Download issues - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hey all, first time posting but I have an issue with my data ever since I rooted my g2x. Actually data and speed works fine, but when I get to downloading a file, like a podcast from the webpage it says download unsuccessful everytime. I am able to download a podcast via wifi connections though. So I don't know folks. Can anyone help?

I had the same problem but now sorted. Type in google the problem and you will get an answer. I think you have to clear google talk or google mail storage in applications, then manage applications all in settings. Hope this helps.

It's rooted with 023, using instructing from this site.
I have the same problem can't download in market after i used titanium app to uninstall some google stuff from my phone. Rooted last night btw thanks everyone for their help.
You have to reinstall gtalkservice.apk and Talk.apk. Follow this thread for instruction

Really, but how does gtalk & talk relate to marketplace downloading/networking issues? Just wondering.

All of the Google related software is integrated into your account which in turn is how you purchase/use the market.
As for your issue, have you made sure your APN settings are correct since rooting your device? Make sure you've done that. As well, check the original root thread for a market fix in case that's your issue as well.
Edit: I just saw you're using Rogers. Make sure you use the x10a fix for the market. Also note that when I applied the fix, it took over 24 hours and clearing the cache several times before it started working properly. I really strongly recommend you check your APN as well though. Rooting/debranding the x10a from the Rogers network clears out the APN settings and most have had to put them in manually.

I don't know....I just know that I couldn't download anymore from the market and the reinstall of those 2 .apk fixed the issue.
weird...

I faced it once long back .. but after that I rooted my phone for almost 3 or 4 times changing the firmwares and then the problem just disappeared.
Yea, APN setting entered correctly. I might just remove them and enter them again through. Thx for all the suggestions folks.

I since narrowed it down to my wifi connection, because it never seems to happen while on 3G. Could be something to do with my router settings. I'll try a static IP again, but I don't think that will help much.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Torrent App

Hello,
Wondering if there is a good torrent app out there. Tried aBTC, but I dislike it, only one torrent at a time, and never finishes
. I'm not looking for one with remote.or anything just an app so I can download torrents directly to my phone.
Sent from my X10a using Tapatalk
I purchase dTor but error for validation, don't buy it.
And there is another torrent app but it's not on the market. It's name is AndTorrent.
You can find it in google code or blapk markek.
But don't instal on 1.6

I bought Swarm from the market. I uploaded a pic of a finished download.
Dont judge me, I've already paid to watch the movie ):

Do you get decent speeds?
Sent from my X10a using Tapatalk
You should check out Transdroid and Torrent-fu, both free. I haven't tried them yet but they are supposed to be the best on the market.

Eh. It's okay. Max was 150 which is the most of my connection anyway.

Hey guys. I use torrent_fu works great. Its a manager for your pc at home. So right now I can see how my torrents are going and search for new ones and download. A little config is needed at the start however is worth it. As 4 downloading on your phone I don't think one exists, bandwidth etc... but eventually it'll be good enough

Is the swarm apk floating around anywhere? I would like to try it before paying for it. Anyone got a backup the can upload?

i would be intersted in trying this program if ne 1 has a version for o/s 1.6
I use torrent-fu too.
Brilliant program. Had to do some tinkering on u-torrent at home, but once you have this is ideal.
I setup a webserver and dynamic DNS on my home PC so I didn't have to change the IP address in the app, you can use a webserver and portnumber instead (one setup, then sorted)
Now I can check my downloads from everywhere
(only legal torrents, of course)
I bought Dtor and works like a charm for me.
Sent from my rooted X10a using Tapatalk
BEST ONE FOR DIRECT DOWNLOAD TO PHONE IS "SWARM"
torrent fu only can manage your utorrent or some else on your pc or notebook...
I got Transdroid from here: http://www.callingallgeeks.org/3-free-and-user-friendly-torrent-clients-for-android/
transdroid is prob best easy to use but sum reason all i tried only seem to work when i am connected on wifi?

[Resolved] Web browsing question on flashed ROM?

I noticed that live video streaming doesn't work like on the stock rom or maybe its just my phone. All that happens is it will go to the page but not show the live streaming window, its just blank. I flashed back to the froyo stock rooted ROM and it works fine, can anyone explain why? Thanks!

Did you check your network settings and wifi on the stock.
Yes, the same options were checked off in new ROM as well. So I don't know what caused it to happen. Tango, Qik, and all that works fine. It's only when I go to a web site streaming live video.

Media hub error

I redeemed the $25 code and bought two movies but when I click download it will just hang and then says download error retrying.... anyone have the same issue?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
Doing this from wifi? Cause you can only download from wifi.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
yes im connected to my wifi.
And restarting the phone doesn't help? Or using task manager to close media hub.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
Probably have to do like on the Cappy, need astro file manager go to settings and check the box next to allow download from web browser or something like that...
Sent from my Infuse 4G using XDA Premium
I had the same thing happen to me and i just hit the pause button and then resumed it and kept doing that until i saw it actually start the download.
use the help
I selected help in the app and it said due to some restrictions, some of the movies are not available all the time, (they said it smoother than that), I tried again the next day and they downloaded.
so just wait and try again and it will work.

Opera always works for me.
Think you have to press download, then "try again" and download and it should work.
What he's saying is that it loads a blank page no button to press I'm having the same problem on stock 2.3.4

I noticed this yesterday as well.
I think the problem is that mediafire doesn't like the android user agent anymore.
If your browser supports it, change your user agent to desktop and refresh the page. You'll be able to download after that.
The browser I used was Boat Browser btw. You guys should check it out

There's a downloader app in the market place that's supposed to help alleviate this issue as well as downloading of large files or files that tend to fail. Sadly I don't remember what it's called.
