Just got it in the mail today. Fully charged it and ever since I took it off the charger, (4 hours ago) It's still at 100% battery. Plugged it in and still gives me a green lit LED, indicating full battery. Best buy for the phone for only $20!

It's usually not good to overcharge a battery, but I doubt anything will happen.

Chichitech Battery stats first use
So after first charge, got around 15hour of use on one charge. Sorry about the pictures being blurry.
Voice use was about 3hr 4mins
Display was 1hr 11mins
Standby and cell use was 15hr 34mins or so. http://media.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Original HTC battery lasted about the same if I didn't use the phone alot, meaning i used like 1-2 hours of voice and 1-2 hour of display. Chichitech battery would last atleast 24 hrs on idle... http://media.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/eek.gif
Recommend the battery for now, not sure if it will hold up after frequent recharges.
Battery recharged in about 2hr 50mins from 0-1% to 100%., double the time if using external charger that came with the battery since its only a 400ma charger. http://media.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/confused.gif
HTC battery recharged anywhere from 3 to 4 hours on A/C power.

I donno...between 3 and 3.5 hours roughly. Pretty fast.
I'm using stock charger that came with phone.
No light indicator to indicate charging or fully charged? I've been charging via USB and it gets to 94%, so fully charged and stops charging. That's as high as it will get...
About to go work out, going to put it on wall charger and see what happens!!
Anyone else have this problem or just me because of the usb charge?
Mine only goes upto 94% br well with the wall charger.
Apparently It's a safety feature
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Mine goes to 96% typically and I've once seen it reach 97%, it's a bug, not a safety feature. As a safety feature, to prevent it from overcharging, it's supposed to charge up to 100% then stop charging until it reaches a safety level such as 95% then resume charging again. This is just a bug in the system.
Takes me just over 3 1/2 hours from dead to fully charged.
Mine goes up to 98%. Once in a while it will go up to 99%.
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
1500mAh/700mA = 2.1h, i.e. less than 2h.
It will never (ever) reach 100% if your charger and phone is working correctly. It IS a safety feature. Eventhough the phone is connected to the charger, it still uses battery to run. The charger stops charging when it gets close to 100% and charges some more when it's safe to do so. Meanwhile the phone uses the battery to stay alive and if you unplug it between theese charging cycles it will be anything between ~93 and ~99%.
It seems like forever honestly with this phone. My Evo would charge in about an hour and a half. This phone takes easily 3.5 hours if not more.
For some reason Samsung chargers take longer to charge a phone.
If I use my HTC charger the phone charges a lot quicker
I also read this somewhere on another site

HTC chargers are typically 1000mah and samsung chargers are 700mah... So there's the difference.
what is up with this phone i went to sprint got a new battery not knowing this was an issue of not getting to 100%. i came from att and having the htc inspire kinda like the evo i guess it would fully charge in about an hour and last me about 12 hrs of actual use. the nexus s takes about 3 hours to fully charge and i get about 5 hours with 0% brightness im thinking about going back and returning the phone.

While I do not what is draining your battery so quickly, the reason for the charge time is stated in the post above yours. The charger that came with the Nexus S is a 700mAh charger, while many others (notably HTC's) use the full 1000mAh charge possible on a MicroUSB line. More power over the same amount of time = faster charging.

Mine usually stops charging between 92 and 96 percent. I thought mine took a while to charge until I read somewhere that draining the battery completely leads to faster recharging times. I didn't keep track or anything but it does SEEM to charge faster now.
hi there
is any one have my problem?
i buy a nexus s in yesterday
but the battry cant hold charge for atleast 1 day!!
it usage is about 1 - 2 % charge in every houre!
i do workinig for example 10 minutes with the phone for setting ant etc .and then i saw the 4-6 % of battry charge go down!
or sometimes the phone is puting on standby for 30-40 mintunes
with no sms or calls, but its use about 6 % of battry chage!!!!!
and for wifi and games its even faster that it!
finally for a normal usage like 10-20 sms ,15 min call ,30 min browsing phone menues and apps and 20 web,
its going to be full empty!
and its meaning it cant keep charging for atleast 1 day!
i have the SLCD one ofcourse! => I9023 XXKD1
i couldnt find any superamoled version in my country to buy,
do you think its for the slcd screen?
i didnt think that its may cause this charging resaults for me just for the screen type!!!
my charging time is about 1.5 - 2 houres to full charge, that its not acceptable for me too!
i had a diamond2 with that poor battry.but i didnt think so the NS could be the same and even worst!
i upgrated my device to gingerbread officaly, from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 by the phone, but its still no differance!
it the back of the battry i can see the 1500MA Lion , but the battry control app i my NS shows maximun 1200 MA power!?!!
can it be the truth?
do u think its battry power completly depended to rom and radio version to fix?
if that is,can any one intreduce me a good and fast and bugless rom and radio version?
thanks a lot :roze
Hey guys I just got my Anker Battery 2 days ago and it says to let it charge and discharge about 5 times before getting better results. So far so good and its getting better. I'm on my 2nd charge but just so im clear on something here...
By charge to discharge does it mean to charge to 100% (turning the phone off) then discharge to 0% ( phone shuts off) and charge to 100% again 5 times? Been doing that and im not charging in between so it's a mess when it runs out while I'm not home (happened today!)
Also: any suggestions or opinions on the product so far?
Ps:was in supposed to clear the battery stats or something?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App and HD REV. 3.0
I only do it 3 times.
As soon as I get the battery I turn it on & run it into the ground. After it's shut off from a dead battery I plug it in & let it charge with the device still off. When the charging light turns green I turn the phone on & run it into the ground again. Rinse & repeat for 3 cycles.
I love my Anker battery. I get way better battery life with it versus stock & it doesn't overheat like it the stock one does. I use one, my buddy with another Sensation does as well, & my mom with her MyTouch 4G has one too. All are outstanding!
Sounds good...i should try it too

just ordered my anker yesterday - i think the 5 times advise is the same like deleting the battery stats - more a software then hardware related thing
Sounds like your training your phone to establish effective range. Personally I would run it into the ground five times, but some people say It's okay to charge when It's under 10%. Better safe than sorry is what i think. U only have two more cycles to go, suck it up.

I have had mine for a few weeks now and it is getting me at least an extra 20% with heavy usage...
Even the new Sensation XE only gets a 1750mAh battery I have read today...still under powered imo
The XE proves that the base Sensation we all have is definately underclocked and that running at 1.5GHz is quite safe...
Hi with an anker battery do you have to take the battery out of the phone each time to charge it? I saw it came with a battery charger where you insert battery into charger.
Can it still be charged normally thru the phones micro usb port? I don't want to have to take my phone battery out at all once installed but was looking into 1900mah battery.
It can charge like the normal battery or you can use it the other way with the wall charger. I just leave mine in my phone and charge it that way. Keep in mind that the anker says 1900mah but you actually get 1740mah which you can get from the evo 3d battery and that one has a sensor unlike the anker one.
Link to the evo 3d battery. Just giving you options buddy

I have the Anker also, I'm at my seconde charging cycle now and can already say that battery life improved a lot! I'm almost 24h on battery now, 8 hours airplane mode but 16 hours WiFi/mobile data on, autosync enabled, moderate usage (screen on ~3 hours).
what should i say - still 43% juice remaining and still potential, cause you need about 5 cycles before you can really say what's going on.
Also it never got hot, did use micro-usb charging... So - Anker rulez
Do anker sells in single battery? Most offers comes with 2 battery and a charger
An example
Has anyone tried both the Anker and the Evo 3D battery and compared these two?

so it is. in my opinion the anker battery is much better than the original and i could charge it like the "normal" battery
Works very well with me.. I have it fire last 2 Weeks and it gives 25% extra time and doesn't get hot like stock one...
I charge it in my phone...
It's worth getting the two battery and charger combo. My battery life has dropped quite a bit after 3 months on the anker, but it's still better than stock by a landslide.
If you get either the anker or evo 3d battery you need a good kernel to pair it up for max performance. Don't expect to play games for 11hour straight and then complain about battery lasting only 5 hrs. I have the anker and i get at least 9 hrs of usage on heavy usage and 16 hrs on medium usage. I would at this point go with the evo 3d battery because it's directly from htc and hell it's cheap why not?!

