[Q] Unread SMS and G-mail counter? Black Ice Rom - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

So i was running the Bionix Frost rom and i was able to make it show me how many unread SMS and g-mail messages i had on top of the icons. Not in the notification bar.
Now i moved onto Black Ice and i can't for the life of me find the settings for this option.
anyone have any way of making this happen again? Or maybe Krylon could see this and let me know if it isn't possible?

Its launcher pro. You need to go into the launcher pro preference

[Q] Go SMS Pro + LauncherPro

Hello there. I was playing around with the icons in the dock for LauncherPro and stuck Go SMS there. Is there any way to make it display an unread count much the same way the stock messaging app does?
HTC Thunderbolt running BAMF Remix 1.6.3, fyi.

Go launcher email notification

With the stock launcher (tw launcher) the stock email program icon will overlay the number of new items. This does not happen in go launcher. How do i get the icon to show # of new messages?

I've since tried a few of the other launchers and found that notifications are lacking in them.
Does anyone know if there is a way to get any of the launchers to display notifications the same way as the default launcher? I like seeing the red number on the email icon.
Also is there a way to get the voicemail icon to display the number in any launcher including stock? I hate having to watch the notification bar for an increase in the number (up from 3) indicating that i need to drop the bar to see what additional notifications are available.

Have you tried the Go Notification plugin for Go Launcher. I don't use it, but it sounds like what you are looking for.
I hadnt. I'll have to give it a try as I did like go launcher a lot

The go launcher notification plug-in is what i'm lookin for except that it needs notifications for email, phone calls, voice mail... So disapointing.

[Q] new to cm10.1 and have a question

So I rooted my Verizon s3 to cm 10.1, and so far I LOVE it! But I want to be able to disable the status bar. The issue I'm having is that I won't be able to see if I have a text message or anything. I've looked everywhere for and answer and haven't been able to find one. Is there a notification like on the stock where it will show me how many messages I have on the icon itself, not just in the status bar? I've looked everywhere in the settings too but can't find anything. Thank you.

Stock launcher does not contain unread counts on icons. Need to use a third party launcher.
Grab Nova launcher and the Telsa unread plugin.

Thanks guys. I just wanted to get rid of my status bar but still know when I receive a message. Should have simplified the question. Sorry.
You could get rid of the status bar for specific apps using Xposed framework and the App Settings module. You could even use Floating Notifications to have notifications in a Halo-esque manner.

Dude that's exactly what I suggested. You could hide the status bar. There is a setting for that in Nova launcher settings. Then using the telsa unread plugin you would get message counts and missed call counts on the icon itself

Unread Message Count? (SMS & Email)

I've noticed that there is no unread message count on the Google Hangouts and stock email app icon. Any way to get this? Or do I have to use a different app.
I'm having the same problem. No unread count on gmail or hangouts. No LED notification either.
I don't recall the there ever being unread counts in stock android. Have to use third party launcher like Nova.

Notifyer+ should work. Issues with it is i don't think it lines up with the new Google Experience Launcher yet. If you are using another launcher you can adjust the height and size of the icon and title to try and match the others on the screen. Works great on most launchers, but haven't tried it on the N5 yet.

[Q] Looking for a notification app for 4.4.1

So have been using nova launcher with tesla unread. Nova launcher isnt fully ready for kitkat so have just been using stock launcher on my N5. I really miss having an unread count by gmail and now since hangouts is used for texts I would like an unread count there too.
I tried "missed it!" with no luck... unsure on what else might be kitkat compatible.
If someone could give me some suggestions I would appreciate it.

Same here, was just about to start the very same thread lol
I would like to get nice clear notifications on my icon for things like Facebook, Hangouts, individual email accounts, missed calls etc.
Not found anything that really works.
