[Q] Restore Root - Stuck - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hopefully someone can help me out on this one because I'm not quite sure what to do at this point. I have a G2x that was having multiple issues so I decided to root and install clockworkmod recovery so that I could flash CM7RC1. I flash CM7RC1 successfully but failed to realize that I did not properly install CWM as I accessed it via ROM manager (lack of proper reading on my part). Since going to CM7RC1 I've lost root and am unable to use Super One Click 1.9.1.0 to get it back. I seem to have lost all Linux commands (ls won't even work through the terminal emulator) so when Super One Click runs it says FAIL as it cannot chmod or mount. If you have any idea on how I can restore root or CWM let me know. Thanks!
Output from Super One Click

HA! Well be that as it may, is there anything I can do...or am I stuck?

Fixed the issue by NVFlashing Clockworkmod recovery with TGA_Gunnman's excellent one-click utility. After that it was easy to restore the backup I had made.

Aria Problem (Rooting)

I have an Aria and I rooted (idk exactly how i did it).
I have htc sync and adb install on my win7 machine.
I used superoneclick the first time I rooted my phone.
I got my wife the same phone. I went to root it, superoneclick worked (so I thought).
I went into reboot into recovery and I end up with the UPSIDE RED TRIANGLE WITH THE EXCLAMATION MARK!!!!!!!!!!!
I wipe my machine free of HTC and rooting product. Reinstalled adb and then used revoked and am still SOL.
I have superuser installed and have rom mananger installed, but I cannot get into recovery. ROM Manager even installed the latest clockwork mod.
But I'm getting the UPSIDE RED TRIANGLE WITH THE EXCLAMATION MARK!!!
HELP!!!!! PLEASE!!!
I tried to unroot with superoneclick and this is what I get:

I tried it again superoneclick froze on me.
check out the Aria Superthread Guide
I'll give it a whirl....
OK the .exe stops downloading from megaupload at 33.4mb. I even bought the premium.
Any other ideas?
SOLUTION!!!
So I found the ROM on the HTC site:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/aria-att/downloads/
I flashed it.
Then I got this error:
Code:
Internal error: am reported error starting service
I googled it and I found this forum:
http://androidforums.com/aria-all-things-root/248603-unrevoked-error-am-reported-error-starting-service.html
Great success!!
I reverted unrevoked to 2.1 and it worked!!!
glad you worked it out

Any idea what that means and why it's happening? Also, does anyone know which option I should select when I plug my phone to the computer: PC Tools, Windows Media Sync, USB Mass Storage, or Modem Mode?
For my defy, i chose to select the PC Tools to root by using super one click, but i use v1.7.0 but not v1.9.1
Thanks WingC! I downloaded 1.7 and chose PC Tools, and it all worked just fine
i used Z4 root on wifes phone and worked fine. just having trouble flashing clockwork recovery
do n update , i think the new version of SuperoneClick must be the right one

Issue with 1.85 One-Click Root

I'm too new of a member to be able to post my issue in that forum so I will post it here.
I got to the point where It checked for updates on the phone, then starts to reboot, and during the reboot the program continues and starts giving more errors. I didn't see a similar issue in the thread that pertained to my particular issue. Here is the error I'm getting :

Press any key to continue . . .
I'm assuming the root didn't work. How would I know? Any ideas?
Thanks

Check your app drawer for SuperSU. If it's there click it and see if you can update the binary. If you can, you're rooted. If you can't or if it's not there than you need to repeat the process until it works.

Ok. It is there and it asked me to update, and that part worked. So... I guess I'm rooted then? I can move on to the bootloader unlocking then?

Yep, youre rooted. Now go and get that bootloader unlocked and flash CleanROM!
Okay so I rooted and unlocked BL. I also used fastboot to flash CWM, but when I try to boot into recovery, it just gets stuck on the "HTC Quietly Brilliant" page and a message in red text underneath.
I've tried reflashing it a few times and no results.
Hello,
Try downloading Goomanager in Google Play and going to "options" install recovery script, it isn't CWM but I actually like it much more. Good Luck

This worked. Thanks a lot!

Question about casual app.

I'm not rooted yet but since this app is for mac, I can finally get to it. So question is, since I'm going to root and unlock the bootloader, does the phone need to be off? Mostly for the root part I guess. May be a dumb question but I'm sure something as little as that could mess up the phone. Then dl new cwm and profit?

No!!
Why have the phone off to root?
Where did you here that?
Not sure. What about in odin mode? I'm pretty sure the other root methods had you in odin
Here's a one click root for you.

I tried several times, using Verizon S3 with the OEM cable, USB debugging checked under dev options. Any ideas why it fails or what I left out? Also, the next step in the guide I was following here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762709 says to "Flash unsecure aboot to unlock bootloader" but that option is not listed on the casual app..
Thanks.

There should be 5 or 6 options in the drop down menu. First should be debugFSroot, last should be flash unsecure boot.img. also make sure your selecting the correct operating system when installing jdk. Last option is to load casual thru wubi(windows ubuntu installer). The reason i switched the root section to the casual method is for the simple fact it works on windows, mac, linux and is all in one. You can root/unlock/flash cwm/ flash stock kernel & recovery/enable hidden menu/ reboot recovery, all from one program. This tool will be the go to option as adam keeps developing it!
