Is it possible to remove it with rw in root explorer?

I'm also interested in this.
On my previous phones, all that was needed was to replace bootanimation.zip in /system/media
When I shelled into my Sensation, I couldn't find the file in that directory. Did I miss something?

I wanna know this too ...

Whoops, didn't see your response until just now, *aerox90
Thanks a lot man, I'll poke around some more in there!

I think this will only work if you have S-OFF.

any chance someone would be willing to convert these over for the S4G?
Just replace the fusion.apk in your roms /system/app .......works for me!

wow that was insanely simple, thank you.
Sounds really easy but it didn't work for me. I tried rebooting, changing permissions etc, no luck?

great thread that shows you how to make your own lockring, very easy to follow, all thanx to viper...
I turned my lockring off, to me its really annoying to have to press a button just to swipe a ring to get to the screen, too many steps

Might need to be resigned? You could disable signature check though.

Time warner cable app..

The new version supports tv streaming.. but checks for root before you can use.. I've ready several forums where a XDA user bypass the check for root..but his links are down and hasn't replied to messages..so my question is..can someone look into it and see if thru can do the same

All you have to do is rename the superuser.apk file to ultrauser or whatever you want to call it with something like root explorer.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G XE with Beats Audio using xda premium
If you are using supersu then there is an option to temp disable root.I did it for sky go while on holiday and it worked a treat,I believe it checks for binary files and NOT the superuser.apk
Neither of those work for their app.. there's a whole post about in the galaxy nexus forums about everything that's been done to get the app to work..they have all the features working except you still have to be on your home network to view live tv but they are working on that too.. but the links to download the apk are down

Cant you just deny it root access and it'll think you're unrooted? Seems like a load of BS to me.

Boot Animations

Just wondering if anyone is smart/talented enough (lord knows I'm not) to make a new boot up/down animation.
What I'd like to see is the AT&T animation totally gone, replaced with a nice black screen logo with beats logo.
I'd assume a new black splash image I think they are called too...
Any takers??
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Here you go.
Copy both to /system/customize/resource and change permissions using root explorer or ES file explorer. Reboot and enjoy.
Also, you can find some other great boot animations formatted for the One X here. Just make sure you rename the bootanimation.zip to ATT_bootanimation.zip
Thanks for posting that. Exactly what I was looking for!
Awesome man... Many thanks... Any thoughts on replacing the bright first HTC splash screen??

I think that might be kernel/bootloader related but I could be wrong. Seems like on my Infuse it was a kernel thing if I remember right.

Does the Rom have to be de-odexed to use this? Keep trying to copy using root browser and will not let me
Edit: figured it out thanks

Also forgot to mention this is for AT&T. If you have the Rogers version, I think you rename them to hTC_bootup_one.zip. Someone with a Rogers phone might have to verify.

hTC_bootup_one.zip is also the name you need to use if you debranded your phone using these steps here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1634171
I just installed some bootanimations and can confirm that it works.

So can that not be flashed since bootloaders aren't unlocked... I remember my inspire could be flashed by just putting a ph39 zip on the sd, I thought??

You can't flash through cwm...You just kinda plop the bootanimation into the correct folder (with the correct filename) and it works.
I'm talking about the splash screen...

Make sure to rename the bootanimation.zip to ATT_bootanimation.zip or to hTC_bootup_one.zip depending on which version phone you have. Then copy to /system/customize/resource

Where is located "all apps" icon

Can someone please tell me where is "all apps" icon located? I want to replace it, I've searched in Rosie.apk but the one in Rosie.apk isn't the right one. And I don't want to install launchers, so if you don't know where is located don't tell me to change it with some launcher.

Anyone?

You should be rooted to do the change... So if you are rooted then follow this
Install ES file explorer.. Then open it.. Go to settings of it.. And check all the things present in root settings sub section..
Then come back..
Then. Default files it shows are of
/sdcard... So press up button once
Then go to /system/apps
There you will find the Rosie.apk

I checked the thread..and I downloaded some zip file which removes app drawer icon. But how can I put my own icon?
If it's about editing .m10 files, then which file exactly?

From that thread it looks like its not really possible to edit .m10 files (regardless of where they are). Also, I'm not really a fan of Sense and don't have any Sense ROM installed so I can't dig anything further.
