone! Also I Would Recommend Making A SDCard Backup On A Computer, In Case Of Losing Files, Say (Ringtones)
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
What I was thinking was a male to male mini usb cable. But I guess the phone doesn't have the drivers to read from another usb device.

Are Both Of The SdCard The Same Size, If So You Can Press...
Unmount SD, Then Put The New One In Your Phone To Then Connect To PC, Me Myself I Have A SDCard I Just Purchased That Allows You To Insert A Micro SdCard Into That, To Then Transfer Apps/Pics/Files..... To A PC Easily!!

What if you just copy the custom ringtones to the internal memory of your phone with a file manager, swap the cards and then copy them back to the card?

[Q] Accesing the McroSD card via USB?

I installed a Micro SD card in my TF and cannot figure out how to access it while connected to my pc VIA USB cable? When I plug it in the PC does recognize the transformer but does not see the micro sd card? Also Asus sync starts up and i dont want to run it, is there a way to remove this program or stop it from starting up?
Any input would be appreciated, thanks.
Found out the answer to half my question. The Micro SD card is actually listed as a folder inside the TF as opposed to a secondary drive.
Now just to figure out how to get rid of this Asus SYNC bloatware...

[Q] Accessing USB Drive on Maxx HD?

I have a Razr Maxx HD, updated to Jelly Bean, and a USB OTG cable. I have been trying to access folders and files on both a camera SD card and a USB flash drive, but have had no luck.
In SETTING>STORAGE I see the USB (or SD card) gets mounted for the system as USB DISK /STORAGE/USBDISK_1.1.1
However, I can not find a route through the FILES app to access the drive or SD card.... What am I missing?? I have download a couple apps for files access (File Expert, currently), but still do not see anything added through the USB OTG cable....
Now I know I'm a NOOB

Even thought I have been working with computer systems and programming since the early 1980's, [even worked with Andy Rubin on the first email program for our college computer system (and we have been friends ever since)], I still have some issues getting used to new devices:laugh:
I found my own answers within the File Expert app, after a bit more playing around. Even though the tab for folders only listed the default SD Card, External SD Card and Phone Internal Storage, selecting the "External SDCard" and then clicking on the address box at the top allows backing up to the "/Storage" folder and then out to the "USBDISK_1.1.1" folder and accessing the files...
Hope this will help anyone else with issues, as I found nothing on this site addressing this question :victory:
Now I just need to find a small SD Card reader that will handle my class 10 SD cards from my Nikon DSLR so I cam post to the web during our trip to Hawaii in May, as I am leaving the laptop home, just the Razr Maxx HD and possibly a new tablet (Xoom?)
