Potential GB roms? - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

So now that we have 4 (?) GB leaks floating around, are there any devs that are working on GB roms? I love ICBINB but i really want to get my hands on a GB rom. I know that CWM is still an iszue buf are any devs that are preparing for it by making roms? And also, is there anythinv that we, the SGS4G xda community can do to further the cause?

WOW!
DAMN, good news but i just friggen flashed Audiophile Redux like 5 minutes ago! If it's worth it, i'm willing to flash that over this. PLUS, any clue if it's CWM or ODIN? Because i do not know crap about ODIN. Hope for the best. thanks for the update.
I dont know, i tweeted and asked. I'll update when i know more. And i flashed redux last night too

So much going on its hard to keep up. Every time i come back its something new. This Rocks. Looking forward to some sweet roms.
Note: No offense meant/implied to roms currently out.
Spreading the sgs4g love. May the dev's "live long and prosper."
This is pretty exciting news indeed! I'll probably continue using what I have for a while before I really check this out though.

[Q] Where's the best GB rom?

with all the gingerbread roms floating around, who has the best rom with little to no problems?
I have KG4 and its great i love it, odin easy to use imo and its quick.
KH2 would definitely have the least problems, since it's the most revised version of all of our GB ROMs. However, NONE of them are easy to get fully working. Froyo ROMs are child's play to flash compared to GB ROMs.
Desxton kh2 icbinb..gives that stock GB look but with all the mods includes..thus being the complete package..also you can go to theme section and add the feeling blue theme adding overscroll amd accurate battery mod

audiophile - sorry shameless plug

sorry im a noob, im guessing its very hard
No...but I've already ported 5 i9000 Rome and captivate Roms...and bigfau has about the same if not more...look in the superthread...you will see them...and yes...porting is no picnic
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
You can choose any of them besides cm7 or miui and flash hellraiser directly after if I'm not mistaken
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda premium
nothing hard about porting if you have the information but I'm sure it was no picnic for Linux bozo the first time. also if you want to run other roms not already ported then use the hellraiser mod and follow the flash instructions to the letter.
also why just i9000/ captivate roms. the vibrant has many good roms and I'm sure the sgs4g roms can also work considering we have even more in common with that phone than the regular galaxy s.
Actually it IS hard if you have never done it...that was my point.....it took me forever to get.my first port to boot...but when it does its like riding a bike after that....but anyway...just take your time and study....in non technical terms...open hellraiser and you'll see everything you need....SMDH!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
I didn't mean it as a rebuttal to your post. its all relative. hard/not hard its all a matter of opinion and yeah I've banged my head over stuff that should be stupid easy. and porting the rom is not stupid easy so yeah it can be a headache.
for me app modding is hard, driver writing issues impossible, for my brother its all easy as long as he has documentation. he could easily run with the best xda devs if he had the interest, but he doesn't care much for phones.
for me interpreting blueprints and machining and programming cnc machines and welding aren't hard but to someone else what I do can look intimidating yet I can train anyone with some sense how to do any of those things in a short time.
but back to the op, if you are interested in releasing a rom port break everything down, see what goes into a cwm update package, then break down hellraiser but realize some of the tricks in that update script aren't needed for a onetime flash, there is a shell script that mods the build.prop, you can more easily pre mod the build.prop according to what that script would do and build it into the rom. but if you are just interested in the a certain rom for yourself then you can flash any gb rom for a GSM galaxy s and flash hellraiser back to back. do not reboot before you flash hellraiser that would be bad!

[Q] Best mtd ROM?

Which one do you guys think is the best? I was on erikmm's mokeeOS, but I messed up my IMEI so I had to flash back to stock. So now I'm starting fresh, and I wanna know which ROM is overall stable, has good battery life, and has good performance.
Barebones rom ans antonX's kernel with lz seems to be working really well for me...

Give mokee another shot. It's got a lot of nice features and battery drain is only slightly faster than VB-FB that I was on before. Not much overhead either...

Right now in trying Louis revenge, which I have to say, I'm loving it Erik, I even have a working O'Neil. But the only problem is that I cant push anything without getting filenotfound exception, permission denied error

I'm on revenge and its nice..... but you know its the same old miui
I really like the look of ligux but I'm going to do a clean wipe beforehand and ill let you know how it goes.
Also I'm waiting for the next cm update and I'm going to go to that and test out some themes I've been working on
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
mokee is less miui or iOS looking. There are a couple themes I uploaded to mediafire that I got from the chinese site that are designed for that rom.

Hey, Can I join the fun? (on topic) ...Best MTD rom huh ...CM7.2 RC1 lol =] (cause it's the base for most of other MTD roms :-") and most gorgeous huh miui revenge of course lol (or Mokee is ok but not as smooth as miui )

Why are there many style rom CM9

Why are there no jobs for MIUI rom ...?
wut
There's plenty of miui roms...miui seems a bit old school (concidering i had miui running on my vibrant before this phone was in production)now with ics and cm9 fresh out of the box....lol can't make everyone happy :-/
I think the question here is....when are you gonna work on and or port some miui roms for us since you feel so incline to say there's not enough work being done.
Carl
We have a bunch of miui roms just look in the dev section
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
Stop Carling everyone!
Just kidding...
In dev section we actually have more MIUI ROMs than CM ROMs...

Haha! I had actually turned signature off but when I flashed again TB remembered my old settings for xda app.
