EDIT: Check Gingerbread w/ Extras... - Continuum Themes and Apps

Just figured it out if anyone wants it, ill upload it

As in no clock on the notification bar?
Sent from my SCH-I400 using XDA App

yerp, haha... I mean, we already have a clock on the ticker, why do we need another one? lol that is what i was saying

I know what you mean. I'd take it. Could I just flash it over the gb theme?
And also, is there any way you can get a 1% accurate battery icon in the notification bar? XD
Sent from my SCH-I400 using XDA App

I was looking into getting rid of the clock in he status bar and getting 1% battery incriminates but I never seemed to get it to work right. I did have a custom battery icon but all the icons I found were like 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 etc and I didn't feel like making my own

the images for 1% battery increments are in framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi in the gingerbread theme zip it looks like nitsuj17 tried to put them in there but unfortunatly didn't finish it... Wish I could be of more help XP

I got accurate mod working, I'll upload later xP

Sweet! I'll be happy to try this out. It would be nice to have more space on the notification bar.

Notification transparency

I'm looking for a cyanogen 6.1. I loved the miui notification bar but love cyan to much to leave. Not the pollen but the top bar. Anyone got it?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
transparency is a pain, as you must edit EVERY file in the status bar
Im stll yrying to completely figure this out. It appears to be in in services.jar. i believe it is java code and not xml from what i have tried.
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
someone has created a transparent theme for the inc though I know this. So I would check that out
I don't know code but I'd be willing to learn and maintain it if its possible to do it.

ICS signal bars.

I dont really know anything about developing or themes but I just need the signal bars like the one in the leaked ICS picture. Pretty much honeycomb signal bars but cyan since I use the cyanbread theme.

It can't be that hard.. I'm using eaglesblood 2.3.5. I'm guessing you have to edit something in the framework but no clue what.

If you are using a CM7 rom or one with Theme Support, why not just download a baby blue theme?
I'm using Captivated which is awesome. It has a baby blue theme. Really high quality and free from the market. The Donate version has some extra walls but the theme itself it the same on both. Haven't had an issue except some of the notification toggles aren't themed, like WiFi Sharing.
It's awesome because the battery icons look like the Galaxy line (Captivated, duh) except they have the percentage number. To get the themed battery icon, you have to DISABLE the Battery Percentage toggle in Cyanogen Mod Settings (which is kinda backward). If it is ENABLED you'll get the stock CM percentage icon, DISABLED you'll get the Themed percentage icon.
Sorry its not the information you wanted but I kinda danced around a solution and provided an alternative.

[REQUEST] Notification bar tweaks

I decided to play around with my phone and create a new layout. I'm currently using GC 1.9.1 and would like to have the battery and time icons removed, and( unless someone can point me to a text widget) have the signal indicator colored white. Attached is a screenshot of my current layout. I'm trying to go for a very simplistic text layout. If anyone can lend their assistance I will make sure there is some monetary compensation. Thanks in advance!

My sugestion would be to wait. Making the clock and battery go away will be an option kn GC 2.0. We are getting close to finishing, it wont be long now. I cant give you an exact time, as we ourselves dont know, but hang in there, great things are coming.

I'm really looking forward to 2.0. Is there a way to hide the signal strength icon as well?

Just checked. Yes it is an option.
Backup your current services.jar or you can pull it from the gummy zip just in case you want to revert but here you go, will remove the battery and clock. Just flash it in recovery, been using it for a week or so and it works fine.

Thanks mbh! That worked fine. Now I guess I gotta wait on GC 2.0 to be able to remove the signal indicator.

I hate the clock in the bar since I run a bigass time widget. I also run a battery percentage widget so I look for a non accurate battery icon, but nuking it is even better. Thanks

[Q] Replace battery icon

Hello Forum. I would like to know how do I go about changing the battery icon in the ASOP Style v3.3.1 rom to look like the Valhalla Final battery icon? I was going to just replace the framework.apk with the new icons but the battery icon in ASOP goes in 1% increments rather then 5% like Valhalla. I would appreciate any help I can get since I'm a noob at this stuff. Thanks in advance!
download rom toolbox from market...
you can change the icons there...
there's Alot of icons to choose from
--------------------------------------------------
Im willing to help others...
Feel free to pm and ask a question...
*just don't flame if I get something wrong sometimes, I'm only a HUMAN NOT AN ANDROID :-D
Oh btw.. Hit thanks if I helped
Thanks for the response. I have looked at Rom Toolbox as an option but it doesn't quite have the same battery icon I'm looking for. I was really hoping for directions to just port over the Valhalla icon myself, if that's even possible.

You might just try pushing the tweaks.apk in your ROM. It might have the battery icon you are looking for in it. I don't know. Just a though. I am suggesting this because this is where we have our status bar tweaks, including battery, on VB Final.
You can read over this to see what the tweaks are for.
Thanks I'll give it a try.

Didn't work.
Ok so I pushed the Tweak.apk to the /system/app folder but it didn't help. I think the battery icons are located in the SystemUI.apk file. Which is what i originally was going to push but there are far more battery icons in the ASOP rom then Valhalla.
So I guess what I want to know is how do I change the mod of 1% battery increments to 5% so that I can use Valhalla's icons. I still appreciate the suggestions though.

I could be wrong but just replace them. If there is no icon to show it will leave the current one until the next one with the proper name is called.
Just rename them exactly like the current ones on the 5% mark are and delete the old ones. If you use UOT that is how it would do it.
Ok so I replaced the icons and now the battery icon is a constant red bar with an exclamation point. I named all the icons accordingly and erased the extra ones but no luck. Let me know if I did something wrong, thanks.

Got it!
After many attempts and fails I finally got it to work. What I was doing wrong was not adding the stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charging.xml file to the framework apk. I just took them from the Valhalla rom. I'd like to thank everyone for the ideas and suggestions.

[MODS]CleanRom Seven (7.9.13)

I am going to update some of my mods for the new Cleanrom Seven. Make sure you guys all have a backup before using these, due to I no longer the s3 to test on. These are going to all be based on you are using the Lidroid toggles and statusbar. Flash in recovery and reboot.
Mods are
-Blue stock battery with no percent
-Blue Lidroid Toggles
-Semi-Transparent pulldown
-Remove Brightness Slider
-1% Blue Circle Battery
-1% Green Circle Battery
-1% Multi-Color Circle Battery
-Remove Lock Icon From Lock Screen
-Remove Keyboard Icon From Statusbar
more to come
Here is flashable of the stock lidroid status bar from Cleanrom seven with no mods, use this if you run into problems to return to stock without using a backup or reflashing the rom.
Installed the semi transparent pulldown, blue no percent battery and blue toggles with no problems. They look great. Thank you.

Thanks for doing this again! Any chance for a CR7 version of the "Remove full charge notification from pulldown" It always bugs me that it turns the screen on and leaves that notification when it is full.
If I could get that, and the ability to skip music tracks when the screen is off via the volume buttons, I'd be set again! I know they are both more complicated fixes(and you've only done the one, I forgot where I found the other), but I am hopeful I will find them

I will probably do the remove full charge, I will have to look into the skip tracks one.
Great stuff. Flashed the blue lidroid toggles for now and really like it over the nasty green. Thanks!
Working nicely with CR7.. Appreciate you also including the stock files..

I was looking around, and it seems AndyBones did the Skip sound track via long press modification, as it is in his ROM, and I remember he did tweaks to cleanRom before. There are all kinds of guides and walkthroughs via google to disassembling it and making the changes, but it sounded like people were still having issues, so i didnt want to attempt it.
Very nice! I've been looking for some of these mods since the kinda crap mods days!
I appreciate your mods and I love the transparent Pull down and blue themed mods (including the circle batt one).
I do have a request if you have the spare time, can you include a mod that removes the keyboard icon in the notification bar? I would definitely throw some beer money your way
If not it's no big deal. Scott made the best Rom but you make the best themes.

I reuploaded the remove brightness slider mod, I redid it to make sure it was right, had a guy say something about it earlier, but didnt give any details so if you have any trouble redownload it and try again.

These are really great mods. Just a guess, but your old flashable zip that removed backup assistant from CR6 probably won't work on CR7 either, correct?

Yes, instead of looking at a rainbow circle, just have it gradually change solid colors as it drains..

Yeah I can do that, how many colors you want and how you want it. Like a color every 10 percent.
