[GUIDE] Changing bootanimation.zip on T-Mo Sensation w/S-OFF and root - HTC Sensation

I saw a thread in general, answered it, and figured this is a better place for this sort of thing. This only applies to the T-Mobile branded Sensation, but might help others as well.
1. Open up Root Explorer and navigate to where you put the bootanimation.zip you want to use.
2. Copy it from there then go to /system/customize/resource.
3. In Root Explorer, then make sure to click the "Mount R/W" button.
4. Paste it there.
5. Find the file "TMOUS_bootanimation.zip" and rename it to "TMOUS_bootanimation.zip.bak" or something of the like.
6. Rename the file you pasted to "TMOUS_bootanimation.zip" and reboot.
There you have it! I've tested it and it works for those of you that managed to get S-OFF and perm root working.
I also wanted to note that my personal experience with this did NOT require changing any file permissions. Your mileage may vary.
I've added the boot animation that was in the leaked video from AlphaRevX to get you started:
View attachment bootanimation.zip

Do you know of any boot animations for the qHD display? That might be a great thing to add to your post.

You need to change permissions otherwise you will get blank screen.

yes i did im guessing im doing something wrong i will try it with another one and see if it works , what resolution should i use if i only use a pic how do we make our own boots animations ?

It's your zip file. To make it work just pull the oem one and remove the files from within using winrar and insert yours same way. That will fix it. I know it's the compression of the zip file but can't remember how to compress it. Search the forum for boot animation compression or google it.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App

Thanks! I made it my boot down and boot up animation LOL

since a lot of you guys are having problems making bootanimations ...
1. the zip file must not have any compression
You can do this with 7zip. Right click the files, 7zip -> add to archive -> for "compression level" select "store"
2. you should sign the zip
not sure if this is necessary although I simply sign everything that goes into my system folders. You can use ZipSigner from the market. (For "key/mode" select "platform")
3. rename the extension of the current bootanimation to .bak or just skip this if you never want to use it anymore
4. copy the signed file to system/customize/resource with root explorer
5. in root explorer hold your finger on the file till the menu pops up. Tap on "permissions"
Owner: read & write checked, execute unchecked
Group: read checked, rest unchecked
Others: read checked, rest unchecked
6. restart and you're done!
I attached an animated dark blue qHD HTC quietly brilliant bootanimation that I made for good measure.

is it a video that u brake down in to frames or is it pics that you take i have no idea how to start i can do the last part no problem but how or were to start would b a great help thx ...

oh well why not..
1. create a folder called "android" and place the frames of your animation in PNG format in that folder.
2. name them as follows:
NAME_01.png
NAME_02.png
...
NAME_xx.png
3. create a text file called "desc.txt" containing for example:
540 960 15
p 1 1 android
explanation of the desc file:
Width Height Frame-rate
p Loop Pause Folder
first line: width height frames-rate
second line: p just stands for play. the first number says how often to loop the animation. The second number says for how long to pause the animation after every loop. the string is the name of the folder we created above.
So now you have the desc.txt and a folder with your png files - compress them as uncompressed zip file. Continue as described in my previous post.

wouldnt it be easier to just adb push it to that directory?

