I am having lots of trouble with CM7.....I have a G2x runing Cm7.1.0.1....Everything works perfectly expect SD card....Whenever I use the camera to take a pic I can't get it...it takes the pics and then deletes it in one minute.....I can't even transfer files on the sd card cuz it gets deleted by CM7.HELP ME OUT GUYS!!!!!
That's weird, I'm on the exact same rom and don't have this problem. Does the SD card work when using in other phones or other roms or even in your computer? If it doesn't, your SD card is corrupted.

Try reflashing the ROM and see if that fixes the problem. That is usually the best fix for major problems like this. Just make sure to do some sort of back up first so you don't lose any data.

My memory card had a virus...
While the phone is dialing out or while in a conversation, it makes sounds like someone is breathing. I know it sounds weird but sometimes it sounds like a toilet flushing. I dont know if someone hacked my phone or if its a hardware/software thing. Just curious if anyone else has had this happen to them. Also im running octane 3.0 and this did not occur when i was on stock unrooted. Thanks in advance!

I had that problem with my last Galaxy s 4G and my new one. I don't recall having the problem when I was on Froyo. I had the problem just this morning when placing a call. It lasts for a second or so then goes away. I've no idea why it happens, though.
Anybody know how to fix it?

If you are on GB just flash Dr. Honks kernel and you'll have CWM and root or superoneclick 2.2 has worked for me just to root just takes aa while like 5+ mins

I'm tempted to flash another modem, like KI3, to see if it still occurs. I don't remember having the issue until I was on KJ6 but I might be mistaken.

honestly I'm on stock kj6 with KD1 modem and I haven't had that problem

Well I believe any modem is compatible but people have had a lot of success with KI3 modem ...I personally prefer KD1 it gives me good service in my area but I think it changes

Pretty much any of them. People generally use a different modem to get better data speeds in their respective location.

It could be your sim card. If the sim card has connectivity issues, this sound is known to happen. Switch out your Sim with someone else and use the phone. if the sound happens on the phone with someone else's Sim, then it is your sd card. remove the sd card and format it on your computer. Then, with the sd card still removed, do a factory reset and make a few calls with your actual sim in the phone; without adding your google account. See if it persists. place the sd card back in the phone and add your account, buy don't add apps until you've tested it out. After a day (my recommendation), add one app at a time. make some test calls because you could dl an app with a virus, which can be causing connectivity issues.
Good idea with swapping the modem. I haven't tried that one. Thanks for the suggestion.

Interesting ideas about the SIM & SD card. I'd be curious to know if/why either of those would cause that weirdness.
I'm going to try the KI3 modem a bit later. I'll report back after some testing.
Modems cant be flashed with cwm can they? if so ill do it today too... I dont have a computer atm so no odin.

Indeed they can. I flashed KI3 via CWM earlier. Check out FBis251's [Odin/CWM] Modems (10/29/2011 added KJ6 modem) page. There's a link to his CWM-flashable modems.
Stephen, yes, i confirmed with one of my friends in google. Weird, isn't it?! I tried formatting without my sd card in and the problem stopped. Idk, lol.

I always have that problem. I was thinking of starting a thread too. It's like a "WOOSH" right before the phone starts dialing.

Is there a way to recover photos that have been deleted after a reset? My niece had her phone stolen but got it back and it had been reset so all was wiped. Can astro be used to recover photos?

Get photorec free no issues works great Google it download it and use it on ur pc should find your stuff on the phone if it doesn't you can still pull them off SD card
If you need help let me know . As long as you didnt copy anything to the SD card recently all the files should be able to be saved.

Easy to use and can't mess up
. You may find all sorts of stuff . Tool comes in handy to make sure if you sell a used SD card to make sure you formated ur card so you can't pull any old deleted photos.

It says 3g, but really is so called 4g. Cm7 says what it truly is lol. Dont worry about it, its the same speeds or it should be.

I upgraded to supercm7 from android 2.3.3. Cleaned User Data, Dalvick Cash and Cash before the upgrade then flashed rom with the Supercm7. All functions seems to work. However I lost 32gb of my external SD since the external SD is showing now as \mnt\emmc. Is there any way to make the \mnt\emmc become the external_SD.
Unfortunately currently I have music, pictures and videos that were on this SD card but no longer are seen by any of the applications that saw these files in previous android OS.
Please help if you know how to fix this.

I'm running the latest eb pics and lately idk why but when I try taking a a picture the can app tells me my SD card is full and no matter how much stuff I delete it still says it. Idk what to try because my laptop was just sent back to Acer for repair so I can't back up and format it for another week or so till its sent back. And I also tried to some how have the pictures save to the phone memory but that doesn't show Me a option anywhere. What should I do???

Ive had issues with Sd full on EB Gb rom before when i had around 5gb free. Nothing i did fixed the issue, even deleting apps off. Stopped using EB and went the HFP v 2.2/2.3 and Cm7 nightly build 135 and never had the issue again. Might be a flaw in EB.
Hold out till u get ur lappy back, than bkup ur apps with titanium backup and flash a different rom to avoid reoccurences of this issue.
My 2 cents anyways.

Yea I'm holding off till I get it back. But as for another rom. I can't go to another for this phone specifically no other rom is stable and idk why. Before it got replaced I was good but now its a mystery

Hellfire pheniox v 2.2 and 2.3 are more stable than that EB rom in my own testing.
