Hi there nexus s peps have some questions I have an evo and thinking of getting a nexus s wanted to know what roms and kernels are around I been checkn and most part just see cm7 wich is a great rom but im mainly a miui user is there a miui for nexus s and onestly guys do u recomend the switch thanx for any asnwers.

You want him to run a GS2 rom on captivate?
He wanted a GS2 style rom, not a GS2 rom

I know he can't run a GS2 ROM on the Cappy, I was letting him know that it wasn't a GS2 ROM, guess I misread my b.

anyone has tried boot2gecko for galaxy SL?

someone has started it in other phones..maybe its possible also(even pre alpha) for our good ole galaxy SL?

looks interesting...! But already we have less developers so its better that we should concentrate 1st on aosp roms issues like camera vdo drivers, backlight issues etc.

Can you look into the vibrator and video recording issue in cm n miui.
Just my opinion
I agree with nailing existing issues and then moving forward.

B2G is very smooth though not fully functional I have tried it on my SGSII.

I think primarily we must go with the AOSP build and stuff.
And, On my SII B2G is barely full-funcrtioned. So, unless we have a stable build for s2 we can concentrate on other things

Of course it is, but everything in i9003 is a problem... since drivers to kernel sources.. I would first centrate in AOSP development first

Root for ICS

Hello All,
I am a current Galaxy Nexus user but I have come over here to ask a few questions in regards to the I727. My friend owns this device and has just upgraded his phone to ICS 4.0.4 (Build # IMM76D.UCLF6), and he has come to me wanting me to root his phone for him. Now just for a little background, he has never been rooted and has always run his phone stock. He updated through the Kies software. I am pretty familiar with android and the rooting process. My questions is due to the fairly recent release of ICS is there a working way to root this device?
I have briefly browsed a few of the rooting threads and to my knowledge they are only working if you are running either 2.3.5 or .6. If someone wouldn't mind shedding some light on this situation, that would be greatly appreciated.

So maybe I am a little spoiled with having the galaxy nexus. It just seems that after viewing a few of the threads and topics, that I see a lot of issues with ppl flashing and rooting this device? Now I do understand that most issues are user error..

They are more than likely user error. But you should be fine.

Also flash cm9 on his rocket as it's insanely better than stock twiz

Bacons right i havent used nexusmod but if it's half of what his gb version than it's rock stable and fast

I prefer aokp. And there is info on the "brick bug" in the link I posted earlier. I would share what my understanding of it is, but I'm not so sure myself and I don't want any misunderstanding of it. So feel free to take a look.

I am planning on porting a crap load of unique ROMS, what I am looking for is a list of all devices that have the 480x800 resolution. I will update this post with my list later tonight or tomorrow morning, but I would like to get all of your input as well. My first port will be an Xperia ROM. Lemme know what you want to see, just keep in mind that ROMS from devices with the same res are easier to port. Thanks guys!

Hi! I dont seem to get my m-horse 9500 mini 480x800 resolution screen to work well with the rom 913 that I flashed..anyone has a solution for this? original firmware wont appear anywhere in the web..