here is the original image site
anywho, i can obviously change the words from "Jerms's Evo 4G" to whatever you'd like.. just post on the thread with what you want and i can either put the rgb565 file on mediafire or email it to you...
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL NEED TO FASTBOOT FLASH THIS IN THE BOOTLOADER AND IF YOU GOOF SOMETHING UP, IT ISN'T ON ME! ALSO THIS IS NOT REVERSIBLE UNLESS YOU LOOK AROUND AND FIND THE STOCK SPLASH RGB565 FILE AND FASTBOOT FLASH THAT OVER THIS OR RUN AN RUU FROM YOUR COMPUTER! THIS IS NOT TO BE DONE IN RECOVERY! THE ZIP YOU GET HAS THE RGB565 FILE AND YOU NEED TO EXTRACT IT AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FARTHER DOWN IN THE POST
*** youll need to have your hboot S-OFF / full nand unlock ***
to do it all easy and breezy...
1) make sure you have the android sdks installed
2) run cmd.exe (im on xp thats how i do it... so what of it yo? ) or your terminal or whatever it is thats on a god-forsaken mac
3) cd to your tools folder or wherever your adb and fastboot and stuff are
4) toss the evosplash1.rgb565 file i give you from the zip into said folder
5) plug in your phone to the comp and turn on USB Debugging if you dont have it on... and now choose a, b, or c...
a) if you have a reboot menu mod just hold power and go to Reboot then Bootloader then OK
b) type in "adb reboot bootloader" into your command window
c) simply power off or battery pull (if you choose to?) and then hold Vol DOWN and power and wait til the screen turns on with the skating androids then let go and wait for its to say no PCIMG whatever found (as long as you don't have one on your sdcard, and if you do... get rid of it!) and Vol Down once to FASTBOOT and push power
6) now then you'll see some red text that will say FASTBOOT USB after a second on the screen and now comes the fun part
7) go to your command window and type:
fastboot devices
(if you want to verify you have a connection, itll says some random serial number)
or just skip that and type:
fastboot flash splash1 evosplash1.rgb565
8) hit enter
9) youll see some text on the screen saying
sending 'splash1' (750KB) ... OKAY [time it took in seconds]
writing 'splash1' ... OKAY [time it took in seconds]
finished. total time [whatever whatever seconds]
10) itll kick you back to your tools folder
AND PRESTO! there ya go... Vol down to the reboot on your phone in the bootloader menu and when it does its thing and BZZT! there it is in all of its ridiculous glory
ANOTHER WARNING! I HAVE NEVER MADE A TYPO WHEN DOING THIS FLASH SO I CAN'T VOUCH FOR WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU MISTYPE ANYTHING... ALWAYS DOUBLE OR TRIPLE CHECK YOUR WORK!
i flashed it like 4 times total after i made a shoop that i was content with for the moment then was like "ohh better idea" so yeh, the instructions above are foolproof if you don't fudge up
Can u make a pc360.zip. I think is easiern.. Cuz I don't have a computer anymore ..

well i followed the instructions by stoney and made the pc36img zip
http://www.mediafire.com/?zh2hjbl5ipb1fer
i made it say HTC Evo 4g instead of Jerms's with same font style
i didn't test this on my device so your gonna be playing with fire by flashing it in bootloader but i did exactly as instructions said, changing the evosplash1.rgb565 to splash1.img and kept the android-text.info as is... so if you want to try it go for it but if something borks then, im sowwie but you could be sol and jwf...
enjoy

I use 7zip to rename cuz it wouldn't convert when I would rename it on a right click. You know it is right when the rgb file turns into a disc image after renaming it. If it doesn't convert then I would deffinetly use 7zip.

i havent tried 7-zip but that is one hell of a magical headache saving tool in the world of android development i do, however, have my explorer prefs set to show file extensions, so if i have "brown_noise.wav" in a folder and i right click > rename > and change it to "zomg.mp3" it'll ask if im sure i want to change the extension and i agree.. then right click > properties.. it changes the file type accordingly... which is what i did for the rgb565 to img conversion within that pc36img zip in the above post... so here's hoping eh? haha

2. merge into 1 layer
3. go to the channel mixer (image > adjustments > channel mixer)

5. select the blue channel and change red to 100 and blue to 0
6. hit OK, note that the colors will look weird now, but will show correctly on the phone
7. save image with .raw extension
8. rename the output file to logo.bin
9. to make things easier, move it to the same folder as fastboot so that you will not have to type directory names, or you can type out the whole directory.
10. turn off your phone and turn on while holding both volume buttons, chose AP fastboot
11. open a command window in the same folder as fastboot and type
Code:
fastboot flash logo.bin logo.bin
it will take a second or two, then when it succeeds, reboot to see your new logo!

