I saved the US map on the microSD under the folder " copilot" but Copilot doesn't read the map. Is there any setting to make Copilot read the map from the microSD card?

Hi all.
I have done some search in forums, but found nothing simmilar. So, here we go:
I've got myself 8GB SanDisk microSD class 4 memory card.
And now I have some strange behaviour from it:
- I can not copy files to it using Microsoft ActiveSync Explorer (I was able to do copying when I was using 2GB Kingston microSD card).
- I CAN copy files to it using MyMobileR ver 1.23 integrated Mobile Explorer
- camera often shows too small number of remaining pictures possible (at any resolution). Pictures are going to SD card, OFC...
No items are missing from SD card, no directory names are corrupted...
Card is about 65% used, mostly by iGO 2006 maps, pictures, pocket books and mp3's...
Any ideas?
same sd card works fine for me.
maybe your sd card has some corrupted areas?

I have the same SD card and no problems.
I expect that you are using the Polaris or other equipment that supports SDHC.
I would recommend to format the card using FAT32.
For those like me who have had many failed attempts with TT6 and TT7 using legitimate software and maps I asked ALK (CoPilot) if their CoPilot 7 Touch Diamond edition would would on our devices and allow it to install to an SD card rather than internal memory. They replied that it could be manually copied.
I ordered it and got the CD today.
I copied the CD (DVD) to an SD card, and then moved the files in the Data directory into the CoPilot directory on the SD card.
Inserting the SD card triggered the WM6 cab file to lauch and install the base application on the device.
It's not TomTom but am well pleased with the results and a GPS satellite lock took around 2 minutes even from indoors.
I've downloaded the Camera POI's from PocketGPSWorld and loaded them and all looks good.
Money well spent I think
I just sent back my Garmin (have two units for the vehicles, but don't like that you can't move the data on the card to another, and the ones they sell have 400MB free).
Do you have a link? I want to ensure I can get the US covered with their software. Right now, I'm just using Google Maps. It works well for freeware, but it has me at a location half mile away.

There is also an option to buy and download the diamond application from handango for the same price. Its a 275MB download for the UK maps. Copied the files onto SD card, which then autorun and loaded the main application (11mB) onto the main memory. At last, my estate is correct - the latest maps from tomtom still have non existant roads and roads that go through houses!!!! Full postcode support as well.
iGO8 is great too
Yes, but you are locked to the SD card they provide or is there a way around that and using my own SD card?
BTJ
yes there is AFAIK
I don't know more
Hello,
When I load mp3 files on a microsd, the native music app doesn't see them. It only plays files loaded on the internal memory. The only app I've found that will see and play files on the external microsd is Rockplayer. Is this normal? I have tried different cards and the results are the same. I haven't found any apps, except Rockplayer, that see the removable drive. Am I missing something?
Thanks
i just put all the music on a micro SD and the native music app found them. It took a few minutes for it all to load but I didn't have to do anything special.
I am having the same issues. I posted in another thread as well. This might be a bug? Let me know, what you find out

what is format on external SD. If not FAT32 try that
Same here but I format my MicroSD card and problem solved. I didn't use the quick format not sure if that made a difference, set it at FAT32.
I have another problem with microsd but didn´t want to open up a new thread.
Most of the apps like Polaris Office, Documents to go, Quickoffice don´t let me access the microsd. The standard path is /mnt/sdcard an there is no way to go back to lower levels.
Anyone has the same problem or am I just blind?
Regards
Hachdach
Hell i cant even get my computer to read my brand new msdcard! And i dont think u can format on the tf can u?

As the topic states. It seems I cannot send an attachment through the Gmail app if the file is on the external sd card. If using the built in storage it sends fine.
For the record, external SD sending worked with Maildroid.
Does anyone else have this issue or is it just mine?

External Attachment Problem Still Unsolved
I have the sam problem. Can't seem to find a solution for it though. were you ever able to figure it out?
I have noticed that after inserting a 64GB class 10 SD card when I press the on key it nas a very slow response. The problem is not present when removing the card.
Any suggestions please? Is there a way to bypass this initial delay with the card in place?
Do you have lots of media type files on the card? Android will spend some minutes rebuilding the media storage cache. You need to let it finish. Also do you need to remove the card?
Mine's the same and there's hardly anything on the card. It must be a feature
