[Q] Stuck unable to boot after applying wifi fix - HTC Desire S

Hi,would appreciate some pointers from experienced folk:
My Saga is s-off, flashed with Virtuous Unity 1.27.0 using ROM Manager's Clockwork Recovery installation.
I added the Fitted ROSIE v.1.0 version from here.
Then tried to add the wifi fix from here (saga_wifi_fix_1.28.401.1_v3.zip), both using ROM Manager.
BUT, the reboot got stuck at the white HTC screen.
I pulled the battery after 10 minutes and restored the backed-up version of the rom prior to the two add-ons, using the ClockworkMOD Recovery that ROM Manager installed, but now the phone gets stuck in a reboot cycle - i.e. vibrates, shows the white HTC screen, switches off, reboots, shows the white screen etc.
Anybody got any suggestions?
Thanks

Boot into recovery, try wipe cache and dalvik cache, reboot.
If that doesn't work do a fullwipe, reflash the rom, flash the fix and reboot

Full wipe and re-flashing the ROM was the only way I could get it going again

Ahh you should have waited. I had the same issue and I was able to log in by "unfixing" the fix.

I installed the FITTED ROSIE and the same happened to me......

[Q] Boot loop?

Well i have been using the cm7 nightlies with no problem. Today i decided to flash the RC1 since im sick of having to flash everyday. So i flashed the rom with rom manager and my phone was stuck in a boot loop.
So i had to do a battery pull and then restore the rom i had just backed up. After restoring i reboot the phone and am stuck in a boot loop again. I did another battery pull did a full data wipe, wiped cache and dalvik cache. And reinstalled the nightly 41 and am no longer in a boot loop.
So i tried to install RC1 again and everything was fine after flashing rom and gapps. i thought everything was fine so i rebooted into recovery to flash the 1.2.2 BFS Netarchy kernel. Before flashing i wiped cache, and dalvik cache. And of course now im stuck into a boot loop again. Has anyone else experienced this problem? i believe i am doing everything right. This is the first time i have ever experienced this problem.

try flashing the kernel without wiping the dalvik or cache.
personal, i dont use or recommend using rom manager, as it creates issues of its own. i download everything myself and flash in recovery without rom managers aid.
I'm trying that now. Thanks for the quick reply. I have even tried installing the rom without using rom manager and it still did the same thing to me. Hopefully this works.

[Q] Stuck in a loop, please help me here.

I rooted my G2 via the instructions and download in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928160
I did not flash the hboot.
Phone seemed to work fine after that. But then I downloaded ClockWorkMod Rom Manager and downloaded CM7. When I installed it, my phone comes up to the boot screen, runs for a second, then reboots.... it just keeps rebooting.
Using the factory reset, I can get back into the recovery, so I tried to install CM6.1 from my sd card, but the exact same thing happens (endless boot screen reboots).
What can I do? Thank you for any help.
Fixed.
All I had to do was clear the dalvik cache.

[Q] Stuck at ClockWorkMod screen after restoring a back up

Hi,
I have unlocked my bootloader(HBOOT 2.00.0002) using htcdev.com official method (still S-ON) and installed clockwork mod recovery v 5.0.2.0. Then I made a back up, I was running the stock rom (2.10.401.8). Everything went Ok.
Afer trying a couple of roms and getting some crashes, I decide to go back to my stock rom. Go to recovery, make the 3 wipes and restore. CWM says everything is ok. But after rebooting, every single time, the HTC white logo displays and them it goes to the clockworkmod screen.
Is there any extra step to restore a back up beeing s-on?
Flash the original kernel? I assume this still needs to be done even with a CWM backup?

After several tries it finally worked by flashing the original boot.img. Thanks!
I'm having the same problem again..
I flashed the ICS base rom (found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859700) and its boot.img through clockworkmod. My desire s is unlocked via htcdev, so its S-On, which means the new radio was not flashed, right?
So I want to go back to my gingerbread stock rom back up ((2.10.401.8). Boot into recovery, wipe dalvik cache, wipe cache and wipe data, then restore the back up. Reboot into fastboot and flash boot.img extracted from the back up. Everything seems to be ok,but after rebooting its stuck at the htc white logo, and I've go through the whole proces 3 times now.
Am I doing something wrong or missing some step?
Thanks a lot!

HTC One S awkward booting

I recently installed cm 10.2 on my HTC One S, and I am absolutely loving the rom. However, every time I have to start up my phone I would have to hold the power button until the lights on the buttons at the bottom of the phone stop blinking. After that, it starts booting up like normal. Does anyone know any possible fixes for this?
Did you performed a FULL wipe? Try to flash the kernel first and then install the rom (get latest nightly).
P.S. Do the full wipe before flashing a kernel.
I flashed the boot.img, and then I performed the full wipe. After that I installed the rom, and I performed another full wipe to install gapps.
Edit: I probably should have wiped before I flashed boot.img. I will try it out and see what happens!
Wiping before flashing the boot.img. fixed my problem. Thanks a ton!

[Q] need help

I have an htc inspire 4g rooted
they call it desire hd now
i have andriod version 4.0.4.0.4.0.4
baseband version 12.69c.60.29v 26.09.13.17. m
kernel version 2.6.35.14.aosp X -cottoncandy
my problem is i have tried several times to install several roms but no luck getting them to install it goes to the white htc screen then goes to a black screen and just sets there
I use team win as the rooting software i go into recovery then i go into wipe then after that is done i go to
swipe to factory reset. wipe daivik cache then the cache and i select wipe data before i do the factory reset within team win
i go to the install i use the rom off of my sd card then it says flash zip successfull then it starts to reboot and goes past white htc screen but doesnt do anything else so what im i doing wrong
also the phone does a restart on its on when im on the internet freezes then reboots
it is also on s-on
Since it's S-On you need to flash the ROM zip's boot.img from fastboot after each time you flash a ROM.