You should be fine even if you screw it up badly, as long as you type the the right fastboot command. don't try to flash this over system or something. even if it does go wrong, your logo would just be bad, and you could flash the default one that is included in all the fxz downloads floating around. this is a very simple tweak, so there is not much risk. worst case, you flash back to stock with the fxz and you are totally normal, but I see no reason that would have to happen. the development forum is more for advanced stuff like rom development
Finally got around to trying this looks awesome..... I got the boot animation where Andy zaps the apple fits perfect.....

If you put the file in the same folder as fastboot you can just type in the filename instead of typing out a long path to another folder.

You are simply flashing it with fastboot. If you are gonna do this stuff, I would recommend you get familiar with fastboot and working with command line in general.
Anyways, just open a command prompt window in the same folder as fastboot and type fastboot flash logo.bin "name of your image.bin"

[HOW TO] Theme ALL keyboards without FCs! [A guide for beginners]

I posted the original thread over in the Sprint section here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1915508 Please try to keep questions in the Sprint thread, but I wanted to share here also. Hopefully this helps someone!!.
Theming a keyboard may be common knowledge to some of the amazing Devs here. But to a noob like me, it took some research and time to get it working without breaking the original signature (That's the trick!). I searched the forum and it doesn't look like anyone has posted a "How To" on theming a keyboard, so I thought I'd share my experience with you all.
**Some of these steps may seem elementary, but I tried to explain everything in layman's terms so even a beginner can theme a keyboard.
// Before you get started:
You must have a working environment setup. Check out QBKing77's awesome video "How to install the android-sdk" to get that going.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614922
Make sure you also have installed:
Notepad++ (for editing xml) // (www.notepad-plus-plus.org)
7zip (for extracting apks) // (www.7-zip.org)
the image editor of your choice. I use Paint.Net(www.getpaint.net), and Gimp(www.gimp.org). Both FREE!
apktool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1755243)
LatinImeDictionaryPack.apk (drop in the 'system\app' folder on your phone. Only for the LatinIME.apk) Grab it here: http://d-h.st/Ebb
// This method has worked with every keyboard that I have encountered so far. I will use 'LatinIME.apk' for reference, as that is the stock ICS keyboard. //
WARNING.. DO NOT POST DISTRIBUTION LINKS TO ANY MODDED 'Swype.apk'. XDA HAS A STANDING ORDER FROM NUANCE (MAKERS OF SWYPE), THAT DOES NOT ALLOW SUCH LINKS TO BE POSTED.
1) To start make sure you have a working copy of your keyboard apk; grab it out of a ROM, download it, or use a file manager with root access (like Root Explorer) to copy it to your SD card then to your computer.
**I would suggest dropping the keyboard apk into a folder on the desktop, seperate from anything else, and making a backup of the original so that you have a spare copy.
2) Using 7zip extract the 'res\drawable-xhdpi' folder into the folder you created. This folder will contain the pngs that control some of the keys, outlined in red on this pic:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Color these pngs to match using your favorite editor and save (bucket fill with Paint.Net is a breeze!)
3) Now that your pngs are themed.. Within the folder that you created containing your apk, hold down shift and right click. Select "Open Command Window Here" to fire up command prompt.
4) Next to decompile the keyboard apk with apktool (again using 'LatinIME.apk' for reference, but the apk may be of a different name; SamsungIME.apk, HTC_IME.apk, etc.).
Type this command:
Code:
apktool d LatinIME.apk
When it's done, you will see a folder with the apk name appear, within the folder you created. Click into it and you should see at minimun a 'res' folder and a 'smali' folder.
5) Navigate to 'res\values' folder. Depending on the keyboard you are working on, the xml controlling the remaining key colors will be contained in the 'colors.xml' or 'styles.xml' file. Open with Notepad++, and change the color codes as needed. Save and close.
6) Go back to the root of the folder containing your apk, and fire up command prompt (if it's not still open). Now it's time to build using this command (again using 'LatinIME.apk' for reference, but the apk may be of a different name; SamsungIME.apk, HTC_IME.apk, etc.)
Code:
apktool b LatinIME
7) When it's done building, you should have 4 folders minimum now (res, smali, build, dist) and it's time for the key to success. Navigate into the 'dist' folder and you will see the "Built" apk. Open it with 7zip, and extract the 'resources.arsc' file to your folder. Close 7zip.
8) Now it's time to pull it all together. Navigate back to the ORIGINAL keyboard apk, and open with 7zip.
Copy (you can drag and drop with 7zip) the 'resources.arsc' that you extracted from your "Built" apk, into the "ORIGINAL" apk overwriting the file. Then with 7zip still open and the apk loaded, navigate (within 7zip) into the 'res\drawable-xhdpi' folder where you should see the list of unthemed pngs. Simply drop your edited pngs into this folder. Close 7zip and you're done here!
9) Finally, take your "ORIGINAL" but themed apk, and push it back the 'system\app' folder on your phone.
Fix permissions to 'rw-r--r--' (only check everything under 'read' and Owner under 'write')
Reboot, and bask in the glory of your new themed keyboard!
**Alternatively, grab my empty zip installer here: http://d-h.st/oKG to flash in recovery. You must drop your themed apk into the system\app folder of the zip and save. Also, the zip already contains the 'LatinImeDictionaryPack.apk'
Please hit THANKS if I helped!! And please keep this thread alive!

