I use tTorrent. It seems rather like version of uTorrent for my phone. Mind you, you will be required to install a secondary app to be able to search for torrents, but it's pretty decent.

yeah im on a couple torrent communitys so searching isnt that important. you saying its like utorrent also makes me happier cause ive been personally useing that for maybe 4 years now on my pc
Hey guys I've been also wanting something to download Torrents/movies and tried this. I would get my torrent and open it with this app but it wont start downloading. Are you guys having the same problem? I have 3-4 bars of signal and when I do a speed test I average 5+ mbps.

Ttorrent, mtorrent, androidtorrent, torrent-fu, red torrent, andtorrent I prefer mtorrent. Its goood. Some are in market, some are not, but you can get it.

Wondering if there is a good torrent app out there. Tried aBTC, but I dislike it, only one torrent at a time, and never finishes

I purchase dTor but error for validation, don't buy it.
And there is another torrent app but it's not on the market. It's name is AndTorrent.
You can find it in google code or blapk markek.

You should check out Transdroid and Torrent-fu, both free. I haven't tried them yet but they are supposed to be the best on the market.

Hey guys. I use torrent_fu works great. Its a manager for your pc at home. So right now I can see how my torrents are going and search for new ones and download. A little config is needed at the start however is worth it. As 4 downloading on your phone I don't think one exists, bandwidth etc... but eventually it'll be good enough

i would be intersted in trying this program if ne 1 has a version for o/s 1.6
I use torrent-fu too.
Brilliant program. Had to do some tinkering on u-torrent at home, but once you have this is ideal.
I setup a webserver and dynamic DNS on my home PC so I didn't have to change the IP address in the app, you can use a webserver and portnumber instead (one setup, then sorted)
Now I can check my downloads from everywhere
(only legal torrents, of course)
I bought Dtor and works like a charm for me.

Hi guys i just wanted to share this awesome app. its called tv shows hd. for some reason they removed it from the market, but i just recently found it. the link is http://www.mobileboxs.info/android-apps/tv-shows-hd-v2-9-android/ just click on the megashare mirror and close all popups. click on where it says free download and close popups. then just wait for the countdown and download the apk. install it by either putting it on your sd card or going directly on your phone and downloading it and installing it like any other apk. Enjoy!!!!

I use "TV Shows Stream". The free version only allows a few shows, but if you just dish out a couple bucks for the paid app, it's well worth it. Tons of shows that update frequently.

i use this too and its awesome!! anybody know of a live tv app? the last one was taken over by the FBI and other legal stuff anybody find a new one?
To make it fullscreen, just long press near the top somewhere until you see the full screen icon on the top left corner
Tv shows stream is like 8 dollars now...too expensive if u ask me. Tv shows Hd is free and the quality is amazing
Whenever I do full screen like 10 seconds later it goes back to un-full screen. Anyone else experiencing this?

Cant get this damn app to work. It searches for servers and then gives me an ad and then black screen. Tried force stoppping, and retarting. Even rebooted my phone. Any advice? Do I need to be on Wifi or is 3G fine? On a rooted Droid X running 2.3.3.

I can confirm the app working perfectly on my Droid X running 2.3.3 on 3G. Don't know what would be giving you issues.

You might have heard that Google was rolling out a new Android Market, complete with book and movie rentals. You also might have heard it would coming in the next few weeks. Well thanks to an anonymous source (possibly with a time machine) you can grab it today.
Hit the download link, and install it from your SD card like any other app. Fair warning -- we don't know if there will be any complications from doing this, but we haven't seen any so far. Use your best judgement. Discuss it in the forums!

Seems a little cluttered but i like it mostly. I'd recomend using something to backup your old market app in case this one doesnt work for anything, in the comments on that post some people said they were having problems uninstalling/updating apps.

Why bother with any software or plugging your phone in to install an APK? It all seems a bit unnecessary. I just chrome-to-phoned the dropbox URL and bam app installed.

If your running tpgb ninja your rooted, so you don't need the sideload machine, just go to settings>applications>and check unknown sources. Then put this apk on your sd card and use file manager (an app installed in ninja) to select it and install.
Oh, and i am running ninja 7061. but i think i might just go back to stock CM
FOr people who want old market follow these steps:

It's not a "method" really, it's just.. installing the app, the same way you would any APK. Doesn't matter how you get the url to the APK to your phone (email, chrome to phone, typing it in by hand).

How do I install this? Should I manually push the apk with root explorer for it to work? I tried regular install but it doesn't install.

I simply downloaded it... clicked on the completed download... then had the option to install... went straight to the market and checked the version, no issues at all.
Renamed and pushed no problem. Def faster.
I hope this fixes the "insufficient space" bug on our phones.

when it comes to the market, it only updates when it's open. it's the only app that does it that way. all other apps will show in the notifications. if I'm wrong, please let me know, but I don't think that's the case.

How do you know that this is the ONLY app?
But anyway, my point is if Google can do it on Android platform it does not matter with one app or many.
PS: off-topic, Google Map subscribes to bunch of intents, so it would be launched when you turn-on screen, WiFi etc... I would like start application when I press app icon... There are no other way to opt-out other then disable Map in pm.
Google maps can be stopped by using the app autostarts. All those apps that start by themselves when you do something, ie reboot phone connect to wifi ect... no longer plague me. True, I just delete most of them, but there are some I actually use (like maps and Gmail).
Unfortunately I can no longer find the exact app I use in the market, though I'm sure there are others that do the same thing. If anyone would like the apk for the one I use just let me know and I can post it next time I'm on my laptop.

If you found the developer posted it for free on XDA, please link to that... otherwise this breaks XDA rules.

My bad go back and see my previous posting, I didn't see it on the market when I looked last week. I just checked again and your right, it is still there. I'm not at my laptop now. Either need to have a mod delete my post or I'll do it tonight when I'm on the computer again.

So yeah I have been looking for a few roms for a few devices I acquired, and I kept going clicking on the download mirrors, and it redirects me to download this download manager called "ilivid" and malware bytes kept blocking it. So I decided to do it in a virtual machine and it would redirect pages to ilivid home page instead of some of the actual pages I was looking for. It would intermittently open Internet Explorer pages to advertised pages to you, it installs toolbars without asking you, it above all DOES NOT contain the rom linked to in the description. This is after 1 hour. After 10 hours I came back to a frozen XP, rebooted to find it infested with adware and trashed XP. BEWARE of ilivid, and if you use firefox use the addon BLOCKSITE and add ilivid to it.

It should be a general rule to never use these download managers.
They are almost always just some faulty, adware junk.
Even on cnet they try to push some crap on unknowing people just trying to download some software.

Well thanks for the update on that bullsh*t program. Now I might have to restore my who computer cuz i put it on my computer as well. Question though how can i download the roms then everytime i click on a download link it directs me there.
the only download manager i would really trust is jdownloader
it's open source!

how am I suppose to download that any of the rom creators make when all it does is take me to an Ilivid DLM link. Nothing ever happens after that, I click on skip add and I just get another DLM.
Example I'm trying to download the mac rom out of the droid eris forum.
which in turn just takes you to this link for Ilivid DLM.
never mind I can't post links because I don't have 10 post yet.
Good thing I always avoid livid when it pops up.
Like it's really hard to make the difference between an ad and a real link >.>
