Baseband 15-July did change... they used the AOSP camera... kernel version is 2.6.32.9 haven't tried Bluetooth yet. Had to go back to work

So far so good...listening to Pro Radio on bluetooth as we speak. It does look like some functionality of the AOSP camera has improved...maybe wishful thinking on my part but photos look better.
_ExternalSD has been fixed... Failure to root with SOC and Gingerbreak app... Tried psnueter and gingerbreak exploit. Data connection is SLOW!!!

There's a screenshot function built into MIUI. Press menu and volume down at the same time. You'll hear a shutter sound. The screenshot will be in /sdcard/MIUI.

MarkHUK and the team are working on it. They have the source code, and they are planning a fully-international release in the future.
They will need the city codes for your country. Check out THIS THREAD at miui-dev.com, and post your city codes.

Oh. You sure you don't get the screenshots? Maybe the ports will get better now that Nexus S is getting GB MIUI.
Were your devs using the Nexus One version or i9000 version?
And if you are have issues installing it just use zipsigner from the market and sign the apk a it will work

Firmware version update only, i still find that firmware also
can you post a link from where you downloaded it so we can look at the source.
I find it odd that it is the next number. I havnt seen an update for firmware ever do that.

I've seen it happen with test builds. if this is somehow pre-release that he has, it's not unlikely that it would be the next number up.
I also know that there's an update coming in june/july so it's very possible that this is a beta version of that build.

As far as I can tell, the letter is the month (A=January, B=February, etc.) and the number is the build number.
Meaning:
D5 - 5th "build" of April
E3 - 3rd "build" of May
And then if there were another update it might be F4 or G7 something.
Just speculating though.

This APK only works on 2.3 based ROM's.
UPDATE: It seems that CM7 seems to be the key to success with this APK.

Please forgive my ignorance for this but you say save my apns for when I flash the modem in case of no data so I can restore them. I went to the apns and saved them but where does the save file go in case I need to restore them?

Yes, please clarify! Are you saying that the Atrix 2 has some form of ICS? Did you pull it from Cheesecake, or...?
As to how to root it just trial and error. I'm not sure if Motofail (our 2.3.6 exploit) would still work. It's worth a try though. One sure way to root is to downgrade GB, root it, edit your /system/bin/mount_ext3.sh, then update.

Anyways, on to rooting. It's possible that no exploits at the moment will work. A couple you might want to try that I've found after a quick google search :
-TPSparkyRoot probably won't work
-Mempodroid (find the offsets with n95-offsets) also probably won't work
-RootICSRazr
