[Q] stock email app zip request - Verizon Droid Charge

hi, i spent all day searching for stock charge email app and found it.
however, the apk file won't copy to system folder with root explorer and, it won't install.
just keeps on saying install failed.
if someone could help me out with zip file to flash via cw would be greatly appreciated.
thank you.
i'm looking for stock email app because gummy charged or sgs2 email app won't push email.

Did you mount the system as RW? Root explorer should work just fine. The stock one is named ozemail.apk and some roms have it labeled as email.apk.

yes i did mount it as rw, but still no go.
i've tried to move the file and copy the file, and progress bar pops up for second and nothing is changed in directory.

Just download it through Gummy Toolbox on the phone. Works fine...

thank you so much!
it solved it.
thank you!

Where did you get the apk? Been looking myself.

If you're using a Gummy ROM, open Terminal Emulator, type "SU", press enter, type "Gummytoolbox", press enter, type the number that corresponds with install/delete apps ("1" on GC GBE 1.8) press enter, then choose the number that corresponds with "TWemail". It will download and install it for you.

Yah he put it in gbe but not froyo. Was hoping someone had the actual apk as I am running froyo atm.

[MOD][THEME] Basic Black (5.24.11)

Hey all.
I was messing around today and decided to post this. If not for the current lack of development, I probably wouldn't even post this.
Just push twframework-res.apk with adb, root explorer or root manager. be sure you overwrite the existing .apk.
The screenshot posted below was taken on the fly. you'll notice I'm using TEAM AERODKNG's Notification bar... Frankly, their theme is radness, but I thought maybe someone would want a little change!
word up, folks. happy MoDding.

go into framework folder and copy twframework-res.apk to a safe place on your sd card, in case you want to revert. With the file in the OP paste it into that directory, making sure you have w/r in root explorer or whatever you use.

Are you saying you have successfully done a full restore of a full nandroid backup?? If so that would be a big deal since I think that was the last issue with the cwm beta. Drhonk was saying he got a full restore to work at least without error but it hung on reboot.

@Ricky download file to your computer hook your phone up to the computer mount phone to computer (USB mass storage) right click file go down to send to and send it to the proper mass storage for your phone I have vista so that's how it works for me that should put the file on the root of your SD card open root explorer first go into system/framework go down to the twres apk long press it and select copy you will see paste at the bottom of your screen hit the back button twice go down to SD and put the copy in any sub folder you may want I use downloads then go down to the new file on your SD card from robbitt long press it hit move go back to system/framework in the upper right hand corner you will see a r/w press that then hit paste it will say it already exists do u want overwrite click yes back out then reboot should work with no problem.I think what u did was move the orig twres file instead of copying it hope this helps you.And thanks to robbitt love this mod sometimes its just the little things

[Q] "My files" in Humble?

Hi all.
I have Humble on my S. Droid Charge, thank you developer, and can not find "My files" app on it.
There's "Explorer", that appears to be looking like "my files" app, but it asks for an additional app to download, to open any folder.
Is that what I am supposed to use now? Just trying to delete some pics taken with phone camera, simply can't figure how to get to them.
Thank you

Sorry if this doesn't help, but I'm not at a computer right now.
Somewhere (either here or on rootz) there is an ee4 deodexed rom that is flashable in cwm. Download this, unzip it, and go to system/app. There you will find the apk of every stock app.

If I understood you correct, if I flash in CWM with that ROM, then "my files" app will be back?

Don't flash it, but put it on your computer and unzip it. Then go to the system folder in the extracted files, and go to the app folder inside that. Copy the myfiles.apk to your sdcard. Then on your phone use root explorer to put it in /system/app/

problem is, now picture opens, but menu for it disappears. well, it appears during picture load, but as soon as pic load is complete, there's nothing I can do to it, only zoom in and zoom out. neither pressing "menu" button or tapping anywhere on the black margins around pic produces a menu.

These are the steps you have to do if you want this work. Even though it is a zip file you do not flash it in cwm. Its not gonna work that way. You have to extract the files so you can get the apk file and others needed to do the steps above. You will also need a file explorer that allows you to get to the system files. I used es file explorer its free on the market. Follow the steps above and this will work..

Again thanks, but it didnt work. This seems to only happen with sys files. Anymore ideas? Maybe the HTCalbum.odex is needed?
I think I shot something out of my file system. Probably am going to reinstall.
I have no more ideas guess reinstall would be best option now.
