Hi all,
I just recently got a gTablet and is wondering if anyone can suggest a ROM based on Froyo that would meet my needs. I first tried out GtabComb and some Gingerbread based ROMS but I find them sluggish when browsing, so I want to give Froyo ROM a try.
I'm basically just looking for a Froyo ROM that is stable, fast, smooth, and has good battery life. No fancy features needed.
Thanks for the help.

I have been on Roebeet's Froyo 2.2 TNT Lite 4.4 since I got my GTab. I consider his work Gospel. For me, it offered the best stability out there of all Roms, Gingerbread and Honeycomb included. I couldn't be more happy with his Rom. Although he retired it, information can still be found on this site. Good luck!
I personally like Calkulin+Clemsyn 1.5ghz Froyo Combo VER 6 (needs 1.2bootloader).

Hi there
I have an HTC Desire HD, currently running CM7.0.3 ROM. Its my first ROM I have used and it seems to be one of the popular ones. I'm loving the speed my phone is now running at, and the smooth UI, But there is one big problem since I have flashed this ROM, My battery life is ridiculous. 3 hours of usage and its down to 15%, Im charging my phone twice a day and its about 2 months old.
Stock android had excellent battery life. Now besides the battery life I am kinda bored with the ROM now.
I'm looking for advice on which ROM you recommend, There are so many, I just want some personal opinions.
This is what I am looking for in a ROM:
GOOD BATTERY LIFE
Stylish panels and buttons
Must be based on the latest Android software
Overclocking options
Smooth and fast running
Ag hell, If you know of an excellent ROM with Excellent battery life then let me know. Please post a link to its page and why you love it.
Thanks!
Coredroid are a great set of roms for the desire ...ive been using them for a while and they have never failed me
Hello i have over a month with my Inspire 4G, and im ready to move, since i did love Root features on my Motorola Milestone and want to try gingerbread.
So my requirements for a ROM are simple:
1. Gingerbread
2. Sense 2.1 (this is my first HTC and i love sense, but dont like the lag that produce sense 3 on the Inspire)
So based on that i have narrow down a few ROM checking over the devs forum,
LeeDrOiD 4G
Android Revolution HD
ClearDroid
Inspired Ace
So what you guys think?, which is the Best Gingerbread, Sense 2.1 ROM?
Im really hoping good opinions since im pretty new with my Inspire and not know much about those ROMs...
Thanks
Everyone's opinions will differ. I am running inspired ace and I think its great. Battery life is good and it runs very smooth. But your best bet is to try each of them for a few days. Make a backup of each one when you switch to the next. Then once you figure out which one you like the best just restore that backup. That's how I did it anyways. Flashing roms is one of my favorite things about being rooted. It's kind of an addiction. So have fun!

There is no best Rom, only best for you and only you can say which one is best for your device. If you would have searched you would know all best told threads are closed in sight.

Hello everybody. I am interested in flashing a custom ICS rom and I was interested to know something people have really liked in ICS as compared to Gingerbread or other OSes, such as general performance or battery life or whatever.
Battery life seems a lot better to me than GB ROMs. My personal favorite has to be the updated keyboard. Auto correct and suggestions are much better now. The overall look and feel is a big step up from Gingerbread (AOSP at least, anyway).
So question for you guys!
Which ROM should I flash for my HTC Desire? I want to have the most smooth user friendly ROM out there...that does what I need it to do
Maybe some convenient tweaks in the rom here and there would be nice...toggles and such. But I think mostly a light weight smooth rom would be nice ^.^.
So ill take all opinions into consideration!

Go and checkout the CyanogenMod Rom for the desire. I really like it. It is clean, fast and very good supported.
Hello Folks,
my Samsung Galaxy S broke last week and I need a new phone! I tried a lot of roms on that phone and was very pleased with the variety of customization and flashs for it. The MIUI Rom was by far the best one I tried (GB and ICS), i really love the smooth and intuitive OS and that's why I want a phone that fully supports MIUI V5 and by that I mean it should work for daily use, work fluently and stable!
It's not necessary that it's an official MIUI V5 Rom, it should just be stable, as already said.
I'm pretty open for every brand or model, I would prefer if the performance was better than the Galaxy S, since I want a snappy phone!
Thanks in advance!

Then I would order a phone from China. MIUI is not respected here nor is the company that produces it.
