Finally direct carrier billing - HTC Inspire 4G

Just noticed today while using the new market that you can add At&t direct carrier billing as an option to buy apps over the air. Notice this will only work if you turn off WiFi & turn on mobile data. Also only works when buying apps that are based on U.S. currency, not ones that are converted.

I was able to do it on the old market but you couldn't charge apps to your bill that were in a foreign currency. Is it still the same on the new market?

I could do it before if I used a desire hd based Rom but not if I used an inspire based Rom & yes not if in foreign currency

could you charge it to a prepaid account?

What carrier can I take my sensation to?

I've been with TMO US for a long time now and want to change. I'm on a month to month plan and paid for my sensation out of pocket and don't want to have to buy another phone out of pocket again.
So, I do I have any options? Or is is the sensation TMO US only?
Thanks for your help!
If you unlock the sim you can go to AT&T, but you won't get 4G I don't think. Read up on the HTC website about the phone and the frequencies it uses, then Google the frequencies that AT&T uses. That will be your best source of info as I am at work and can't look it up and give you links.
Hope this helped.

The only other carrier that uses AWS in the US from my knowledge is Cincinnati Bell.
Yeah...only plausible option is probably,ATT, but you'll only get Edge speeds...I'd stick with TMO.
You can use simple mobile, they buy from tmobile.

I noticed on mine there is an option somewhere to change networks to att. It said it wasn't registered. Then I clicked back on tmo and it was fine. Don't know if it helps. You never know.
Edit
It is under wireless and networks then mobile networks then network operators.

Pre paid phone

So my parents decided they don't want to pay the tmobile bill.... So my phone is shut off :'(
I was wondering what's the best alternative plan I'm looking for something real cheap like 20$ a month I'm thinking a pre paid plan or something
My phones unlocked so I can use any sim. Tmobile has horrible service where I live. I'm planning on just using my sensation I don't need 4g, Data would be nice though.
So what do you guys think would be the best option for me?

How do I get on 3G only?

This is for my friend's phone. I have a RAZR Maxx and I use the phone info app to toggle to using 3G only. Can I use this app for the HTC Sensation also? What's the network setting I should change it to? My friend is on Wi-Fi mostly and when it's turned off the phone goes to 4G. How do we get it on 3G only?

the "4G" is acutally HSPA+ which is a faster 3G so it is technically on 3G even though it says 4G
So those are the only options huh? That sucks cause my friend's data cap on T-Mobile is 200MB then the throttling begins. I thought 2Gigs sucked, but 200MB is way worst! Lol

You can lock on different signals by going to *#*#4636#*#*. I think this is what voir looking for. Once the menu pops up to to phone information, you change your signal through there by pressing on current signal, another menu will pop. Up then and you can lock on a different signal through there . Hope this helps!

No need to use the complicated dialer. You can choose 3G only, 2G only or switch between the two from the network settings. Provided you're using sense of course.
I just got the news T-Mobile is suppose to go to real unlimited data (NO Throttling) starting Sept. 5?

Yeah 200mb is terrible! I guess the only way to save data would be to disable internet altogether and only enable it when he really needs it

Untick everthing, still get charge from voda
R u sending mms or receiving
NO
Okay here's the deal: American service providers don't allow you to not get data plan with your phone. If you simply move a SIM from a non-data phone to a smart phone like the HOX they'll automatically add data to your plan.

I am in Australia, my htc sensational xl has the option to turn off the mobile network. while cm does not has the option/
Not sure what it's like there then. Just an aside (not topic related), are you sure you're on a One XL and not the international version then?

My one is telstra one xl

Specifically for I4G

I hope I didn't throw some users off with the title to this thread..I have a question though..I'm using at&t gophone service. I actually just got the activation sim card today. My question is what are the best APN settings for the inspire 4g ?

Download tweakker from the market along with apn backup and restore. Make a backup of ur current apn then run tweaker. Had nothing but good things happen with that including faster up and down speeds.
