App freezer - HTC Inspire 4G

Is the app freeze for $.99 really worth it?

Personnaly I would pay for titanium backup pro instead and use the freezing feature in that.

It claims it can freeze what titanium cant.

I have had no problems with titanium, possibly false advertising.

I use bloat freezer and love it. There has been a couple of issues I encountered when using Titanium backup, but that was due to me deleting necessary files. I couldn't try the freeze option because I have to charge my apps to my AtNT bill, and foreign currency and intellectual property aren't billable. However, the freeze feature in Bloat Freezer which didn't work with MyBackup Pro and other Apps, works flawlessy, and is much safer than deleting system files. For the record, I have also had substantially better results with MyBackup Pro vs. Titanium Free.
How I would love to have T.B. Pro and get a true comparison...

That's for your opinions guys. Think I'm going to get it.

[Q] How to get apps and data from Captivate?

I'm getting ready to change to an Inspire from a captivate, and I was wondering how to get my apps and their data to the Inspire. Is TiBu viable once rooted with sideloading or what?
Titanium backup should work if you are rooted. That's what I plan on using when I switch phones again.

[Q] Force app to link to Market?

Is there any way to force an app to make a link to its page on the Android Market? Just wondering. A free way would be preferable.

With Titanium backup... long tap on the app for unlink.
If you want link the app in the market then you can choice "Market doctor".

Do you mean in code?
This is the link to your app i think market://details?id=*
replace the * with your app. e.g., mine would be market://details?id=com.TEST.android.lvh
No I mean like forcing the app to show up in the My Apps list in the Market app. So no free method huh. Well I've been meaning I get Titanium Backup Pro for quite a while now...

Remove stock apps

Srry If This Is The Wrong Section ..... But I Just Wanted To Inform Ppl That Titanium Backup's Uninstall Feature Works On The At&t Apps And Bloatware

Yes and if you remove tethering manager apk suddenly wifi hotspot is active and works flawless
Only disadvantage uninstalling them as to rather freezing the apps is no more OTA update from at&t and Samsung.
Who relies on at&t or samsung for updates?

People like me who are too afraid to mess with it manually lol.

I concur. I highly recommend freezing rather than uninstalling. These "bloatware" apps take up very little space. Out of sight - out of mind.
How does one freeze these apps
Sorry if this is a stupid question but how do I freeze these apps?
Titanium backup FTW!

Titanium backup

I have titanium backup and I'm planning to do a reset, but will all my game data (in gun bros) be saved or only that apk? Any program that can do that?

from my HTC HD2 using XDA. Premium App
Yes titanium backup backs up apk as well as data
Do i need the paid version for that?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
the free version backs everything up. I think the paid version gives you some extra options, like backup to dropbox and automates restores without intervention. definitely recommended to pay for it. Its the one app that you will use consistently when flashing roms
Thanks alot

Backup App of Choice

So I've been using Titanium backup for as long as I can remember, but I've been reading about Koush's Carbon Backup and am curious of any of you have experience with it and if you recommend it over TiBu. I have the free version and love the UI but am hesitant to pull the trigger on the premium. Your thoughts?

Love the wu- tang avatar.
Titanium here but carbon looks good. No root too, I bet a ton more people will use it. Koush is a good and very smart dev.
Here's a funny little story about him.

There is also super backup and clean master.
Does anything offer flashable zip like Titanium Backup?
AW: Backup App of Choice
Never had and issues with Titanium. Does a perfect job. The batch function is worth the little money to invest for the pro version
