Available languages - HTC Desire S

Hello,
I have a question about the locale languages.
If you install:
saga lbc mod v0.5.3 full (link)
Or:
RUU_Saga_HTC_Europe_1.47.401.4_Radio_20.28I.30.085 AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_199410_signed (link)
Do you still have the locale languages that came with the phone originally or are they gone?

i think nearly all locales are present
what locale language do you want? i can check if it is present for you

Thanks, I would like to keep using dutch if possible.

no i wasent able to find dutch in the locale list
but you can try morelocale2 addon it has dutch(belgium),dutch(netherlands)

Thanks, can I use morelocale2 with bought both of them or only with the official ruu?
In the market place it says:
*New feature*
Save locale function is available.

Does that mean you can add the language to the phones locale and delete the app? Or do you have to continue to use it?

im not sure,we should wait for another answer

Ok, thanks. It 's an new feature and I can't find a lot about it.

I have tried the option and you can make custum locales with it, like English (Germany),... But it doesn't save them to your phones locales.
The app itself works very well, you can set almost every language you want, so it sertainly very useful.

A friend told me that the dutch language should be included in RUU_Saga_HTC_WWE.
The RUU_Saga_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.48.707.1_Radio_20.28I.30.0 85AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_199476_signed is that the same as RUU_Saga_HTC_WWE?
If not thus these one include dutch?

There is a thread containing pre rooted roms in development section (see INDEX) that ars built from the latest builds although not exactly sure which versions, although care should be taken with the latest ruu as they contain an hboot upgrade that you don't want.

Thanks, I had seen the thread but it also doesn't say if dutch is included in the RUU_Saga_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.48.707.1.

2011-02-26 update:
MIUI ROM version 1.2.25 for Desire HD
update: You can find the partial English UI setting instructions here.
But after setting the locale, most of the UI is remaining in Chinese. Need a developer to change the language file to English. The download link for ROM package is listed above.
How to flash
--------------------------------------------
1. Make sure your HBoot is already S-OFF.
2. Have clockwork recovery installed.
3. Copy the zip file to SD card and flash.
Please do a data wipe and cache wipe before flash the zip file. The whole process takes about 5 minutes and after the first Hboot screen, it loads to MIUI themed splash screen quickly.
Awesome!!! Awesome!!! Awesome!!!
yes yes yes!!!
So this is an official rom from miui?!? Oh my days awesome
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App

@luca: ma cosa cambia dal compositore vocale già incluso ad es. nella cyano?
--
@luca: what does it differ from the voice dialer included in cyanogenmod?
The google one are really creepy (not respond well with italian for example, they are optimized fr english), also they not work with carkit, and this one are OFFLINE
After you install this, is there a menu icon for it or it just improves the functionality of the voice dialer and voice search from Google? Because I couldn't find it in the app drawer...
on what rom are you installing this??
Tested successfully in any rom!
Try reflashing the ZIP and clear dalvik and cache!
Luca this is awesome!!! This is a BB feature that I wished our Droids have, and now you were able to bring it.
Thanks again!

Actually it was there, I just couldn't find it. Since my Milestone is in portuguese it is called "Commandos de voz" (green phone icon). But it is showing up in english. How do I change the language? I've tried going into the settings but there's no option. Shouldn't it match the system language?
probably not, I've ripped it from APAC leak and probably it does not support portoguese "icon"
but the commands are executed well in portuguese?>

Exactly, the icon name is actually in portuguese, but the app itself asks for commands in english.
@89luca89 if you speak italian and the name with italian accent it works ok?

italian language is supported
And work EXTREMELY well
Ok, I did some investigations and it does support multiple languages, including portuguese from Portugal (pt-pt). It gets the language defined in the system settings but if this is not supported by Voice Command, then it falls back to english.
I've tried to rename the ptpt files to ptbr but it doesn't work, the app FCs. So for portuguese you have to set Pt Pt as the system language.
Luca, where did you get this app from? Is it standard from Motorola sbf at some region? I'll try to find if pt-br is supported and get the TTS files.

From APAC Froyo leak!
works like a charm in Spanish... thanks man, a good move from motorola too... the Razr V3 had it 6 years ago... it was about time for its 2010 top of the line device to get it after all...

Language Pack
I've flashed the Vivo Leak and got the pt-br (Portugues Brasil) and es-mx (Español Mexico) language files. Just apply the attached update.zip file and you're good to go!
EDIT: Reported that vending.apk was included in the update.zip file. I mistakenly forgot to remove it. Uploaded new update.zip pack. The attached file is the right one with only tts files from Voice Commands.

Screen lag in my i9003

Brought the device for a week but just feeling lag in screen operation in the program list, mis-opening program when flipping through pages
And the lag was found especially in the home, when placing a large widget in one of the home pages.
Did you guide suffer from this? I am from Hong Kong, please forgive my language.
I've done the lag fix, but somehow the situation does not improve.
Thank you.
Try xxkb3, it fixes most of the bugs.

Thank you for your picture.
I think there is no Traditional Chinese Language pack.
But could you find Chinese Language input method?
Thx.
If there is no Chinese language input method there,
maybe the only way is to use another apps for the input.
No there are the same languages for the input. Also I'm using Gingerbread keyboard, but it also doesn't have the Chinese language.

But the lagfix will reduce my available program memory fron 1.8GB to only 1GB after applied?
I am quite confused about the concept of creating a 882MB ext2?
Before I create ext partition for installing apps in the sd card for another android phone.
Is it the same for the lagfix?

This should definatly be in the dev section.... not.
Langauges are controlled by an xml file in system/customize/ and should be added by the ROM maker.
There is however an app to enable langauges available from playstore, only thing is, I've forgotten what the name of the app is sorry. Try searching "langauges" or similar keywords in playstore
