Hi, this should be in the Android Development Forum but I don´t have permissions...
FRX07 is a fantastic release... Congratulations! Almost it´s a "final" version.
Using:
RAPH100
Full FRX07 bundle
Changes I did in Android:
- Disable autobright feature (avoids screen always on)
- No animations, no vibrations (battery saver)
- Language: Spanish
These are the errors I found (a lot of them already reported):
- Auto brightness not working
- Bad mapping FN Keys, Press Caps turns On Fn key, special keys not working...
- The keyboard lights will come on (lights goes off in a few seconds) if you swipe a finger over the Navigation Control even if the keyboard is closed.
- Flash Light not working
- Navigation Control (ring) always flashing -> Battery drainer?.
- Battery problems: 8 hours maximum with SetCpu, JuiceDefender, no animations, no vibrations... -> Panel collapse problem
- Speaker phone is not working
- Can´t access the SD File system while connected to the PC (D: appears but no data).
Not fully tested:
- GPS (slow)
- Bluetooth (can´t transfer a file from Samsumg Galaxy 2)
Everything else is working and it´s almost a productive version.
Thanks again
Hey i use FRX07 on RAPH100 too.
(FRX07_Full_Bundle_20110715.zip)
i have similar problems
Changes I did in Android:
- in Startup: physkeyboard=german_raph100
- Auto brightness not working
- Bad mapping, Press Caps turns caps led is on but no function. (FN Keys work)
- The keyboard lights will come on (lights goes off in a few seconds) if you swipe a finger over the Navigation Control even if the keyboard is closed.
- Flash Light not working
- Navigation Control (ring) always flashing -> Battery drainer?>> when gps is off
- Can´t access the SD File system while connected to the PC (D: appears but no data).
- Bluetooth (can´t transfer a file from or to PC) / (no audio forwarding)
-WiFi not work
[email protected], the list is mostly identical.
But in my case, Wifi is working. Check your settings...
With physkeyboard=raphfix the FN Buttons are working now but the Caps button turn on the FN indicator and no Uppercase letters. Thanks to bobzero for be my "voice" in the developer section.
Really, they are minor bugs primarily. I´m only worried about the battery nightmare. Today I almost get 10 hours but it´s not enough to be a productive version. As said here the problem is "the display is not being shutdown when in sleep. So it's still sucking power even when the phone is sleeping".
now i update from: xdandroid[dot]com/wiki/Main_Page
Latest kernel: 20110718_223029
Latest rootfs: 20110727-358bc80
same problems like before and more
- no cell phone network after start for about 3 minutes,
manual network search -> error while searching network.
- now my battery work only about 6-8 hours
(without: BT, WiFi, GPS and Data transfer) only 2g network is on.
sorry I've expressed myself wrong.
because I'm on holiday i can only check Wifi Tethering
1. Data access over mobile network enable
2. WiFi turn on
3. Portable WiFi hotspot turn on -> ERROR
after this i can't turn WiFi on it always said error.

TekComm v.1.00.002
Hi guys a new version of the plugin. Of course its free.
Release notes:
-added toggle for phone connection (pre-last button)
-added status display for favourite SSID (last button)
-if AP is present but the device is attached to another AP (Access Point) you can attach to your favourite by pressing the last button
-one hand navigation enabled for better access
-first button (icon) displays a small configuration window where you can input the phone connection and favourite SSID (you need to tap ok in the top right corner for the changes to take effect)
Known issues:
- phone connection and favourite SSID are not always restored after soft reset or enable/disable plugin
- HTC Wizard/Prophet/BlueAngel don't respond first time to wifi turn on (driver issue) so you have to turn it on first time or after soft reset
Enjoy!

I have an O2 Orbit.
When on battery it turns itself off after 1 minute to save power.
Sometimes I want it to stay on for a while when I am downloading a big email attachment over wifi. Otherwise the Orbit suspends and turns off the wifi, so no more download.
The only way I can make it stay on to go
Settings -> System -> Power -> Advanced then untick the "Turn off device if not used for" box under On battery power.
I then have to turn it on again when the download is done.
Is there an app out there that I can configure to toggle this power setting on and off with fewer clicks?
I've had a good search and a google, but all the apps are about restarting or shutting down the device.
I can't be the only person to have this desire?
