Step 1: Go to Settings, Applications, and check download apps from unknown sources. This will enable you to download third party apps not found in Market. You can download all these apps from the Internet Browser directly on your phone.
I'd recommend getting a Dropbox account and downloading Dropbox & Astro File Manager/ES File Explorer (any other file manager should suffice) on your phones.
Here's my referral for Dropbox (You and I get extra space!):
https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTkwNzUxMDk
When you download the apk's use dropbox to store the apk files in the cloud. You will use the file manager of your choice to direct Dropbox where the file is located. This helps with having to re-install apps and avoiding having to search for them again. Dropbox is handy for a grip of other uses such as storing your class papers, pictures, presentations, documents, resume, etc.

Hi dudes
Due to some problems I dont have access to google market and I want this app in apk format. I searched xda site and also all over the web but I didn't find that. I would be so glad to see one of you have put that file here.
Thanks a lot.
I have some .pdf, and .epub e-books on my computer that i want to put on my phone and read via google books. And I kno that G-Books reads both .pdf and .epub, but I am not sure what folder I am supposed to drop the files into. I was looking through the files on my phone using Root Explorer and I cant find anything for google books. And I also opened google books and was hoping to find some type of option that lets me select files from Internal Storage and/or External SD-Card, but the only option i could find was where to store the books, which I have set to SD-Card, but I still cannot find any folder pertaining to G-Books. So Can someone help me out and tell me how i can get these books i put on my phone (I put them in my Internal Storage) to show up in G-Books.
Bump!

It looks like you can only use Google Books for content obtained via the Google store. Look in the market for a separate reader for your files.
yah google book need to buy from google services

I'm getting "not available in your country" even though I'm in the US and it's supposedly available through the Amazon app store. Anyways, if anyone could post the apk that would be great!
here for everyone
brilliant, thank you!!
Strange...I got a Epic 4G Touch and I can't see the app in mt Play Store and when I go to the online Play Store, I get the message that my device is unsupported.
However, I downloaded and installed the app with no issues from the Amazon Store.
Thats because they have disabled google play download for US customers for this app. US customers need to download from Amazon store.
Thanks WingnutStrikesBack for the apk. But it does not seem to install on my galaxy nexus. Anyone else have this issue?
Same Problem
I´m able to install it, but have force close issues everytime i try opening it it.
Readability v1.0.apk
Thank you

awesome!
I installed the app, signed up for the service, etc. How do you link pages from your phone browser to it? As far as I can tell the only way is to copy the URL and paste it into Readability which seems like way to many steps. It doesn't even show up in the list of browsers in the "Open with" menu. You need to be able to share the page with the Readability app directly from the browser. It's actually faster to just save the page directly to your SD card to read later. If I'm wrong about steps to adding pages please correct me. This seems like it could be a really useful app but at the moment it needs a ton of work IMO.

u can use the integrated browser too. but it shoudve been showing on the share list as u said, that wouldve makde it a very practical app
Sent from my Red Streak using Tapatalk
I know you can use the integrated browser, but most of the things I would save are links I'd open from Twitter, etc. and since you cant choose it as Open With it's worthless. This app looks nice but that's it. It is very poorly executed.

Does anyone have the app for the updated version that was released yesterday? I believe it is version 1.0.1.
Is anyone else annoyed when they go to look through apps? Say you open an app page and look at it but want to go back to the recent list of searched apps, but then it goes to the app store home, and you have to type in the same search again to look at the others.
Where can we suggest things to google that they actually wilk see and respond to? If they want to be at the top of their game simple stuff like this should be fixed, its such a simple thing.

Google has groups that allow you to do this.... This link should be able to help you:

Not sure if we are allowed to post live links so you need to replace the "xx" with "tt" in the URL.