Bat Monitor Widget defaults to 1580mah you can set it to any amount in settings. Its not a true refection of the battery capacity.
I just ordered mine but did not get the charger. Have you tried charging again to replicate the heating issue?
I guess i did something wrong with my anker.
battery monitor widget is only measuring about 1200 mAh. It measured 1540 on the stock. I'm on 6th cycle or so. For sure more than 5...
Any Idear?
Have you let it completely die out and then charged it? What's your usage like? If I play games on my phone nonstop then I'll get only 6hours but if i just text, answer a couple calls and Google search something I'll get 12-19 hours.

I would like to know this also.
Hi there, just wanted to know what is the best way to store a battery which won't be in use anymore..I bought a 1900mah Anker for my sensation off of ebay. Arrived in packaging from Amazon.. Anyways do I fully discharge the official HTC battery and put it away or charge it to 100% and then store it away. I don't want the battery to leak or get damaged as I won't be using it anymore. Any help would be appreciated
You should put it in your refrigerator as ions and chemical breaks down are slowed in constant cool temperature make. Put it in a shelve with humidity control on low.

Neither full nor empty. Notice the state of charge of the Anker when you first got it?
Yep your right mate, I took my original battery out at 52% and upon inserting the anker it was already at 60%. Said to charge it fully and let it drain. Complete charge is done. Let's see how long it lasts. I know its not even had 1 cycle yet but its been 100% for about an hour now

The Anker rules..
Hi all,
ever since i rooted my phone and flashed another ROM, i have been having this problem of very very long charging to 100%. I did attempt to calibrate the battery after flashing the ROM by the way.
First CM7, then Virtuous Inquisition, now Ordroid.
From 1% to 70% it would be quicker. Then from 71% and onward, it will take hours to move. I am using the original usb cable n adapter for charging, i can't seem to figure out what can be wrong.
Or did i calibrate the battery in a wrong way?
You charging via a power socket or a USB port in a device like a computer or something?
I think he was implying he's using the usb with wall charger
Mine takes almost 3 hours, more if i'm using it a lot while charging -- all stock with ICS
Hi, I'm on ordroid too and it takes me two to three hours to fully charge with my wall charger. I'm using a different battery, extended life Anker battery. My stock battery was so bad it took too long to charge and ran out so quickly! Are you using stock battery still or a another battery? If it's stock, you might want to consider a long lasting battery. I've found it charges faster and lasts longer. I hope this helps

It is intended to do that, i think.... I read before somewhere, too lazy to look for it though lol... It slows down the charging when its near completion to avoid battery damage.... Mine does the same thing, i give my phone atleast 7 or 8 hours from as low as 15 to 10 percent

Hi,
this not normal. My Sensation takes between 1 or 2 hours to full charge from empty.
After charging, how long you can run on battery?
When charging, is screen on or off? any application draining battery?

I think you just might have an issue with your charger. Go get a new one and see how that works out for you. If that doesnt fix it - get an anker battery

Try to use different usb cord and wall charger, if it still giving you problem, i suggest u either do a fresh install your current rom or install a different rom.
try a different wall charger if the problem is the same then u need to consider a other battery
thanks for the advices..
it just came to my mind, that before I flashed any ROMs, when i was still using stock HTC Sense 3.0, it used to only take 2-3 hrs to full charge. Now it's 6.
Doubt that, mine charges to 100 in about an hour and a half (Running HyperNonSense).
If you're using a USB charger, make sure the phone knows the power source is (AC) and not USB. USB will charge a lot slower. Dial *#*#4636#*#* for testing info and look under battery information (There's probably another spot in settings but this is my favorite).
Also use the original power adpater that came with the device, or one that came with another similar device.
Mine takes 4-8 hours to charge in any ROM. Last night it was almost 9 hours from 3% to 100%
When it reaches 60 more or less it's like 100% if you reboot. I do reboot everytime to stop the wait. I don't know if that's bad but this phone charges very slow after some percentage is reached.

This is crap, what you´re doing!
If you charge the battery, the phone doesn´t know how much capacity it got. (Could be an old battery or a bigger/smaller non-stock battery) So the device will recorgnice how fast the battery adopt the power and estimate when it slows down on a specific value when to stop and show 100%.
If you will restart the device during the loading sequence, it makes a battery calibration and thinks your on 100%. But of course it is still on 60%.
Your just fooling yourself
