[Q] Use battery from Evo 4G in the Inspire 4G? - HTC Inspire 4G

I tried looking up my question, but with no luck. Sorry if this has been asked before.
I know that the HTC Evo 4G, Thunderbolt, and Inspire 4G are sister phones with some differences. I was wondering then if you could use the Evo's 1500 mAh battery in the Inspire.
Granted, it probably wouldn't have that big of a difference in battery life, and I am quite pleased with the battery life I get now, but I have been very curious about this.

Short answer is no. It will not fit.

I just went on ebay and got me 2 batteries and a charger for like 10 bucks 1600mah
I used these similar batteries in my captivate and they were very good. Gave me the same if not a bit better life then the stock

Yeah, I have an Evo and an Inspire. The battery will not fit.

Torn, please help

I previously had a Vibrant, and loved it. Unfortunately I had a pretty intense water accident with it (sat in a jacuzzi for 10 min before realizing it was in my pocket). I am eligible for an upgrade and am torn on phones. I have to get a phone by the 25th, so I can't wait for the Hercules, so I'm wondering, should I even bother with the SGS4G? Or should I look elsewhere at the Sensation or G2X?

Yes. I think you should "bother" with this phone
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
By bother, I mean is it worth it to get, its almost six months old and I know that its not running on much different hardware than the vibrant (which is one reason I'm so attracted to it) but I want a beast, not a puppy when it compares to other phones in good old performance. Haha I realize now that "bother" wasn't quite the right word. I guess the better phrase is, is it worth it to get over the other new powerhouses?

I don't know anything about the sensation but my wife had a g2x and that was one big ass soggy piece of crap. Nothing but problems came from that thing. Needless to say we swapped it out. As far as the sgs4g goes I love this phone and would never pick a g2x over it.

I would get the sensation in my opinion... Dual core processor.. Gingerbread out of the box, more pixel density, metal instead of plastic. The only thing that sucks is battery, but all phones suck on battery

My sister has the SGS4 and I used a sensation at the store but I have yet to find a g2x to mess with....
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
I played with the sensation at the store and I liked it alot but I couldnt tell a whole lot of difference. But hardware wise the sensation has the high ground and it has sense 3.0 which I like alot. I,love my sgs4g but I personally like the sensation more. If only the new sgs4gs had 2.3.4 and tw4.5 or something new then it would be a beast.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
G2x is a solid phone, if it didnt have all the issues it would probably top the sensation. I like the g2x, stock android and very very fast! Sensation is an excellent phone as well, reminded me too much of my nexus one though.
You can't really go wrong with either one (IF you get a good g2x without problems) slim chance it seems to be. Battery life on g2x wasnt great barely 6-8 hours or so, sensation is alittle better though. Galaxy s 4g is nice, no issues running kg4 and probably getting around 2 days plus on one charge.
May want to consider a nexus s as well if you are looking at this phone. Personally I would try to hold off for another month or so, new nexus may roll out, the sgs2 or whatever itll be called? If you must choose now, pick up a cheap galaxy s4g off craigslist.
Sgs4g is great but either the sensation or g2x is def a better choice. Better dev communities and better phones period.. dual core ftw. Hercules is a phone to end all phones though.. why can't u wait??
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
Not sure about G2x, but the SG4G is way better than Sensation 4G
Sensation got a good screen, but, the battery life sux. Also the call quality is not good as SG4G. Low ring ton volume is disappointing also. Audio quality (headphone) of SG4G (with voodoo) is 100 times better than Sensation.
Why not just get a phone like the Sensation on the 24th of this month and if the Hercules comes out before your 14 day return period then just swap it out for the Hercules.
But if you live in the wonderful state of California, then you get 30 days to swap it out.
You guys are all looking at software issues. Hardware wise, the other phones are newer...so of course the others will be faster, have more memory, etc. most, if not all, the issues will probably be addressed by the community. I have no complaints about this phone, but do your research on the development of the others.

Hercules has the qualcomm snapdragon dual core, when compared to the exynos on my sgs2, it feels like comparing a core i5 to a pentium dual core. But the screen size is a plus, but it will probably kill the battery really quickly.

Tough choice, while the sgs4g is a solid device, it is older hardware wise. On the other hand the g2x and sensation has a plethora of issues.

Well the reason I can't wait is because I added a line on the 26th and only got the sim. So I have until then to get a new phone at contract price. I don't know if they will let me buy it and still have the 30 days (I live in california). Otherwise maybe I will get the sensation and hold it til the herc comes.

Or you could just keep the Sensation. The Hercules is not that much of an upgrade anyways, unless you're dying for an AMOLED+ screen.
They have the same processor. Plus, if you're into modding, the Sensation is very close to a full working build of CM7. So you can only imagine how fast that will be. And it's a qHD screen while the Hercules is not.
I think I need to research the qHD screen. It didn't look very impressive to me, but I only used the phone for 2 minutes or so. The thing is, I LOVED the super AMOLED on the vibrant.

