I have Samsung Galaxy S and CM7 is running on it pretty stable. Now if I wanna make a stock AOSP build based on CM7, how would i do that? Or when Google releases a next version of Android (Ice Cream Sandwich) and i wanna port it to my SGS, how would i do that? The process of building is covered on source.android.com, but i don't know how to "merge" it with CM7 kernel, radio, etc...
Sorry for my English

After the release of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich source code developers and normal users rejoiced, with hopes that their device would soon run the new software or that their applications would become more feature-rich with new APIs. However, often overlooked are the details. For those still waiting for ICS on their device I've ported the latest iteration of the stock Calculator2 app to work on Android 2.1 Eclair up to 2.3 Gingerbread.
Check out the screen shots below or give it a try yourself, the APK is available here and the source code is freely available on GitHub.

There is a 4.0.3 ICS ROM but it's in an alpha stage. It's just for testing purposes and not meant to be used as a daily driver. Since it exists, yes, it's possible to run ICS on the Legend, and it will most probably be released for it when CyanogenMod 9 comes out.
The other stable ROMs are based on the latest version of Gingerbread (2.3.7), i.e. non-official CyanogenMod 7.2.0.
Also, official CyanogenMod 7.1.0 for HTC Legend exists, and is the same version (2.3.7) but has a few less features than 7.2.0, obviously.
That is the latest stable version of Android that you can get at the moment.

Since you're new here, no problem, but next time search before posting. You could have got all the info I've given you by yourself if you had just googled 'htc legend development' or 'htc legend roms'. Beats posting a question and waiting for an answer!
Click thanks if I've helped you.
