they actually are hosted through youtube and i dont believe they have subtitles, sorry, also due to drm and licencing the video player doesnt install on rooted phones, if you have root you will need to unroot or use the web market to view the movies. on a computer you can log into gmail and enter http://market.android.com/movies. on the phone they can be played in the web browser by first changing the useragent string to desktop mode by going into the adress bar and typing about:useragent and go to that adress. make sure it doesnt try to run a search. a popup will come up with a list of useragent options, tick the one labeled desktop and then go to http://market.android.com/movies you may need to log into gmail for this as well.
Has anyone watched a movie on here? I'm wondering if we can use our hdmi-out.

I've tried searching for anything on this topic and found nothing. I came from the Dinc and have noticed that the TB doesn't have a "TV out" option. Or at least I haven't been able to find it. What's the scoop on this?
Thanks
i believe either with a dock station or a DLNA ready device

Does that give you full remote display, or just let you play video/music files? As I understand it, DLNA only gives you access to your video/music files and not full remote display (so no Netflix, for example).
I have not checked out for android story is i would get movies "back them up with dvdfab...100.00 or less by the way".had orb installed watching pc folders my "back ups were converted to wma at the time" you have to do some run thrus before you go somewhere.do a system restore check point.so you goto orb download lastest software install do the set up tv card program schedule tv box setup or sat box run thru all that go online sync pc to orb firewall might need to tweak hell stumble thru it i did online settings find send text to phone hit hyper link on phone save it to bookmarks ..long story long everything setup right it will stream movies internet tv right to your phone

is there a way to trick websites to think that you are using your computer and not your android. for example when you goto megavideo it takes you to some jobo games web. or when you goto sidereel.com to watch tv shows it only shows you links that you have to pay to watch while when you access it using computer it lets you surf megavideo and videobb links (free).
is there a way to fix this?
Try the skyfire browser available from the market. It handles in-browser video very well.
One great browser which allows you to browse the full desktop versions of sites is called Miren Browser, in the market. It's free and has a pretty nice interface.
I use dolphin hd... It gives you an option to switch between desktop and mobile.

Thanks guys i have dolphin hd browser but i have the same prob.
Ill try others see if that helps
EDIT:
Miren browser worked the best. With my prob. Better then skyfire and dolphin hd.
Ps. Opera mini is the fastest browser, but there is no exit button and will run in the back eating your ram.

+1. It's really nice that you can set the user agent.
Are there any mods or apps that allow you to select which programs you would like to run in the background?
I like using dolphin hd browser to listen to music through different websites but when my phone goes to sleep it cuts them off from playing.
any ideas?
thanks
chris
are you sure the website doesn't have an app?
sorry about the not so good reply.

First. This thread needs to be in general.
2nd. It makes more sense to use the android app associated with the website for streaming media. There are multiple apps that support shoutcast. There is the digitally imported app for streaming techno and trance. There is also slacker and Pandora. All of these Apps will stream audio while phone is in sleep mode.

I so use to going on the Market app that I forgot sometimes you need to go to the amazon app store to find what you are looking for. i found the Flixster app in there
You could also try this : http://www.amazon.com/Fandango-Inc-Movies-Times-Tickets/dp/B004I125GO/

hi,
I am trying to view hulu.com website and watch the free streaming media. I dont want the hulu plus stuff.
as i understand it.. "Flash Video Browser" can make it work.. by fooling the service that i am on a PC.
but this app is no longer on the market.
does anyone still have this apk? does it still work?
Just use any web browser that supports flash and has a desktop agent like Firefox or Naked browser. But I doubt if we can watch videos on Hulu.com for free.

I bought flash video browser when I rooted my nook tablet. It still works for free shows on Hulu. I don't know where to get the apk though. When the blank while screen pops up I press the back Burton and it plays the show I chose.
