Best belt holster or case? - T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide

I don't know how you people keep your phone in your pocket all day...
Sent from my A500 using XDA Premium App

I had the otterbox on the MT4G and plan and getting it for my MT4GS when available! It's not that bad!

Surprisingly, the same leather holster case I used for my Touch Pro 2 works fine with this one. There was only one 4G slide branded case at the store, a gel skin in hot pink, so I ended up browsing the Universal area. The smaller T-Mobile Universal holster didn't fit, but the larger one that normally would fit the Dash and Touch Pro 2 worked just fine. So I ended up not buying another and going home and using the one I've had for years.

Leather HTC Evo case from Sprint... I've used it for an Evo, Optimus, SGS4G, G2X, and MT4GS.

When I was in the T-mobile store buying the phone, There was a leather belt case for the Mytouch4G right there, we popped it open and tried it out.
Fits nice and snug, I put it in so the camera lens is at the bottom. It exposes the usb charging socket at the top of the case, so I can plug it in while it's on my hip.
I read about the camera lens getting scratched and didn't want to ave it exposed. I could go for a better case, but this one will do the trick until something made for it specifically comes out.
T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Leather sleeve w/ clip (is what the package says)

OtterBox people say they don't know when it's coming. And so I wait....

I've been sketchy about magnetic cases since my cliq's touchscreen messed up and was replaced four times. My last cliq lasted till I got the mytouch 4g slide (about 9 months).
Not only that, I'm scared of my phone being out of my pocket while I'm riding my bike. My G1 fell out of my case on the freeway lol.

I got this belt holster here and I love it. It comes with a case that protects the phone and it's quick releasing.
I use this one with a case-mate yough case , it is excellent , very durable, and uses velcro instead of magnets. it has a hook on the clast to protect from flying off your belt. it rotates but dosnt free wheel on the axle, so you can position it without it sliding back out of position. and contains a credit card slot which i inserted a lead sheet from the dentist office as a radiation shield. it also has a back panel for inserting a microfibre cloth.
its about as badass as you can get.
the tough case is on case-mate.com and heres the link to the holster.

Flip Case for HTC Desire??

In the search of a nice pouch-case with a belt clip for my Desire, I see most of the nice leather cases are Flip Style.
So I wounder (since I lack of imagination) how does this type of case work in the every day use.
Do you have to flip and fold the front panel to answer a call? Does it botter having it on your ear? I really like the Piel Frama, but it just dosen´t look practicle.
I really would apreciate any input. Thanks.
I am using Noreve. The case looks good and fit Desire perfectly.
Thanks Angler, those cases really look nice. So my question is, isn´t that flip, hanging down when open and answering calls, unconfortable???
How about a "slide case", such as this one?

You just pull the tab and out comes the phone, so no dangling flap. I've got one, it's surprisingly snug yet easy to use.
Obviously your phone will not be protected for the duration of the phone, but it is better protection when the phone is not being used - which is when these things crash into pavements anyway.
That's the one I'm using right now, HTC optional pouch... got it from expansys.
Yeap I was looking at that one too, but I missed the belt clip. My last phone was a HTC Kaiser witch came with a Pouch case for the belt.
But I supose, to keep thins good looking and simple, I will go with that one or maybe with this one

Yes, the case cover can be flipped to the back when answer call without problem because of the soft leather "hing" between the cover and the perfect-fit phone leather resin. You can also place the case vertically or horizontally with the belt clip.
Hi Angler,
thank you for pointing me out to Noreve. I got this pouch with a extra heavy duty clip. Its really great, even more I expected. So thank you very much.

[Q] Mobi Products Crystal Case

Thinking of getting this case for my G2. Has anyone tried it out. If so, how is it (snug fit, any problems opening and closing phone)? thanks.
So I decided to get the Mobi Case. I had the original T-mobile gel case, I gotta say I like this one much better. I had problems with my G2 opening really easily with the gel case and problem solved.
here's a few pics

I thought about getting this case but I wasn't sure. Does it fit snug? For some reason I was worried about it scratching any of the soft parts. I really love the way the g2 looks naked (haha). How much was it and where did you get it from?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 with Virtuous Sense.
I have to agree with you I also like to see my G2 bare some skin, hell that's one of the main reasons I bought this phone. The case is quite snug on the phone. I didn't have a problem with it scratching either. But after a day of use, I have noticed some scuffs on the body part of the case (from setting it down). I got it with tax, shipping and 10% off for $17.60 @ the Android Central Store.

