How do I check the serial unmber on the dock? In the about section I can see a serial number but it doesnt have anything like B50 or B60 in it, it begins with 02 ...
Oh, and I peeled off the serial number sticker on the bottom of the tablet when I got it..
Backside of the retail package also has a serial number. Also the seal lable is black instead of green. Other than that... There is nooo way man....

He's right My B50 had green with black lettering on the seals at the bottom of the box. My B60 has black with grey or white lettering on the seal. Without the box serial number or the serial number on the dock ..there is no easy way to tell.
Too bad there's not a warranty booklet in there like there is for the tablet... WTH.
So how can I be sure that I'm getting the b60 dock?
Are all the new dock in say amazon.com the b60 ones?

Not sure why but my box came with a spare small sized white sticker with 'htc void' written on it repeatedly. I've got no idea what this is for...

I got mine from Phones 4 U here in the Uk, I'm sure mine came with this sticker as well. If I remember the actual box was secured with a plain white sticker - and the inner box was a right pain to get out.
I assumed that the sticker came in the box so that a retailer could charge the handset or check the contents and then reseal the box.
I bought a handset a while back from Vodafone and it came with a sticker saying something like "walk out talking" because they'd charged the handset before selling it?
I could be wrong though.

You are correct. Mine was the same way. Since the DHD is sold unlocked/unbranded there is no need for the seller to open it, so we get that sticker.
mine is tmobile branded and didnt include such sticker.
so your theory seems to be right

That would be true if you still had all the cables, charger in their original wrapping, plus the plastic cover foil around the phone.
Interesting, I've not seen this before. Thanks for the explanation guys.

As it happens, I do still have all the plastic stuff

I don't believe this is gonna work
I was wondering why I had one of these! Cheers for the explanation, haha
Just had mine 3 days ago. Bought it from Phones4U UK on aTmobile contract. Its unlocked and with no branding . Also came with the white stickers.
Just thought i'd add my pennies worth.
Just gotten my phone today and its simlocked to 3 and has the stickers inside also. . . .
Just curious to see if you leave the silver asus sticker on or not ??
Usually stickers like that annoy the hell outta me but for some reason .. i dunno if i want to take it off lol
So .. did you rip yours off (ooooh matron)?
most laptops come with stickers like that with specs written on it or just the little ones that say amd/intel and windows 7
yeah i gently took mine off and put it somewhere nice

greetings
I took it off .... my OCD was kicking in lol
Am I the only the one that left the sticker on?
I left it on for about a month. one day I was taking some notes and unconsciously started picking at it... Since I kinda messed up a corner I decided to peel it off. Generally I leave those stickers on, not sure why, just do. In fact I still have the sticker on my laptop that I have had for over a year lol.
Sent from my Infuse... Love it!
Always peel them off, especially the nasty Windows logos, I haven't had Windows on a notebook for about a decade! I just realized it's still on my TF though, has been since April lol. Should probably peel it off, but I just got used to it.

I can't even remember having the sticker on there at all.
Speaking of stickers though, it ****s me no end that the serial number is a sticker. It's starting to come off >_<

Serial numbers should be etched onto the device though. If it's stolen, and gets sold to a pawn shop or similar store, then you can get it back. With a sticker, they can just peel it off before selling.
Sent from my Transformer TF101
The S/N is also on atleast 4 different parts within the TF and not as stickers.
yeah, but what pawn shop will let you open the device up to prove it's yours?
First off i think its stupid asus used stickers for serial numbers since they fall off like on my dock. My dock has the battery drain issue that needs asus to physically repair. What do I do since my serial number sticker fell off and is gone? I bought the dock from tiger direct.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
If you purchased the dock separately, the serial number should be on the back of the box.
Hi there,
I've had a look but can't find any posts on this, search is temporarily disabled at the moment as well.....
Anyhoo, I've got an IMEI panel on the back of my N5 between the NEXUS and LG markings.
Does anyone know if these can come off? I have a buff rectangle with the IMEI number and a barcode which seems to be mounted on a larger black glossy rectangle.
I don't want to end up making the phone look crap, I assume they're stuck on.
Anyone any success in removing them? Not particularly a fan of it as it is.....
Thanks for any help!
Justin
Yes it comes off
Mine came off really easily and left no marks, and I have the white model
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Just to confirm it does come off , I have the black one and also thought this but simply pick at the right side (the tab bit) and it should come away from the back relatively easily and leave no mess, enjoy your clean back! .
Just taken mine off with no problems!

Lol! Just came looking for an answer to this as well. Didnt want to mess up the back. Thanks all!
I was thinking the same thing! haha...I was pissed that none of the hands on videos showed the sticker and mine came with a sticker loll
just wondering for those who took the sticker off, do you have LG d820 under the sticker, with a glassy plastic finish?

well that sure was easy
Sorry for necroing, but for those who wonder, your IMEI tag is under the battery so removing that annoying sticker won't void your warranty or something like that. Peeled mine off easily.
Quick question what did the box look like , did it have a clear shrink wrap on the outer box or not , also was there is a typical Samsung single or dual security tape on the cardboard box or not ?
A lot of so called brand new items from the far east are made to look like brand new hence wanting to know what an HK box looks like from factory.
Im already aware that the contents will include case and a pre applied screen protector. Thanks for the feedback.
Edit , I've partially answered some of my own questions.

I remember mine was single security tape and no shrink wrap. It came with a silicone case. Screen protector on the screen and some plastic on the back that you pull off.
Mine was supplied by T-Dimension to the UK. The box was not shrink wrapped. It has one taped seal - a black sticky label with Samsung branding and the don't accept if seal broken message. The seal was intact. I'm 100% satisfied that everything is original and perfect.
There is a little difference between HK (TGY) and TW (BRI) with the printed materials and power adapters.

I ordered my one form Wonda and it was a brand new, sealed box.
It had a phone case, charger, headphones, docs. The phone itself had protection film applied from all sides so I didn't buy any screen protector.

What did the single sticker that holds the box together look like ? Any pics ? Thanks.
You can see the label here. Apologies for the orientation. It was correct when I took it.

Here's what I was talking , I think the concensus is that Samsung doesn't shrink wrap their boxes.
Shrink wrap can be done by reseller (there are a lot of inexpensive appliances available). I would relay on the seal / label only.

Indeed, anyone can shrink wrap with correct equipment.
Selling refurbished devices as brand new is big business. Especially these days when it's difficult to even attain the true battery values from a device without root.
Ok here we go, seal looks nothing like Todd's one.
There's two clear round seals on each side and one white security sticker that doesn't have those anti lift corners.

Also guys with HK models do you have any imei information printed on the back glass ?
There's a few discrepancies I've noticed already one the back glass not having imei but that could be regional thing , second Phone NFO shows device made in Korea when the box shows Vietnam. These questions are directed towards SM-N9860 users owners.

I do not
My white model does not have IMEI listed on the back, just the Samsung name.
Box says Vietnam.
Phone Info says Korea.
Manufactured 19/09/20, ordered 05/10/20, received 14/10/20.
Two OTA updates so far in October.

I have a sticker exactly like that inside the box. It appears that the sticker on the outside of the box was taken from that same label.