Thanks,
Simon
I created small program - BatsToggle - for this problem.
When you start it enable/disable battery sleep, you will be prompted.
It's only 4KB and coded in eVC4 ;]
Brilliant, thats just what I needed.
Thanks!
Hello,
since yesterday my Photon Q has a strange issue: When I open the hardware keyboard, the touchscreen doesn't work anymore, even if I close the slider again. I have found two ways to make it work again:
1. Reboot with closed slider
2. When the touchscreen is inresponsive, do the following procedure: Close the slider -> switch off the phone using power button -> open the slider (phone wakes up) -> close the slider -> switch off the phone -> switch on again
... then the touchscreen works again until next time opening the slider.
I'm on stock rom Android 4.1.2. Anybody has a idea to solve the problem?
.:atomphil:.
Sounds like the ribbon cable that connects the screen is loose.
This is almost certainly a hardware issue - even if you weren't on the stock ROM I'd say the same thing.
Nexus / Play Edition Devices - Keyguard => Home Button and Top of Screen Unresponsive
When I installed 5.1.1 on my Nexus 7 mounted in my car, I noticed a weird bug with Car Mode Control being activated - the home button would freeze up the screen, locking it on an all black screen, and the status bar along with another 10% from the top of the screen was unresponsive to touch. Now, I know there are issues with Nexus devices running Car Mode apps, but without reinventing the wheel (or at least having to code a ton more stuff into Tasker), it's the easiest way for me to send up accompanying things, like Car Home Ultra and activating tethering, etc.
But this is just obnoxious. I can barely get the search bar to work on Google Maps, I have to hit just the very bottom of the bar to get it to open up the recent searches and allow me to type, and most 3-dot menus cannot be hit anymore. When I got my Moto X Pure, I noticed the same thing was happening, so it wasn't A) the Nexus 7, B) Car Home Ultra, C) at one point I even considered it was Nova Launcher, but rather D) just being in Car Mode. The MXPE comes out of this state easily enough with doing a screen off and back on, but the N7 does not - I either have to disable wifi tethering which disables car mode on the N7 via a Tasker task, or restart it in some extreme cases. I have Car Home Ultra on my N7 but not my MXPE, so the suggestion that it has something to do with a bug in the home button override of Car Home Ultra doesn't hold water, unfortunately (thought of that as the culprit already too).
I think this may be a "safety feature" of Nexus / PE devices that if car mode is activated, you can touch certain things and go back home, but if I can't pull down the status bar, I can't set car mode off unless I turn off my car, which kills Bluetooth and my Tasker task to keep my phone in car mode when connected to the car's BT. NOT ideal for someone who drives 1,000+ miles per week for work and needs to check and send emails while I'm stopped waiting for my next assignment to start (insurance related career). I find it even more absurd that not only is the status bar blocked from access, but all apps just below that as well, including the search bar on Google Maps as I said already. How am I even supposed to search for the next destination without being able to access that bar easily?
===========================
TD;LR - Nexus and Play Edition devices don't like Car Mode being forced on them through apps that turn on car mode, it makes them unresponsive to certain parts of the screen and doesn't allow the home button to work, is there any way to enable car mode without having to build a Tasker task that does what car mode does for me?
===========================
EDIT - Figured it out.... I had Tasker setting Keyguard Off instead of using Secure Settings to clear password when connected to the car's Bluetooth as detailed here. I've read previously that setting the keyguard off has had adverse reactions inside Android, but I didn't connect the dots here, these are the issues that occur when you set keyguard off! So yes, using Secure Settings to clear password works much better and doesn't produce these crazy bugs.
I've recently started experimenting with 'Find My Device' - it seems to work well, my only issue is that after the smartphone has been left in 'standby' mode for some hours then it can't be found using Find My Device in windows, I need to briefly press the power button to wake it up. However, if I leave the phone for two or three hours a day and it goes to sleep for a while then no problem, Find My Device still works.
Is there some kind of timeout which prevents the GPS and networking from working after a set period of time ? I've checked the settings but not found anything.
The Smartphone is a Motorola G5S
Disable "find my device" and "gps" apps battery optimization also on wifi setting disable "turn off wifi auto after inactivity" also on apps killer add both app on white list so even if you close all running app they remain on background .. i use that setting to mine bitcoin on my phone
