Hi I recently sold my HD2 with Android and bought the HTC Sensation 4G T-Mobile and see it does not have arabic font preinstalled. Is it possible to get it I have searched all 13 pages of this thread and the market and had no success finding arabic fonts .

Currently you cannot.
Until the Sensation gets unlocked then you will be able to get Arabic on your non-Arabic Sensation.
There is rom update its has full arabic support

u wont be able to flash it until we get s-off
for now u can use
Firefox for web browsing
and twitter for htc /friends stream for social networks
email widget for emails
they read arabic good
apparently sense reads Arabic good !!! dont know y letters get screwed on other apps

My view is that sense My device is official MEA version I can flash official Arabic Rom.
My Device is s-on.
Can you please tell me from where your friend purchased his device.

There is no Arabic ROM yet, but when flashing custom ROM on Sensation would become possible then you can flash Arabic patch from my thread. It should work on any custom ROM based on the same RUU

There is still no official Arabic ROM from HTC. Once it is ready you will receive it through FOTA if you your device was originaly a ME version.
HTC always does this.
Htc mea has posted on their Facebook page that sensation will be released with full Arabic support.
It should be clearly visible on the box that it's Arabic enabled.
It Will be released on Thursday in stores accross uae, also according to their Facebook page.
Here in Lebanon the official reseller said it should be available soon, I am just waiting for their SMS notification when it arrives.

Also, the Arabic ROM has been leaked and is available here.

After some readings I understood that I must wail till the bootloader is unlocked, but some said the HTC facebook page said that it will be these days and some said no news while others working on hacking it, is there any confirmed news about when it will be opened?
What about the root to install the apps that need root? can I install it? or it is depends on the bootloader unlocked also?
Hey I just got the update for Arabic support a couple of days ago, and though I wasn't gonna install it initially because I didn't need it I thought I might as well just get the update out of way and do it thinking that I'll be able to disable the arabic support. Now that it's updated I've noticed that it's fixed the issue I had with the default media player where it stopped the audio after about a minute but some of the text on the phone(like where it tells me how much unread mail I have) appears in arabic. How do I turn this off? Language selected is English(United Arab Emirates). Thanks.

You can't flash an RUU that's different from you original version. It's been covered SO many times before it's not funny.
What RUU are you trying to flash and what ROM is currently on your phone?
im trying to install "RUU_Pyramid_HTC_ARA_1.34.415.1"

i want to add arabic support to my device , when i run the RUU it can't discover the device, my device is connects and set to USB disk drive
You can't do it. To find the version on your handset go to Settings>About phone>Software information
And it shouldn't be connected in Disk Drive mode to run an RUU - you set it to HTC Sync (and you need HTC Sync installed on your PC)

You can't, simple as that. You need to wait until we have root access to flash a new ROM which has Arabic support built into it. Might be weeks yet
as mentioned above, you just can't at the moment, for arabic webpages however you can download Firefox which renders arabic websites without a problem, I know that doesn't solve all the problems though, the facebook app for instance can't ready arabic unless it's supported natively by the rom, don't worry though, once HTC releases its S-off update all will be fine.

to a 1.34.206.1 (Europe) device, right? =(

eddy if u could help be greatfull. for warranty purpose i want to go back s on but when i run ruu error 155 when i do it in hboot error 1.70 wanna go back 1.45 ruu at the moment im on 1.73

Your thread in general isn't helpful to the guy dragging up an 8 month old thread. To answer the question you need to s-off, set super cid and then flash the RUU you wish to use

eddy thanks i am s off and supercid .when i run ruu says current image version 1.73.401.2 update to1.45.468.2 so i enter update than it says error 155 get correct ruu well im in turkey this is turkish ruu so i have the right ruu where am i doing wrong?
Anyone know anything about this, because I remember that HTC said that the update of the Asian version would come out first that the U.S. version and the version of tmobile 4g sentation has a rolling update, which will be happening??

For you to get ota you should and SHOULD make your cid a TMOUS one

I don't understand what all the fuss is. We already have essentially fully working ICS ROMs available. Wifi calling works just great with ARHD. The TMO stock ICS ROM will be pretty crippled no doubt, and we'd just be waiting for a mod of that anyway, which doesn't seem to make much sense.
The only item of potential interest would be the radio. Or perhaps an update to wifi calling for those who are experiencing issues.
On a side note, is the native usb/wifi/bt tethering different from TMO's adaptation nowadays?
I live in India and I have an unbranded version of the Htc amaze 4g which I need to update to ICS
But unfortunately....... I can't do it because there at no updates provided OTA for this version in India
So I tried installing a custom ROM but for that I need to s-off my device
Any suggestion on how to do it would be very much appreciated
