I'd love a cool one too. I REALLY hate the tmobile one that comes stock. Also can't wait for some custom lockscreen rings!!! hint hint...............
Our EVO 3D boot animations are in /system/customize/resource I think it's a safe bet your guy's are, too
Delete the files that end in _bootanimation.zip and put your new one in /system/media/

Not sure that splash screens are flashable. Boot animations are, but I don't know about splash screens. I could be wrong, though.

You need an s-off bootloader to flash a splash screen (the one before the boot anim). If you want more info I can link you, but beware, if you don't want to read and know what you're doing, you may seriously F your phone.
I mean, yea, its possible to f up your phone, but if you just read and execute the instructions, you should be fine . A search should pull up the thread

just make sure you use the correct splash method for your bootloader. i.e. you cant use fastboot with regaws method, it must be HERCIMG.zip. happy flashing.
I'm using unrevoked, with hercimg.zips... works great...

there is only one i know of and thats the CRT animation that most roms have
you can look into LeeDroid he changed his unlock ring to have his name on it.

No, I mean like Nexus S style, or CyanogenMOD 7. The CRT- OLD TUBE TV Animation when you lock/unlock your phone

LeeDROIDs ROM comes equipped with this and by far the best rom I have tried

I tried that and it doesn't work
It is already in leedroid's rom. Where u turn off the screen and shuts off with the animation.

I think what people are looking for is either a zip or a how to for this. Some of us don't really need/want to flash an entirely new rom.

After flashing go to Setting->Display->Animations and select all animations.

Enable animations, it doesn't have to be all. I have some and it works fine.
Settings - Display - Animation - Some window animations are shown.

Same problem here... I've done every kinda wipe and even flashed a few diff Rome. But it still shows up

It changes boot animation, removing htc animation boot ...
I think Im not sure but your saying that you wanna change the boot animation? When you have a custom rom some of the boot animations are already in there... I personally havent changed mine and Im using CoreDroid... I would like to find out how to change it... There is an old version of insert coin that I use... I think its Insert Coin 1.0.9 and I can change all of that and the phone is still very quick... If you are talking about the image before your boot animation that would be your splash logo that you can change by going here

If you flash rom on top you will change only bootanimation not splash. You have to do it manually for example from terminal.
Just flash another bootanimation.zip and replace splash image/first boot image .

Yes i did it with a soft i found to splash, and it's ok now !! thanks a lot all of you guys.
What is the stock splash image ? Can I simply delete current insert coin ugly splash ??
you can get rid of it by installing any stock rom

Which version of HTC Sense should I go with after I S-OFF? I like Sense 4.0, which my brother has on his One S, but Sense 3.6 has also caught my eye.
Sense 4 isnt perfectly functional but unless you use BT alot it doesn't matter.I'd go for S4 personally (Although im on MIUI at the minute as the battery life is far better than any sense variant)
I don't actually have a Bluetooth. I mostly like eye candy. I like aosp, I'm a man of bells and whistles. I like to be able to show my friends the advanced graphics and such.

When you unlock bootloader you obtain s-off if im not wrong and the best way to do it is whit revolutionary method or htcdev works aswell but if you send your device backin whit htcdev method they will know you have hacked ur phone :/

Most definitely S-off, with S-off you have full read write permissions for all partitions. With HT Dev unlock you only have read write permissions for your System, Boot, and Recovery partitions. Plus you have to flash the boot.img for each ROM you want to use manually via fastboot command or use Smartflash in 4EXT.
Sorry but I do not know about Darktremor.
I noticed Evo lte has custom splash screens that hide the red HTCdev message. Think this method would workforus? If so we need to get our splash on!

From what I see the Evo LTE uses the same partition for the splash screen as the One X so I'd say there method would work for us.

Thanks.. Maybe i'll get the nerve to try it. I bricked the other day doing simple stuff i didnt think would matter...It did matter! Tried to install CWM through the recovery manager app. No warnings or nothing. Said it installed correctly. Reboot and i'm in emergency download mode.. Bricked

Your custom boot image would need to have a red background where the text appears to actually 'hide' the HTCDev boot message.

If anyone is interested in splashscreens ive tried 4 of the evo lte splash screens, and they all worked!! However, the red htc message is still there.