Cheapest i've found.
Its a decent case...more protective then it looks, I've had it for a few months now

I appreicate the feed back. I almost went with htc's version of the clear case but it doesn't cover the trackpad area like this one. I think ill go for it. I have the hard rubberized T-Mobile version which I think is awesome for the protection, and the price. (17.99 I think). Also, with any clear case there are going to have those scuffs regardless. Im still waiting on otterbox to make a case. I figured they would considering they made one for the mytouch slide Thanks though!

I love the looks of it but... don't you lose the grippyness (if thats even a word, lol) with that case opposed to the popular OEM gel skin?
I dont feel like you lose grip at all. Waiting for my new one to come in.
Sent From My HTC Vision and XDA App
There is still some grippiness but not as much as with a rubberized case. Its still a decent amount though.

UPDATE: Well after about 8 months of only using this case, one of the clips that hold the case on (on the battery end) has broken off. I guess that's expected after taking it on and off who knows how many times. I gotta say, I definitely got my $17 out of this case and will probably buy another one just like it to replace this one.

OEM HTC Hard Shell Cases for under $10

I was looking for the HTC metallic cases online, and found them on many sites for $19.95, which I didn't want to pay after seeing some posts on here saying the clips wore down. I found them on htcpedia.com for $8.99 for metallic, and $9.99 for the clear and black ones.
Links:

http://shop.htcpedia.com/htc-hard-shell-cases-1.html
I've never purchased from them but you can use Paypal and there are customer reviews on the products so I gave it a shot. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else was interested!
What do you mean by metallic? are they metal or metal apearance with a plastic build..
That's just what HTC calls them, I don't know. Look at the pics?
Does metallic mean they're like my case? Mine looks plastic but the inside of it is metal, something about the signal, I don't know for sure.
Hmmm, if someone does decide to order, would like to hear a review on the quality.

Search this forum. There previous posts about it. Also a user from here made a YouTube video about the black one. Just search for it on there.
Also ime metallic refers to color and not material.
Here, I got the links for you.
Metallic: http://www.youtube.com/user/wirelessground#p/search/18/UQObS6fsY6Q
Black/clear: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTpyMfm_WHM & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nR-OS12ileM&feature=related
I have the clear case. Bought it at my local T-Mobile store for $9.99. It has a very snug fit but looks amazing as it lets the sexinesss of the G2 show. The case has the stand which allows the phone to sit up on its own in landscape or portrait. Be careful pulling case off the back of the phone. Very tight and if not careful will scratch phone.

I think you're mistaken - these HTC cases don't have kickstands. I think Body Glove or someone made that one.
Anyway, just a quick review - my case got here in 2 days with Fed Ex (NY to IL), I'd definitely buy from that website again. The case made the phone seem bulky at first but after the first day I was used to it, and it doesn't seem odd at all anymore. I like the finish a lot. I would recommend these cases, especially since they're made by HTC and that gives them the best fit possible.

They are great, but they really get in the way when typing on the top row of keys.
Nonsense!

Ballistics SG! It was just a tad too much for me when I had it, but the case felt really really nice.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
I want to suggest ballistic SG as well. You can grab one from Amazon for less than $20 and yet its very durable and effective. I dropped mine several times and the phone is still in pristine condition. Make sure you also grab a screen protector.
Not sure if you can get it, but I personally swear by Otterbox. Had it on my other phones and provided great protection. I don't think you're one to care about bulk, so I'd suggest the Otterbox. Plus, they have lifetime warranty on their cases; so if your case gets destroyed or the rubber flaps start to rip off, call them up and they'll ship you a brand new one for free.
I personally feel About Turning Leather Protective Sleeve, comprehensive protection outside dust, scratches can be very good to protect your phone is a good choice!! :fingers-crossed:

Throwing in another vote for the Otterbox, you can even find them on eBay for cheaper than retail.
Seidio Convert.