dude you rock.
ive never tried anything like this but i think im going to.
thanks for sharing.
Super excited about this write-up. I used to theme a bit on the Nexus One but have been off of Android for a number of years unfortunately.
Now I'm back and what to get back into it... unfortunately I have forgotten most of what I had learned. Thanks for the refresher!

[GUIDE] How To Make Bootanimation

Hello Everyone
Here Is The Tutorial On How to Create Ur Own Boot Animation for U r Mobile... (Specifically Using Bootanimation Factory By @despotovski01)
Requirements :
1) Windows OS
2) BootAnimation Factory ( Press Thanks Button For His Awesome Work Without Which I Would Have Never Learned It )
3) Image Resizer (To change the resolution of the images)
4) Image Editing Software ( Your wish)
(A)Photoshop (B) GIMP
5) 7Zip
6) Notepad++
What Is BootAnimation??
The Android boot animation is contained within a an uncompressed zip file called bootanimation.zip that can be found in the media folder of the system partition i.e. /system/media on the internal memory of the device. This single file contains all the information required to play the boot animation, and is loaded automatically when the device boots.
What a Bootanimation.zip Contains??
. If you extract the contents of the bootanimation.zip file to your computer, you will see:
1) A desc.txt file
2) A part0 folder (Contains PNG images named in incremental numbers)
3) More part1, part2 etc. folders (May or may not be present)
As you can see, bootanimation.zip merely contains one text file and one or more folders with PNG images. The animation is played simply by displaying the images in a sequence, and the text file defines how they are to be played. In essence, first the PNG files in the part0 folder are displayed one after the other and afterwards, those in the part1 file – if it exists – are displayed, again one after the other, and so on. All of this is defined in the desc.txt file.hence desc.txt file is vital file for creating a bootanimation.
Now Will See What Each Files And Folder Does:laugh:
Imp : This Guide Is Applicable To All Devices..The Change is The RESOLUTION of your Device Change The Resolution Suitable To Your Device Using Image Resizer.Resolution Details Can Be Found On Device Specification.
The folders
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
These contain PNG images named in numbers, starting from something like 0000.jpg or 00001.jpg and proceeding with increments of 1. There has to be at least one folder, and there is no known upper limit to the number of folders.
The desc.txt file
This file defines how the images in the folder(s) are displayed during the boot animation, in the following format:
Width Height Frame-rate
p Loop Pause Folder1
p Loop Pause Folder2
An example of a desc.txt file is:
720 1280 30
p 1 0 part0
p 0 0 part1
As you can see, in the first line, 720 and 1280 define the width and height of the boot animation in pixels for this example. This must be the same as the screen resolution of your device for the boot animation to properly play in full screen. 30 is the frame rate in fps (frames per second) i.e. number of images to display per second.
The second and third lines have a same format, start with p, which stands for a part of the animation and end in part0 or part1, which denotes the folder in which the images for that part are present.
The number after ‘p’ defines how many times this part will loop (repeat playback) before switching to the next part (if present). Specifying 0 would make the part loop indefinitely till the phone has fully booted.
The next number is for the pause, and is expressed in the number of frames, which can be translated into time by dividing it by the frame rate. A pause of 15 for example, would mean pausing for the time it takes 15 frames to play and since the frame rate is 30 frames per second, 15 frames would take half a second.
Translating all of this in case of the above example, the boot animation will play at a resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels, at a frame rate of 30 fps, starting with the contents of part0 folder and after playing them in one loop, switching to contents of part1 folder and playing them continuously till the device fully boots. Best method to find which FPS suits your mobile is open the current Running Bootanimation from your device open the desc.txt and see and enter the same value.
Steps To Create Ur Own Bootanimations
1) Download All The Necessary Tools U need To For This.
2) Install The Necessary Softwares.
3) Go through the entire Inside the bootanimation.zip File Which I will attach at the end of this guide.
4) Plan how your boot animation will run. This includes how many distinct parts it will have, how long will each part play and what will be the sequence of the parts.
5) Make a new folder at any convenient location on your computer, and name it bootanimation.
6) In this folder, create a folder for each part of your boot animation, named part0, part1 and so on.
7) In the image editor of your choice (Adobe Photoshop,GIMP), make all the image files for each part of your boot animation with the proper dimensions equal to your phone’s screen resolution, and save them in the respective folder for each part, in PNG format. Up to 32 bit PNGs are supported.
Note: In case you are converting an existing boot animation to fit your phone’s screen, simply extract the images from it and resize each of them to your device’s screen resolution.
8) Make sure the images are named in numerical format and in proper sequence, i.e. the images in the first part should start with let’s say 00000.jpg and go on till 00075.jpg, and the images in the second part should then start off with 00076.jpg and go on till – for instance – 00123.jpg.
9) Now open the Boot Animation Factory Tool.
10) Click on “Create a New Boot Animation” Button.
11) There will be 2 options Asking for Source (1)From folder and (2) From GIF. Since In This Guide I have used Folder Method, Select Folder and click OK
12) Click On Choose folder and Select The bootanimation folder were u had stored all the necessary folders and images.
13) At the Right Hand Side You Can see the tab were the Resolution of The pics will be displayed..You can edit it and change the resolution and FPS too. Let the setting be “Don’t Repeat”
14) click on add loop button.
15) Select The Folder Ex: part0 . For this folder Set THE LOOP to 1 and TIME DELAY to 0 ( You Can Put your Custom delay if u wish) and Click ADD button.
16) Repeat the Step 15 but here Select the next part In Folder Ex : part1
17) If U have more part folders select the respective part and repeat the Step 15.
18) For last folder ( Ex : If part1 is last folder ) the SET THE LOOP to 0 . So that it Repeats
19) You can PREVIEW your bootanimation before saving by clicking on PREVIEW Button.
20) Click Save Boot Animation Button and name it has “bootanimation”
You Have Done A Bootanimation Successfully..:laugh::laugh:
How To Put It In Your Device?
File browser method (Rooted devices only):
1) Connect your phone to your computer via USB and mount the storage card for file transfer.
2) Copy the bootanimation.zip file that you want to install, to your SD card.
3) Unmount USB storage and launch the file browser of your choice on your phone.
4) Browse to /system/media, copy the existing bootanimation.zip file from there and paste it somewhere safe on your SD card.
5) Browse to the location on the SD card where you copied the new bootanimation.zip and copy it.
6) Browse to /system/media and paste the bootanimation.zip file there.
7) If you are using Root Explorer App, you will have to Touch ‘Mount R/W’. This will make your system partition writeable.
8) Check if the permissions are rw-r—r—. If not, change them to that.
9) Reboot And Enjoy Your New Bootanimation Done by You:laugh:

POST-3THIS GUIDE (POST-3) IS ONLY APPLICABLE TO SAMSUNG DEVICES NOT ANY OTHER ONLY SAMSUNG MOBILES.
CONVERTING BOOTANIMATION.ZIP TO .QMG FILE FOR STOCK ROM'S:laugh:HELLO EVERYONE:highfive:
Requirements :
1) Windows OS
2) Image Resizer (To change the resolution of the images)
3) Image Editing Software ( Your wish)
4) 7Zip
5) Samsung Theme Designer
THIS GUIDE IS THE PART OF [GUIDE] How To Make Custom Bootanimation
What is .QMG files?
These files are done by using Samsung Theme Creater Officially. Its there own way of making animation which ends with making files having .qmg extension. Shocking is Samsung Theme Designer cannot open QMG files, it can only create them
What Does it Contain?:laugh:
It has 2 files
1) Bootsamsung.qmg
2) Bootsamsungloop.qmg
These 2 files are always together has in general they are together bootanimation.zip.
What Does Each File Do?
1) Bootsamsung.qmg
It contains the files needed for boot. These files are not repeatable.
Ex : From bootanimation.zip if there are 2 folders part0 and part1 then part0 is the folder used to make bootsamsung.qmg
2) Bootsamsungloop.qmg
It contains the files for loop execution. These files are repeatable. Its similar to desc.txt file instruction.
Ex : From bootanimation.zip if there are 2 folders part0 and part1 then part1 is your loop and this folder is used to create Bootsamsungloop.qmg.Remember when we made bootanimation .zip we had put no of loops=0
How To Convert Bootanimation.zip To .QMG filesIMP : HERE I CONSIDER THAT THE BOOTANIMATION.ZIP CONTAINS PART0 AND PART1 FOLDER.
MAKING BOOTSAMSUNG.QMG:laugh:1) Open Samsung Theme Designer Software.
2) Click create new theme, use type "feature(NonTouch) phone", then "select model" and use any model.
3) Select Default and Name your theme.
4) Choose "Idle Component" then "Idle Background" and change "Background Type" to "animated".
5) Enter No of Frames and hit enter that is nothing but no of pics in part0 folder.
6) Enter delay (This is bit tricky) here its in ms (milli seconds not FPS) to convert that follow this 1000 / (framerate) = (time given in ms)
for example:
1000 / 20fps = 50ms
or
1000 / 25fps = 40ms
7) Under Repeat option select FALSE for bootsamsung.qmg and TRUE for bootsamsungloop.qmg.
8) Drag your image files sequence from your folder(here its part0 folder) to the empty squares in the bottom of the theme designer.
9) Now export your theme and accept the Samsung terms & conditions and wait for your .STM file theme to be created.
10) Once its done click yes to open the saved folder there Rename the .STM file to .ZIP file and open it.
11) After opening zip file drag "IdleBgAnimObj.qmg" to anywere u wish preferably to desktop.
12) Rename the "IdleBgAnimObj.qmg" has bootsamsung.qmg
13) Now your boot file is Read but wait still loop is not done for that follow the below steps.
Creating Loop File :
1) Open Samsung Theme Designer Software.
2) Click create new theme, use type "feature(NonTouch) phone", then "select model" and use same model has above.
3) Select Default and Name your theme.
4) Choose "Idle Component" then "Idle Background" and change "Background Type" to "animated".
5) Enter No of Frames that is nothing but no of pics in part1 folder.
6) Enter delay (This is bit tricky) here its in ms (milli seconds not FPS) to convert that follow this
1000 / (framerate) = (time given in ms)
for example:
1000 / 20fps = 50ms
or
1000 / 25fps = 40ms
7) Under Repeat option select TRUE for bootsamsungloop.qmg.
8) Drag your image files sequence from your folder(here its part1 folder) to the empty squares in the bottom of the theme designer.
9) Now export your theme and accept the Samsung terms & conditions and wait for your .STM file theme to be created.
10) Once its done click yes to open the saved folder there Rename the .STM file to .ZIP file and open it.
11) After opening zip file drag "IdleBgAnimObj.qmg" to anywere you wish preferably to desktop.
12) Rename the "IdleBgAnimObj.qmg" has bootsamsungloop.qmg
13) Copy the both files and keep them together.
YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY DONE THE .QMG FOR STOCK ROM'S
Thanks!

Hello..!!
That is due to the fact that the Mobile has not detected your bootanimation...Its due to permission..have you changed the permission to rw-r-r??
If not cahnge it to it and try again...If still doesn't PM me your bootanimation to me and will look into it...

[GUIDE] How to Set up & use SVN - For Liberty Sense 6 ROM - EASY GUIDE

Here is a guide on how to set up SVN on your Windows Computer so you can use it with ROMs like Liberty Sense 6. You must also have 7-zip installed.
How to set up SVN for the first time
First download Tortoise SVN from here and install it.
Once it is installed, open a folder inside your user's folder. This is where you will create another folder later
Now right-click in empty space, select Tortoise SVN and select Settings
Picture Help:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Once in Settings, click General and click Edit beside Subversion Configuration file
Picture Help:
A text file will open up. Press CTRL+F and type in (without quotes) "global-ignores".
The line your looking for will be like: # global-ignores = *.o *.lo *.la *.al .libs *.so *.so.[0-9]* *.a *.pyc *.pyo __pycache__
Picture Help:
Now no must delete the "*.so" part only, NOT the "*.so.[0-9]*" part.
Picture Help:
Once it is deleted it should look like the picture below
Picture Help:
Use the picture just before this one to compare and see if you went wrong
Now save the file by clicking File, then Save and close the Notepad (You won't need a picture to help you out there )
You can now close the Tortoise SVN Settings window
Now create a new folder anywhere inside your user's folder or on external storage
(You can call it whatever you want, I named mine Liberty-SixthSense)
Now go inside that folder, right-click in any empty space and select SVN Checkout
Picture Help:
In the Checkout window type or copy in for the URL of Repository (without quotes) "http://sense-6-for-one-s.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/"
Picture Help:
The Checkout Directory will be the folder where you opened up the SVN Checkout window
Then press OK and it will start downloading the files (this will take some time)
Picture Help:
When its finished you should see something these files and folders in the picture below
Picture Help:
I didn't download all the files because it took too long, but you will have the following files & folders
META-INF, additions, boot.img, data, system
Now you must make another folder in the same directory as the one used to download the files. This will be our "output" folder.
(Call it what you want)
Picture Help:
Now go back to the folder we created first, right-click in empty space, select Tortoise SVN and then select Export
Picture Help:
In the window that pops up navigate to your "output" folder, click on it once and click Select Folder
Picture Help:
Once its finished copying the files to your "output" folder, go to it and highlight all the files (Either by clicking and holding and drag to highlight all files or CTRL + Click on each file)then right-clicking in empty space, then select 7-zip and select Add to Archive
Picture Help:
In the 7-zip window, you must select the archive format as "zip". You can change the name as long it has the .zip at the end. Then press OK to start zipping
Picture Help:
That's it , now place the .zip file you just created on your SD Card and flash away!!! Remember, you need HBOOT 2.16 installed. If you don't know how to do that, then follow my other guide here
How to receive and flash new updates
First you have to go to the location of your "output" folder, open it, select all files, right click on them and delete them.
Picture Help:
Now go back to the location of your "output" folder and right click on the other folder and select SVN Update, it should have a green tick on it now
Picture Help:
It will begin to pull any new or changed files which won't take long. Then once its finished pulling the files open the folder with the green tick, right-click in empty space, select Tortoise SVN and then select Export
And that is it, just copy it to your SD Card and flash it. Make sure to select Update Only in the Aroma Installer
Enjoy!!!

Great guide, worked perfectly. Thank you.
Ok, it works.
but I have one question:
after the update, we need to export and ZIP a whole rom, not only update files ?

delete everything inside the output folder do an svn update and export to the output folder
YES
and after that I have a new .zip file ~ 1,2GB...
I was thinking that is possible to make a small .zip file only with updates
But now I understend everything.
when downloading the folders, can it be paused and is it resumeable . or what happens if network fails ?
