EP1H Link - Here - Verizon Droid Charge

Does any know if I can post the link to the new GB leak (EP1H)? Becuase I dont know if TBH is waiting to release this to people that dont have their app at a later time. Well, I have it and I have uploaded it and have a link ready.
Edit:
Couldnt find anywhere not too...
Info from TBH: "This Odin image has factory radios and kernel. The System has been modified to fit my debloated specifications. I then added skype, gtalk w/video, netflix, golauncher, the new market, maps, and more."
Remember this is not from me but from TBH donate to them if you like this....

Not any where I can find..um I guess a mod will take it down if they need too.

I am flashing now, just so everyone knows this is double compressed so you have to extract it 2 times. Thats why everyone is having issues installing it.
EDIT: Running good but still didn't fix the 2 issues I had with EP1F which was the backlit physical keys and the low volume half ring on the first ring.

There are also HEX differences in the LTE modem from EP1F to EP1H. I'd be curious to see if anyone notices any improvements in the 4G characteristics. I know I had a little higher latency and it would take longer to init. 4G when I was on GB.
I've attached a SS showing there are differences.
edit: the cp_modem is different too. Hopefully this causes some of the swithover and dropout issues I saw with GB.

are those the only differences on this leak? i heard imnuts came out with a voodoo for GB too..

So you're working on a kernel for EP1H? Looking forward to a new radio, and once kejar and crew have time to apply all the fixes they've got in EP1F Gummy it'll hopefully be stable and usable. So did you get source on this one, or are you just good like that?

Anyone else getting reboots on this leak? I've been rock solid on everything else, but have booted 4x on this one.

So Can Cellular South join you guys??

I mean we have basically the same phone.. and I think the user base on Cellular South is probably to small to have it's own sub forum.
Yeah I was wondering the same thing--Cellular South Galaxy S Showcase user here. Rooted and Clockwork recovery installed.

IT'S NICE!!!!
I installed the Voodoo kernal last night for the Showcase! Working great. Quadrant score went up to over 1800 from around 900. It is nice. Any custom ROMs available yet I could try? Yeah our own forum would be good.

I welcome you guys as the more the merry just watch what can be flashed as some roms may def. brick but you may want to try the mods I created "AT YOUR OWN RISK" as they only change the boot animation and notification icons and give you a accurate battery......the software is so close I THINK it should not be much of a streach to do it but to be sure I need your framework to be possitive....Do you have option to go back to a stock phone as backups are good but NOT a fix all......DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND HAVE AN OUT BEFORE YOU DO IS THE MORAL HERE...Thanks

I can't help you with he stock files.. JT has a repository, of the showcase. Geekmouse also has MOST of the Showcase files backed up. So one of them would be a good place to see maybe?
I've already changed my boot up sound and image. But having on of your battery mods would be neat
So does anyone have a Cellular South Showcase specific Recovery image?? Odin recovery??? And NO I haven't bricked my phone... just seeing what resources are floating around..

I thought jt got CWM working for the Showcase. That would give you a recovery image. As for the stock files to flash in Odin, that's another story. Those have to come from someone who has them for "technical" reasons, like an in store technician. Or maybe a curious engineer who happens upon them while he was looking for something else and decided to download them as a just in case.... lol

Could somebody thats gotten this working with the Mesmerize help me. I've switched out the apns xml file, added the cdma xml, and edited the build.prop. I have yet to get data working, though, I've flashed everything, back and forth, several times each. Anybody that could help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you gotten issues worked out that JT still has? IE: are you basically trying to convert JTs build only for mesmeriize, or are you going above and beyond and fixing issues like camera, bt, etc?
I just still haven't gotten data working with anything I've tried, I am by no means a real dev like dfgas and jt. So, I am just trying to get it ported for awesomeness.

Those issues exist on all AOSP builds. Just something you have to deal with until they can figure out fixes for them.

No, comm rom is Touchwiz based, that only replaces the mms app. I think it would only further break mms in an AOSP rom. The problem is deeper in AOSP roms. That sure would be nice, though!

If your thinking that it would fix mms, it wouldn't, all aosp roms have this problem for us.
Darn, got ninja'd.
The issues with MMS/Camera on AOSP rom's are very difficult, there is no easy fix or it would have been done already . From what we have gathered, the problem with MMS lies in WAP (among other things) - we can get it to locate the correct server (and i believe it even connects) but then we get errors referencing WAP not being enabled, therefore not getting the push from the server. One suggestion was that maybe something in the kernel needed to be tweaked, but we haven't gotten any further with testing that theory. Keep in mind most of us putting up ROM's and such in here are not "real" developers, meaning we haven't built anything from source (as far as for the android OS) and therefore we don't really have the capability of fixing such issues. Most of us have been self teaching and learning from others how to "kang" (port) ROM's that have been developed for other phones, that's why you're seeing these drops, so please keep that in mind .
Some developers, such as jamezelle, jt1134, and adrynaline, have been looking at the issues since the beginning, and if they haven't had any luck with current resources - then chances are until we locate certain source or come up with a work-around that they haven't thought of - things will remain as is.
here is an update on the rom, its not looking good, when L3ttuc3 makes the necessary edits to the framework we get a fc when we receive a sms and try to send one.

