[ROM][CDMA][7/24/11]GingerBread Ginger Villain 2.7 (Beta) - Desire Android Development

GingerBread Ginger Villain 2.7 Unofficial Port
Caution this rom is a beta rom and a unofficial port. This also means do not download the kernels in the built in manager.
This is beta build of the gsm rom Ginger Villain. Being the rom is built from cm source. It uses a cdma cm nightly kernel. As far I have tested so far everything works. Credits to the rom/work goes to richardtrip on here. All I did was port it. Here is the link to the home thread Click Here How ever the rom is a bit slow it seems compared to regular cm. Being I don't have a gsm desire to compare to. I have no idea if it is the port or rom.
Any way on to the screenshots:

Install instructions:
Download the version you want from the downloads above. Extract to your sd card. Making sure the mtd text file is on the root of your sd card. If using a prior cmtd replace the mtd text file or now make sure the file is on the root of your card.
For Cmtd with Apps2sd if using cmtd prior. Browse to the Ginger Villain 2.7 folder if that is how you extracted the zip. Install Ginger_Villain-remove-recovery.zip and reboot recovery proceeding with these regular instructions. Browse to the above folder or where ever you put the files. Install Ginger_Villain-recovery.zip and reboot recovery. It is a good idea to wipe and format boot/system. Though should be done with the install of the recovery zip. Your choice to do it or not. Then install Ginger_Villain 2.7_bravoc_signed.zip when install is done reboot system. You should be good to go with nothing else to do.Apps2sd will enable on boot. It should pick up and start using apps2sd.

Looks great man. Thanks for the port.
So I downloaded and wiped dalvik then installed and I'm getting a boot loop. Any suggestions? Will applying the zip through metamorph work?

Wipe cache not Dalvik. Also make sure you are on CM6.1 Stable. No this will not work as a metamorph theme. Make sure this is a fresh CM6.1 that has your account setup and synced with the market.
I just tried it again and everything worked fine. Do you use ADW? Also remember that it may look like its stuck at the boot screen but its not and will boot. Booting rom after update.zip may take a few minutes. Please try again and let me know please. Thanks.
successful, thanks for the help and the theme!

Gaguing Intrest in a AIO one click Rom cooker (Dirty Rom Cooker)

So I'm currently coding a One click AIO rom cooker for ALL OFFICIAL CM supported devices (if it's on the CyanogenMod Downloads page, it'll be included).
Pretty much all you have to do is:
1) Download the folder from my github (link will eventually be included in the thread)
2) select your device
3) Select your version of CM (CM7, CM9 or CM10). IF IT IS SUPPORTED OFFICIALLY (a one click compile CM10 for a HTC Wildfire is outside my coding knowledge and patience level)
4) Set Options (Name your mod, Compile a custom kernel or use stock, copy the rom to your SD card and reboot to recovery, etc)
5) hit go!
It will:
Set up your Linux install (should work for Ubuntu and Debian)
Download the CM Source
Download the required files for your specific device (provided it can be found in the CM repository)
Build the rom
If selected compile Kernel and then recompile including the new Kernel
Copy the rom to an easy folder for you to send to your SD card (or have it do it for you)
Should be easy to update, just repo sync, then recompile (I think)
Easy debugging. All errors are automatically logged to a easy to find file.
What does everyone think of this? I'm aiming to have it released around Christmas, At least a beta version (may not support all devices out of the box, but I will keep working to add more (I need to test each and every device to make sure the cooker works). This will be released under some open source license (currently researching)
Here's a screenshot of what I have working so far (not much but it's a start). It's based on the layout of Android Kitchen.
