[Q] Help Please

Hello to all who may be able to help, and thanks in advance. I am kinda new to android, and tried some things i should have researched more, so please no reprimands, i already kinda feel like a dumbass for it. I have a moto droid 2. I rooted using the Z4 root in the app market. I then installed system app remover, also from market. I was not planning on flashing new roms, just getting rid of bloat and maybe replacing some of the original apps with market stuff that in my opinion is better. I realized that the app remover i was using did not seem to show all the system apps. I downloaded titanium backup and gave it a whirl. I removed some of the stock apps, and when i did not like the result tried to reinstall them only to find out that titanium backup only backs up the data, not the app itself(System app remover does, and beeing a noob, i assumed that titanium would be the same). So now i am sitting here with a rooted droid 2, with a complete titanium backup, that still works(minus the apps i uninstalled), and i was wondering if anyone could advise me on how to get some of the factory apps back, and maybe also advise me on better ways to accomplish what i am doing. Again Thanks in advance and sorry to take your time with noob stuff. I did not know where else to turn, the people on this forum seem to be the Samurai-Ninja-Gurus of andriod.
Please anyone, i really need some help.

[Q] How to remove bloatware on unrooted inspire

Hey. I did a search and didn't find an answer to this question. I just got my Inspire last week and am still working up the courage to root it since it is my only phone, and I don't want to brick it.
So in the meantime, how do I uninstall apps that I don't want/ need that are on the phone? Things like blockbuster and friendstream, and stocks? The phone wont let you uninstall them in application manager, and I tried creating a folder to move them out of the /system/app folder so they wouldn't run on restart, but it won't let you move them either. And, of course, since it isn't rooted yet, Titanium backup won't work either.
Is there a way to get rid of these apps that I don't want that are stock on the phone?
Thanks!

Thats why we root, my friend. Grab the hack kit and jump in. There are stock Roms that are rooted and already have the bloat removed. And then you can try some other Roms... lots of good stuff out there.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA Premium App
Running the GB Stock ROM with BW removed. Works great!!!

[Q]Freezing Apps - RAZR

Hi Guys,
Sorry I already know this is a ridiculously dumb question. What the heck is freezing apps, and how do I do it using TiBu? I just transitioned from a Thunderbolt.. with my TB I would use root explorer and rename the apps I dont want to see .old. Is that the same as freezing them? I dont want to delete so I can get OTA updates, but I also dont want to have a bunch of bloatware. Any help would be appreciated.. sorry for the dumb question.
Pike
no this wont work just try titanium backup and freeze em
Wow.. 83 views and one answer..
Anyway I found the answer I was looking for...
"To freeze apps you have to use the Donate version of TiBu, once you donate go to the app list, tap the app you want to remove and click on Freeze"
Now that we have fastboot files, does anyone know which apps we can remove without any conflicts? Once any new updates are pushed out, we can always flash back to factory to receive them.

Just rooted, and installed cm7 where did swype go?

im sorry nobody likes being a newb but i did really try to find a answer to my question in the forum.
I just installed cm7 and i just have the generic android not the swype keyboard. Is there a way to get it back or no?
Also i bought titanium pro root key and unlocked titanium before modding to cm7. However after restoring the pro key i cant get the titanium free version to get fully unlocked. It said on their site to reinstall the app which i did. or move the titanium pro key into internal memory, which i hope it is.
hopefully someone can help me thanks again

Go to Swype's website and download the newest beta.
Swype was something Samsung added in, so any CM ROM won't have it. Most just go to swype's website and sign up for beta. Others like myself have gone to the play store for an alternative.
As for Tibu, you might have to uninstall and install both parts. Doing so won't mess up your backups because they are stored outside the app. Just make sure you know where it is keeping them now, so you can tell the new install where to look (tho it should be able to find the backup on its own).
-xda app, too lazy for something interesting to say-
thank you helped a bunch!:cyclops:

alternatively you could try flashing a ROM which includes swype by default such as darkyROM / allianceROM... although they may be a bit difficult to flash for beginners

[Q] help

I have a sgh-t869 rooted with super user and I am trying to get rid of all the factory tmobil crap apps they put on it is there a safe way to no what are operating systems and what are apps I can trash. Another question is what is the best rom to use for best preformance.
Thanks for any info
you can use Root Toolbox on market if you know the name of the apk this will create a backup to reinstall it later
***EDIT***
sometime you need to do it 2 time to be sure the app is uninstalled!
To get rid of all that stuff: just make a backup of your bloatware loaded stock rom cia cwm. Afterwards, download Paranoid Android from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32915499
Follow instructions and be happy! =p
Iam running this for a couple of weeks now, its almost perfect!
Have fun!