If you pull up the build.prop in the link i posted and compare to his and make the same changes - your data should work. We haven't had to tweak anything to get data working so i'm thinking an incorrect change in build.prop could be the case - or you could just be unlucky

so far I have found no bugs. Everything seems to be working. Really like the appearance and smoothness of this rom. Just one quick question--I noticed that the file system was changed to ext3 if I decide to flash another rom is there anything I must do to avoid problems? I know with Vibrant and voodoo which is ext4 I had to be very careful. I have no idea what or how to change it back. Any help is much appreciated.
the space bar has the edge of the screen dead spot while in landscape mode... that alone is enough to drive me f'in crazy since i hate typing in portrait
For those of you wondering this rom is based off of the g2x gb leak that paul put out, so its 2.3.3. I have not really found an bugs, but I only put it on this morning so I have not tested extensively but like i said the landscape mode space bar dead zone is enough to scare me away... this is mostly a problem with the gb keyboard since the keys are a bit thinner

G2X Rom Comparison Chart

I have started a comparison chart for the currently available ROM's for the G2X. Since we are just getting started with this device it seems like a great time.
I have made the spreadsheet editable by anyone, I encourage and would appreciate any help with keeping it current. I also do not mind any improvements you see fit, such as adding or changing columns, conditional formatting etc. I just put this together in the time I had available today and it is a rough draft. I know some of you here have much more experience in using Google docs and making something like this so do your thing! I'd like this to be a community project.
PLEASE do not intentionally falsify any information or in any way harm the integrity of this project, we all benefit from this site and there is nothing funny about ruining this for others. Also, I will make a nightly backup.
I can't seem to embed this into the post so here is a link.

Bionix has kernel .1.1 according to its changelog?
It seems you are trying to make a point or something with the voodoo lagfix?
If none of the phones have it, why would there be a column then?? The column would only be necessary if one of the roms had it. Why put it in there?
We will never have a lag-fix as we already have a great file system (ext3 and ext4) only reason that would be needed is for Samsungs ****ty rfs file system. Might as well remove it from the chart
Good comparison chart though. ^^
Edit: Oh and mine does have spare parts, boot and shutdown animation changed as well

You know what, I actually re-flashed my old vibrant for the wife to use the same day I flashed my first ROM onto this phone so I remembered hearing the lagfix lady while I was flashing a ROM on here and so I thought.. well, maybe it was a little late when I put this together. Column removed.
Once again, if there is something silly like this that you guys see please feel free to make the change, I'm not claiming ownership of this spreadsheet.

Hi tweezit! Thanks for taking the time to reply. I am running your ROM now and its sexy Updated your info.
Removed the lagfix column, I guess it had just become a permanent part of my psyche.
Should I replace with a file system column (ext3 or ext4)? Or is that not important?
Also, is it safe to assume everyone is running the same base band at the moment?

Thanks for the info faux! I promise its nothing personal that yours was lacking. I actually think your ROM is brilliant, and your a bit of a genius![/suckup] I'm just sticking to froyo for now.
I really appreciate you guys (devs) posting in here. I've been working long days I just wanted to get this out there even as a really rough draft so it didn't just become a bigger and bigger task I don't get around to. I
Added Gigglebread and File System column.
Thanks to everyone who has edited with more info!
This is going to sound petty, but can we add a column for HD recording support? I know the leaked build doesn't support it (that's why I went back to stock), do any of the custom ROMs support it yet that are not Froyo-based? I presume all froyo ROMs would support HD recording with the LG camera apk.

I absolutely love the way this rom feels, but I did uninstall it to stock ee4 only because i was having trouble syncing my gmail. there is a simple fix, but you have to do it manually and i haven't fully tried it yet.
adb pull /data/system/sync/android.xml ./android.xml
open the file and mess with where it says "com.android.calendar" and switch it to say just "calendar"
then push the file back when you're done. you should make a backup of this file before you do it.
OR, you could trying pulling this file BEFORE you root and switch to gummycharge. and then push it back in once you see the error with the sync.
i would suggest the latter, but again, i haven't tried either method yet.
let me know what it goes for some of you.
meanwhile, greatjob kejar, looking forward to soft-bricking my phone with many of your new versions of gummy in the future. i am willing to test any beta's you're willing to put out
I have been planning on installing this ROM for about a week now - this is the 1st I have read of the issue syncing GMAIL. This is a deal killer for me as I rely very heavily upon Google Apps sync in my business. Is the fix well documented somewhere?
Thx

I absolutely love the way this rom feels, but I did uninstall it to stock ee4 only because i was having trouble syncing my gmail. there is a simple fix, but you have to do it manually and i haven't fully tried it yet.
adb pull /data/system/sync/android.xml ./android.xml
open the file and mess with where it says "com.android.calendar" and switch it to say just "calendar"
then push the file back when you're done. you should make a backup of this file before you do it.

Ok as far as the battery life Im a heavy user so I get about 5 hrs heavy use if its just normal casual use I can go all day...the video fix is in 1.5 and I have had no sd probelms. You have to keep in mind this is only version 1.5 so as kejar31 go's it will only get better.
If you don't try this rom you will never know if you truly like it!!!

What do you mean by poor battery. Are you calling 1 1/2 day of battery poor?

With moderate use I've only been getting about 8-10 hours battery life. If I try not to use it hardly, I've gotten it up to 21 hours(like leaving it on while I sleep and then not much while I'm up). I'm on 3G, automatic screen, 15 sec screen hibernate. I had apps updating more frequently and 1 minute/30 sec screen hibernate the first couple days I had the phone, and was only getting about 6-7 hours.

I haven't heard anything about it either! I am also very dependent on Google apps. If you decide to give Gummy a try and have this issue sarends, let me know and I will help but I doubt you will.
