Has anyone gotten an alternative cam app to record in other formats in HD? The 3gp format doesn't work for DLNA streaming and I tried a market app that is supposed to record in other formats like mp4 but it wouldn't function at all on the Sensation. Read elsewhere that someone got another app to record but the quality was poor.
Thx in advance for any info
This is something I have been struggling with myself! Desperate for answers too. It's funny how it streams videos from Facebook and YouTube to my Samsung tv but not the ones the phone actually captures itself!

Can't we commission some great devs here to program one for us?

I have a TV Samsung Series 6. When I had the HTC Desire HD worked properly the Froyo 2.2 Video Streaming DLNA. When I upgrade I made a Gingerbread 2.3 message that ''the format is not supported''.
I understand that it changed something in the codec 3gp format so not to support the TV
The same problem I have with the Sensation is sad you can not do streaming DLNA your favorite Video

Find an app that supports recording in another format. There are a few apps that will record and save in different formats. Mind you the stock video player doesnt play all formats
I've tried to play my video captured from Htc Sensation but the player unable to play the file format..As htc advertised, just take a video and watch on the big screen (Hd TV or any device with same internet connection)..Is there any settings to change the file output on the video on this phone or any third apps that we can use?
Same for me, I use my Internet-TV box but can't read the .3gp with it.
So I can play everything on my TV with DNLA excepted the videos I recorded with the Sensation.
One app exists: LG camera, there's a free version on the market. You can record 1080p directly to .mp4 so I can play it on my TV......but I think the video quality using this app is really not good, way under the quality you can have using the stock application of the Sensation and its .3gp format......
hi guys,
i bought an MHL -> hdmi cable tv out for my sensation.
But how does it work ? when i plug cable on tv , no images ...
can someone explain me how do that works ? thanks
What video converter should I use so that I can convert my HD MKV movies, to a compatible format that I can play on my HTC sensation.
I have a mp4 video and I tried playing it on Dice Player but it says that the license is not valid whenever I try playing the video.
Either way, I prefer to convert the video to a compatible format because then I can have a smaller size file, and still high quality.
I want to be able to chose the bitrate on video and audio. ?not just that, but I want to be able to choose the qHD resolution.
Do not use cracked version.
Buy Diceplayer.
your diceplayer is cracked or not verified from Google license program.
If you are paid user, contact [email protected]
I use mkv file converter. You convert to avi, divx,mpeg4,h.264, you name it. Search key word"mkv converter" on google & you'll get ton's of hits.

Never let me down with any video I've tried playing. Download off site not market, I havent tried on sensation yet but have used it on all my other android devices. Its hardware accelerated so should do some damage if it runs on sensation.

Hello again, does anybody knows how to put a movie on your sensation-SD card ofcourse. To see back in the given movieplayer. And what kind of extensions can I use ?
sent with unbranded htc sensation stock Rom!
Put them anywhere on the SD Card.
You can use Avi, mp4, 3gp, etc
Or get MoboPlayer off the market and it will play pretty much anything
I would advise totaly the same, I use MoboPlayer as well and have not had any issues to play any format until now
I love it to open books on the sensation. I now have a comic reader on it. It support .cbr . Now i have one think can i convert cbr to epub. Because i like the turning page thing more the. Scrolling up and down. Or is the epub not for picture?

That's overkill unless he plans on playing the movies on his HDTV via HDMI.
I use doubletwist. can wirelessly sync your contents also. and with the airtwist addon, you can stream to any appletv via airplay
I use QQ Player and its quite good for me. Its fast and has a clean and nice GUI, it even has its own decoders and you can choose the path for your videos.
Not planning to use hdmi, just want divx quality video fun

mx movie player is the best option.

Agree. MX Player plays just about anything you throw at it.
Plays my 1080p .WMVs videos perfectly.
Hi all,
does anybody know how I can get videos recorded on my Sensation, recognized by my PC.....Nothing plays them and I don't really want to mess about with convertors etc
Is there a specific codec I can install on my PC or has anybody developed a way to record in a different format yet?
Thanks
The Sensation records into the 3gp container. WMP12 should be able to play it.
Use VLC player - Plays anything.
Download codecs.
