Upgrate to 2.2.1 - HTC Inspire 4G

I downgraded my inspire to 2.2 and i was on 2.2.1. Is there anyway to get it back to 2.2.1 becase it keeps saying the phone is up to date.

I am presuming you rooted your phone, which downgrades the radio/rom. So now you can go and flash a custom rom, and there are many to choose from. Though there is not one best one.

I liked the features in 2.2.1 do you know a rom with similar features?

any inspire based rom like , tpc, clear droid, attn1 stock rooted.

Which Froyo 2.2 do you want? One click Odin gets you 2.1. For 2.2 there were a couple of beta releases and then all custom Roms.
I am sorry you are tired of looking, but you really should spend the time to understand how all the pieces fit together. In the limited info you have provided there are way to many "in this case" scenarios.

there is also a oneclick odin for 2.2 JI6
where is this 2.2 odin?
All the Android 2.2 ROMs for the Captivate are "custom ROMs" as 2.2 hasn't actually been released for the Captivate yet. The custom 2.2 ROMs are all either based on unfinished leaked "beta" code or 2.2 for other hardware that's been hacked-up to try and work as best it can on the Captivate.
The Captivate comes with Android 2.1... perhaps that's what you meant?

2.2 hasn't been released in US market yet. But everywhere else, 2.2 is officially released. So the question is where on earth is the OP located.

Samsung Captivate noobie help

I updated to froyo 2.2 (leaked version) on my samsung captivate, and I was wondering if there was a possible way to downgrade back to 2.1.
*The only reason im not liking froyo 2.2 at the moment i cant seem to learn our find out how to root it...
Wanted to root to rom a custom rom?
"noobie question"--> if i was to downgrade to 2.2 back to stock 2.1 and root it to have super user, i could then be able to install a custom rom? OR what would other people suggest doing?
Could someone point me in the right way with a link or two maybe, or some suggestions?

HTC Desire STOCK ROOTED 2.2 GSM ROM needed!

I was running stock rooted ROM on my HTC Desire a while back, then I first flashed Oxygen 2.0.1, but I found bugs in it, so then I flashed Cyanogen, there's no marketplace in there, and now I'm utterly bugged with the bugs of these custom ROMs. I really need to get back to stock rooted ROM
Any genuine stock ROMs which I can flash? Also, if I need a different radio, then I need a link to download that radio and the procedure to flash the radio.

[Q] stock rom vs custom rom desire hd

Hi all be nice its my first time..
i would like to know how to tell if my phone is branded (tmobile) there is no web n walk icon etc. so might need gold card.
also if i was to root my dhd with the upcoming ota release of 2.3 is it worth doing for custom roms.
what is the difference between ota rom and custom. i ask this because if the custom roms are all good then should i ignore the stock rom updates. and just use rooted.
i do like the stock rom but ive done the update at xmas and need to roll back...
ive just rooted my first android tablet, which was a risk because i wasnt sure what machine it was.. but its all good.. so doing the root shouldnt be a problem.

Gingerbread officially released for the Inspire!

Here is the announcement and link I wont be downloading however but I cant wait for a cooked version of this. I LOVE my cooked stock rom

so if you are running pure stock this update will load gingerbread over the stock froyo ?
Yes...if you are running pure stock (not rooted stock but straight up untouched) then yes, it will install GB over Froyo. If you're rooted it will still do the same thing except kill your root access also.
We dont need more then one thread about this.