I just left the GS4G for the Sensation. The GS4G is ok, but it's middle of the road in terms of specs these days.

IMO the sensation really isn't anything special. The screen on it sucks and its not that fast for it being a dual core phone. I played with the epic touch gs2 yesterday....and now that's a phone to drool over. That right now is the only phone out that's worth an upgrade from the mt4g. Again this is just my opinion.

I've heard some bad things about the Sensation, but I think the sluggish speed is caused by the async Snapdragon that Qualcomm made. Both CPUs won't be on unless they're both needed and I'm guessing that doesn't work really good in Gingerbread, so perhaps on 1 core is active. When the Exynos or Tegra 2 the cores are both on all the time, so they should be faster, although they still clock up and down as normal. The screen in lacking, but it's no S/Amoled or IPS or Retina. HTC doesn't really produce nicer screens like the competition, they use S-LCD or LCD in their phones, not sure if they have any other tech ATM.
Well, I can agree on this. I've never been a fan of MyTouch models, but T-Mo forced me. I've been from a T-Mo G1 (Dream), to a T-Mo G2 (Desire Z), then to a samsung Galaxy S 4g and when it got stolen, the assurant would only leave me with a MyTouch 4g. Really can't compare the screen, but hey, I'm more than pleased. I'm quite impressed this phone doesn't have that much of a great feedback from T-Mo. :/ Oh well.
Yeah I've had a bunch, came from an epic and I have to say this phone is good stock. Unity is boss though. Omfg.
Edit: one other thing... This community is so chilled and friendly compared to the previous ones I have been a part of. Thank you people...

Totally happier with this one. SGS4G relied TOO MUCH on the screen~ and it was just annoying sometimes. I got used to physical buttons because of my last phones, so I felt like using an iPhone not an Android. And besides, the SGS4G's front facing camera was just sad.

Sorry was it hard for you to comprehend?
DhD = Desire HD (GSM)
TB = Thunderbolt (CDMA)
2GS = Second Generation Spandragon
So technically Inspire HD (GSM-US) is equivalent of Desire HD (GSM-EU). Since we real pro die hard SmartPhone user know HTC owns Moto and SamSUX, so that's another subject of its own.
Now the point I was making is as you being home user you yourself do not need or dual core mCPU yet. So MT4G is same spec as Thunderbolt (yes I'm aware of the screen and nand diff). Thus last of its kind not failed attempt to upgrade us to dual core when Android framework so far utilizing only cpu0 as cpu1 thread is most not used as OS and App is not using it yet.

Most likely, never had the chance to check. The phone got stolen a month after bought so I could barely play around with it. It's not usual of me to root a phone the same day I get it; I stay with root for a few days, and in this case, a month. Now with the MT4G, no way I was gonna stay with stock for a month, no way. |: hahaha.
Hi guys, I've move to the Sensation its nice and all,but mytouch4G seems better and faster to be honest I miss my mytouch4G its a great phone. I'm thinking of selling this Sensation and get HTC Amazed or SGII. But I love Sense but the speakers in HTC sux, gonna be a hard decision.

This is my first smartphone. Rooted and S off the first week. Been impressed eversince. My girl got a g2x it seems sluggish compared to mt4g. Battery life is much better also.

My thoughts exactly
I just want an HTC phone with build quality like the Inspire, HD resolution, dual core and a decent sized battery. I love the specs on the Galaxy Nexus but I will never buy another Samsung product.

New HTC Sensation Battery

I've had my HTC Sensation XE for a while now and I'm looking to buy a new battery for it as the stock one isn't exactly great. I was just wondering whether I should get an Anker 1900mAh battery or a Saner 1900mAh battery. I've heard they're both good but just wanted to know if there was any big stand out points between the two.

Just one last thing, the Saner says "The battery has an integrated microchip, Over-charge/discharge protection, over-current protection" whereas on the Anker it says "Built-in protection circuit to assure safety under all circumstances."
Is there any difference between the two of them?
I currently use my 1900 Anker battery and the performance has been amazing. I am currently running shnizlon's sense 4 rom and most of the times I can easily get through a day to a day and a half with moderate use. I normally have the screen set to it's lowest brightness level and 2g on instead of 3g/4g. I noticed this helps battery performance greatly. I highly recommend it.

+1 for Anker. Bought my Sensation from marketplace and have been using the Anker in it since day one. No problems with overheating and battery life is excellent. Gets me through an entire day no problem.
If you are concerned about the temp sensors, there are HTC batteries for other devices that will fit. I believe the EVO 3D battery works and is in the range of 1700mah. Take a look at this thread for a real good discussion:
