Okay well I want to get a new tablet not really sure about if I want a 10inch or a 7inch. But currently right now I know the place were I will be buying the tablet. I can choose from any of these tablets here
Buy the best Chinese Android Tablet PC on Lightake.com
The reason I can only buy from there is that I could get a really good price for them(not the original prices that are shown, I can get good discounts since I am a pretty big customer) anyways which tablet do you think I should get. I was leaning against this one though

it seemed nice because it has Android 3.2, and a Nvidia Tegra2 processor. But maybe I am mistaken or something, and don't even know which of those tablets have the best processor/ram. Here is a OPAD P10 Tegra2 Tablet PC performance test : OPAD P10 benchmark of it. Is that supposed to be good? That benchmark was done on it when the tablet was on Android 2.2 though it says.
Anyways which one out of all should I get. Please don't like me to other websites. If I had to choose one from those websites which should I get?
If this is in the wrong section please move it.
it's only 512 RAM
everything else is pretty decent
You choose which u want its almost same

I wouldn't buy a Tegra 2 tablet right now. I've got an Asus Transformer and it's not as smooth as you'd expect from a dual-core even overclocked, the browser crashes when it runs out of memory which it does too often and Tegra 2 brings its own problems with video playback.
I'd wait a while.

I have one transformer too. No video playback problem, with stock speed.
Tegra 2 is awesome.
RAM is less, else it's fine.

what he said.
Biggest let down with the 10.1 was the lack of highdef video playback capability.
So should I buy that tablet? What about the one right next to which is also 10 inch but has Froyo. I bet I can upgrade that to Honeycomb though. But how do the specs compare?
do not buy the tab from the link, its a version of the advent vega. this tablet was put out with 2.2, but a coulple of devs from tabletroms ported hc 3.2 to the vega and clones. you can buy this tablet for about 200$ and the easely put hc 3.2 on it yourself. have a look at the forums on here for thr advent vega, you will see for your self..Dont buy from the link its a ripoff price.

Yeah but should the 3.2 run fine on it? I can get the tab for a really cheap price... Or are there any other tabs on that website that I should get instead of that one? Or that is the best one.
it will be the best one. But are u sure you can get it for less than 180$? check google, look up all the different versions of the vega, and then look on ebay if your really cant get it cheaper...just really dont want you get screwed over...Also because a lot of chinese websites try to profit from the hard work of all the devs over at tabletroms...

There is only one ANDROID tablet in the world that I can call a good investment - EEE Pad Transformer.
You can't get cheap and good wine at the same time - cheap one will make you headache and it will be a complete waste of money.
well in my oppinon theres only one good one; the ipad 2. now dont start flaming me, but honeycomb just isnt ready yet, apps dont work together, apps dont work at all, stuff crashes, stupid memory management, crashes the lot. ive had android tabs, but now an ipad 2, and love it, it may be a lil dull, but everything just works

i almost forgot to mention.
Blackberry playbooks are for sale $199
it's a dual core processor and it can run android apps
heck, it can even be hacked to run android like the hp touchpads
if you want to spend $130-ish on some medium quality tablets, might as well spend just a little bit more to get a quality one.
or see if you can still get hold to one of those $99 hp touchpads and install android on it
99$ touchpads now go for 200-250$.. Playbook is a good one, nice solid device but does not run full android, only android apps...and thats only leaked, not official, still awaiting official release..

I totally agree with you.
So I assume that tablet is the best on their website right? How about this http://lightake.com/detail.do/sku.C...ex_A9_WIFI_3G_Tablet_PC_4GB_Black_White-46557
Is that one better then the other one?
By the way my cousin has the acer iconia tablet with Android 3.2. And I like it so I guess I would like that clone as well, would there be any difference?
the first isnt better, cause it only has 2.2 Please keep in mind the honeycomb on the tab in second link is only a beta, so far more buggy than your cousins tablet...
considered an used ipad 1? An acer iconia a100?

So I'm getting ready to dump my ipad. I personally have narrowed it down to the Acer iconia a500 and the Asus transformer. I was also maybe considering the galaxy tab 7 plus cause I like the idea of a smaller more portable tablet. What are my fellow Atrix users rocking in the tablet space?! Suggestions and comments welcome. I've been researching all day. I'd also like to be fairly certain that what I buy will get ics and/or has an unlocked bootloader. Thanks!

EDIT:
Was waay late last night when I somehow surfed to this page. I was the one confused about threads, my bad. Android Central posted a "Will my tablet get ICS?" Maybe that helps.
Wherever it belongs; I'd like to hear peoples thoughts too. Although I want to get a new motorbike before I splurge on a tablet... so I probably wont purchase for at least another 6 months.
All the same... Thoughts?
i have samsung tab 10.1 and its great
I have a transformer and it's really awesome Asus updates it really fast and there is a lot yo can do with it as well as it being cheaper then all other 10.1' tabs
Now I I don't know much about honeycomb. But it isn't all that from what I've read. The Acer has a tft screen and the transformer has an ips screen (Technically better) i think. my issue with the galaxy tabs is their adapters that are needed. Very ipad like in my opinion.

Here are the contenders:
HTC Flyer,
Galaxy Tab,
Streak 7,
Nook color,
Nook Tablet,
Kindle Fire.
Which do you think would be the best buy at the current point in time? I would mainly use the tablet as an ebook, netbook substitute i.e. a bit of multimedia and browsing.
I reckon the kindle fire or nook tablet are great buys at their prices! but i just cannot make up my mind lol also, i dont know how long it would take for development to take place on these devices...
I recommend Nook Tablet, I currently have a nook color which i've rooted and use as a miniature tablet, works really great.
The Kindle Fire is nice and all, but its extremely limited and the Nook already has development behind it.
for the best price-to-spec ratio I think the Fire and Nook beat out the Flyer, Galaxy Tab and Streak

Thanks for your input. what do you think of the streak? my problem with it is that the development section looks extremely dead and that the battery dies out quickly.
Also i am hoping for ICS on my tab in the future lol
Considering the Flyer is available for $300 at BestBuy and the Lenovo Ideapad A1 is available for $200 at Frys and other etailers...
I'd say the choice is pretty clear. The HTC Flyer is the way to go if you would like the pen support, a device with HTC Sense, and quite likely a version 3 OS upgrade (making it the only device on the list to even have potential for a stable Honeycomb build).
The Ideapad A1 is the way to go if you are looking for a budget device.
HOWEVER, I'd stay away from the Fire, no Bluetooth, no expandable storage, and an overly customized version of Android (that has not yet been rooted) and with no access to the stock Google apps out of the box are all game killers in my opinion.
htc flyer is definitely the best buy

the 7.0+ is a really sweet device, and blows the a100 out of the water, but its also a LOT pricier. nook tablet is only if you're on a tight budget, don't care about cameras, and/or really want to do some hardcore modding
a100 has a tegra 2, android 3.2, every amenity you could ask for in a a tablet (other than a full sized USB) even an option for cellular data (called the a501). carries a $299-$350 price tag.
7.0+ has a dual core exynos - better than the tegra 2 - and a better screen and UI. it's also VERY likely to get official (and unofficial) ICS updates. also has universal remote capabilities. a SIM unlocked version exists. expect to spend 6-700 dollars. Just my two cents, but IMHO i think its pretty ugly.
nook tablet has really good specs, and is by far the cheapest here ($149) - however, you'll have to do some serious modding to get a "real" android tablet, and not an ereader with a color screen. also, you'll have to live with no cameras, no cellular data option, and keep in mind there aren't any ROMs for it just yet.
final thoughts?
IMHO, its hard to justify the 7.0+ unless you have a lot of cash. The a100 is a really nice budget tablet (and i love the chassis). The nook tablet should came with a "bring your own ROM" and "some assembly required" stickers on the box, but once you do , its going to be a very capable device - not nearly as good as the others tho.

I was decided on buying a nook tablet after I seen all the quick development going on and how well it could serve as a full tablet even before rooting it, BUT THEN I seen the BF ad for bestbuy $189.99 Acer iconia A100 did a little research and well didn't sound half bad except for the battery life which I read was between 5-6 hrs of use which I think I could live with ,i would mainly use it for YouTube and surf the Web . Another bad thing was the viewing angles which I don't will bother me too much coming from an archos IT 70, well I went ahead and bought the Acer (should be getting in soon) I figured you couldn't beat the price for a honey comb tablet . I just hope I won't regret not buying the nook tablet
I Guess you should take the HTC Flyer!
I'm looking to get an android tablet and I've narrowed it down to 3. Asus transformer, Acer iconia a500 or Motorola xoom I've chose these 3 as they are fairly cheap and look set to get much cheaper as new tablets come out. The only problem I have is all reviews I read are heavily biased towards an ipad2. I would like some honest opinions from people who have actually used the devices, rooted them installed custom roms and also what apps are like running as I've read apps don't all work at full screen on 10" screens.
Cheers in advance for any advice.

The Asus Transformer Prime has the best stats, but I think you're referring to the eeePad Transformer in your list (which IMHO looks like crap from the reviews I've read).
From the 3 you listed, I'd go with the Xoom. But seriously, why not just save for a couple more months and get the Asus Transformer Prime. You'll thank yourself later!
Did look at them and they look nice but its not a matter of saving I just don't want to spend that much on what is really just a toy for me (can't see it replacing my PC). What I'm more concerned with is the report I read that a lot of apps don't scale up to the big screen. Is this true or was it just another apple fanboy slagging of anything non apple.
Sent from my Desire S using xda premium
The whole belief that honeycomb is unfriendly to apps total BS. I have had a Transformer since April and have rooted it and am running Revolver rom and even before i rooted it it was extremely slick. The home screen isn't very good but install ADW EX and you get the best homescreen experience ever. I have over 100 apps on mine and they all work great and look beautiful. You will, of coarse, find some that aren't that great but that happens everywhere.
Now as a transformer owner i can honestly recommend any android tablet to someone ( Who actually knows abut android) and you will enjoy it. I would suggest you get the Prime though because it's much better and you get more for your money. Asus is really great with updates so you shouldn't have to root it for a while
Also also on it being a toy, it can totally replace you destop, you can get the keyboard dock when you want and make it a full on ultrabook
The transformer is my favourite so far in my opinion it looks nice. I love android so its nice to know it runs nice. Thanks for letting me know about the apps it was my main concern. Now which one to chose? Hmmm.....

If you are going for first generation tablets the transformer is the way to go but with CES this week you should wait to see what comes out of there

I have a galaxy tab 10.1 and I really like it. My wife has an ipad2 and here is my take on these things. The galaxy tab is every bit as good as the ipad in many areas. internet browsing, email, etc. Where it falls behind the ipad is the apps.
My wife has Hbogo on her's, but I cant get it on mine. My wife has directv app which can watch some live tv, my same directv app doesn't have this feature. There are some great apps for the android tablets, but not nearly as many as the ipad2. The android apps don't seem to get all the attention as the ipad's.
I still like my tab a lot and I am hoping the apps will catch up.
I've owned a Xoom, Galaxy Tab 10.1, and the original Transformer.
If I had to choose between those three I think I would pick the original Transformer by Asus. Best experience I had out of the box.
Galaxy tab 10.1 was a very close second.
Now it is all about the Transformer Prime for me though. All I have to do is find one for sale.
HP Touchpad
kidding....but honestly if you can find one for ~$100 it can be quite possibly the best tablet available. Android is quite stable, even though currently its running gingerbread.
But I would wait, like someone said above CES is right around the corner, and who knows, ASUS could be like Sony and drop the price on the prime by $100. But if you are really set on a tablet now, do you really want something that is over a year old.
I would also consider that you take a look at the Tablet S with their recent price drop.
HP TouchPad
Not kidding.
Seriously, take a look at the forum for them, CM7 is coming along, CM9/ICS is progressing, and webOS is solid. At least consider it. 1.2GHz dual core, 1GB RAM, 10" screen, wireless charging dock available. The TouchPad had sold more units than any android tablet. The iPad is the only tablet that sold more units period. The cheaper than dirt price helped, but all those units out there mean there is a large userbase, and plenty of support.

I'm off to the US for easter, and have been after a tablet for a while. I was wondering what the best tablet is. Many people say the Transformer Prime is, but is that only for the keyboard? I can spend $800 or £500 so I dont really have a budget. I'd prefer android, but I'll take iOS as well.
Should I not buy one and wait?
TL;DR whats the most powerful and best quality tablet going?
Sorry if there's already a thread on this, I wanted an up to date result and I had a quick look.
iPad
u could go for an iPad or a BB Playbook.......they r better.....buh android is also good.....buh the tab procession is very slow....i wud prefer an iPad coz i hv used all......
Android: Galaxy Tab 7.7
iOS: Wait for the iPad 3
Android: ASUS Transformer Prime or if you want something cheaper ASUS Transformer, but the Prime is better and newer
iOS: Wait for the iPad 3 (which will be out in a few days)
I'd personally go for android
Also if you are a dev(or some sort of related) or wanna go deep in the system or modify/customize your OS then buy an Android Tablet since the iOS is more for businnes people
A little click to the 'Thanks!' button if I helped you
EDIT:
I'm not sure about the Transformer Prime but I guess you can find the first Transformer for less than $800

I don't think that I can say something definite, but the ASUS Tablets seem to be the best ones out there. I saw the Transformer, the Galaxy Tab(both the 7" and the 10.1"), the Acer Iconia Tab A500, and the iPads(1st and 2nd).
In my opinion Best one as hardware quality(Wifi, etc.) is the iPad. iPad also wins by its incredibly strong case. You feel it as one single piece...
The Galaxy Tabs lack the quality of the case and I don't think that the hardware is good too.
The next one that leads in the case quality is the Transformer(the 1st one, not the PRIME). I'm not sure about the hardware..
The Acer Iconia Tab's case is so bad. I mean when you take it in your hand you get the feeling of holding a toy.
About the dock...
I wouldn't buy it without the keyboard since there's another battery on the dock. And it helps in putting the tablet on a table etc. e.g when you are watching a movie and you don't wanna keep the tablet in your hand
Sorry I wrote a little too much.

Well, as far as I know you are able to use other Media Players such as MoboPlayer, Vital Player, etc... And they are both free..
You need to think carefully about what you are going to use it for. You mention video, for example, and choosing an ipad will have significant consequences* if, like me, most of your video collection is avi format gathered from here there and everywhere.
*unless you jailbreak it.
I think rather than look for the 'best tablet' - which will change from month to month, have a clear think whether you want to go down the Android or Apple route. Some questions to ask yourself:
1) What other devices I have - are you mainly PC or apple based and if the latter, are you happy with the itunes method of doing stuff? How will all these devices talk to each other?
2) What are you going to use it for?
3) What SIZE you want it to be - have a good look at the 8-9" models from Samsung - in comparsion to the ubiquitous 10" models. Sometimes bigger isn't better.
4) DEALS (check out www.hotukdeals.co.uk)with the £ so weak, prices just aren't hugely favourable in the US at the moment and several very capable tablets are being sold off with good discounts in the UK.
I will be using it to watch youtube videos, films, play games, suft the web, mostly media consumption.
I use a macbook pro, and itunes is really my only option sync wise, which Im fine with. I prefer android but think the ipad has better apps. I'd go for a large tablet as it wouldnt really leave the house.
I have owned both android and iOS products and get along with both, I rooted/jailbroke both as well
Sorry if it seems I want others to do the research but I just cant decide, the ipad seems a bit low spec'd for the price

Well, it feels to me as though the new prices on the ipad2 would suit you nicely. Plenty of hardware for the money, there, i think.
PErsonally, I just can't STAND itunes and my phone is android - so for the sake of just getting to know one of them well, I stick with with google.
