When I launch Angry Birds Seasons > Click on Summer Picnic > and click on level 1, I get the cool animation, then loading, then the program closes. I do not have this issue with any other levels of any version of angry Birds and was wondering if anyone else had the issue? I have tried removing and reinstalling with no cussess and have e-mailed Roxio but no reply.
Phone : T-Mobile LG G2X
Rooted : Yes
The following all work on my phone
Tried running normall and off SD Card - same result
Angry Birds
Poached Eggs, Mighty Hoax, Danger Above, The Big Setup, Ham Em High, Mine and Dine
Angry Birds Seasons
Easter Eggs, Go Green, Hogs and Kisses, Sessons Greetings, Trick or Treat
Angry Birds Rio
Smugglersd Den, Jungle Escape, Beach Volley, Carnival Upheaval
This happens to me if I have no internet connection, or my internet connection is too slow (ie, 2G).
I've had that issue with several levels of picnic. First with Bionix2, and now, several levels into it, with the stock rom.
Up unitl now, I was able to keep trying it, and eventually it'll play (since I went back to stock). Now, I'm stuck at level 16. It does as you describe.

Has anyone been able to find any emulator that will play Golden Sun 2? I was able to beat Golden Sun on GameBoid, with an occasional glitch. In those cases I'd have to use VBA to pass those parts. With Golden Sun 2, I transfered my characters on VBA with link cable and created a save file. Golden Sun 2 won't even start up correctly on GameBoid, much less work correctly during gameplay. Does anyone know any emulator that actually plays it right? Or at least some kind of a fix?
The Lost Age isn't the second one, just a continuation of the story of the first one (if you transfer your save data).
As for the emulator, it's something that has to be fixed in the emulator itself. As far as I know, none of the GBA emulators play it properly. Mine resets during the intro continuously.
For those who care, I spoke to the developer and he said he is working on a fix.
Okay, here's the deal. I started to play Angry Birds as soon as it came out and have played it for hours and hours and hours. Anyway, my phone was messing up and Verizon replaced it. And now, you guessed it, all my progress is gone.
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
I've been able to restore all my other game progress, I just can't find where the Angry Birds data is stored at. Anyone know how I can get my progress back? I'm desperate here!
Oh yeah, I still have my old phone and have searched it for "angry", "birds" and "rovio" and can't find anything. I've used Astro and connected it to my computer to search. I don't want to send it back before I get my progress.
Just a little thing I figured out that can give you the ability to save the progress of ANY game.
This can be helpful if you are playing games like where you are about to do this level that is very hard and you want the ability to restart the battle if you die and it's game over.
STEPS:
1. Make sure you have Titanium Backup installed.
2. Where ever you want to restart at, go to that spot or stage or whatever in the game, and then save the game and exit.
3. Go to Titanium Backup, go to the backup/restore tab at the top, go to your game, and click it and press "backup".
4. Then go to your game, and either beat the boss or stage or win the poker game or whatever or lose everything and die.
5. If you died, you can go back to Titanium Backup, go to the same tab and click on the game, and press "restore" data only. Congrats, you get another chance at doing the stage again!
6. If you did beat the stage, you can make another back up!
+1 Thx if this saved you time on your games!
What's the point in saving your game, making a titanium backup, and then restoring the data?
Why can't you just load from your save point again? That's pretty much the idea behind save points....
As one example, this is a great option for Gun Bros, as far as shopping for which Guns you want.
In the game's Store, you get to see the weapons' stats, but the only way to see it in actual action is to buy the thing outright and then start using it.
Right now, there's no option to sell anything you've already bought, which is a pretty big frustration especially later in the game when the decent weapons take a pretty long time to get to because you have to build up the money...So if you buy a weapon and end up wishing you got the other one, then you're SOL.
This Saving and restoring fixes that.
Tonnes of games don't design savepoints.
For example, in "World Series of Poker Holdem", I am playing in the final table of the WOSP tournament. I have pocket Aces, and this guy goes all in. If I call and lose the hand, I will be knocked out, and the $250k I put in will be gone.
Therefore, I save the game, call his all-in, and if I lose, I can restore the game and NOT call his all in.
kind of pointless
I thought that was the point of games.......... To play them

Well yeah, but some people cheat before the beat it and some people cheat after the beat it. All in all, it doesn't matter. He is just telling us how there is a loophole with games on Android. That's all.

Probably the same kind of folks that buy a game, the walkthrough, and find all of the cheat codes before even starting.
I've given myself more gold in games before to decrease the PAIN of moving through a game, and a few I've bumped up Experience to reduce the tedious "go outside town, fight until you're nearly dead, come back and rest, repeat until you're level X" but otherwise, it's no fun if you cheat every step of the way.
So I play alot of games on my xoom and wasn't really worried about losing the data for them. Games such as Bakery story Restaurant Story and Paradise island I didnt want to lose data. I looked it up and it said bakery story and restaurant story save the data on the phone even with a restart it would still be on there. When I got my xoom running though it was GONE! I just spent $7 for coins or whatever they are on paradise island and now its gone! wth suggestions?
Edit: Might have to do with my problem but on the online market it now says VERIZON Xoom and I have the wifi version.
not sure what you can do now..... but get titanium backup so this wont happen again. It will let u back all data in the event this happens you can just restore
Paradise Island help
I haven't played the other games mentioned, but I do have Paradise Island. I know it doesn't help now, but in the future if you have root, you can copy your saves out of /data/data/com.seventeenbullets.android.island/files. Another thing that you can do now to get back to where you were is to set up the things that you want on your island, then go to settings and change the date to one day ahead and submit and then go back to the game. It will cause a force close if you are suppose to get a reward for coming back multiple days in a row on that day. Just reopen the game, collect your income, make your tweaks and repeat. Once you think you have enough money or island pia (whatever they are called, you can start getting these when you buy a business center or the bank) you can change your date back to the current date (make sure all buildings are repaired before you do this). You will then notice that the time until collect on things are superlong. Just send each building to the storage and then replace it back down where you want it. The timer will start over. The only thing is that you will not get the multi day rewards again until you make it back to the date you stopped at originally.
Another hint is that moving plants that are already on your land around counts as moving buildings for the achievement, so you can get a loarge some of money from doing that with no money involved until you get all levels of the acheivement. Hope some of this info/cheats help.
Paradise Island is the one game I had invested time in and I lost all of it after 3.1 . Thats with a Titanium Backup. I can restore my backup but it FCs every time I run the game.
Fresh market install works, but my save is gone.
I can't for the life of me find the directory on the Xoom where PI is installed....

same here!
I just posted a new game to the Market. You can snag it here:

Let me know what you think!
Hey,
I tried your game. It worked good for me for the most part.
First run: Black screen. The game just failed to load. I just used the task manager to kill it and restarted it.
Second run: Loaded just fine. I start the game and just when the floor is gone the game freezes up and the next thing I see is a game over screen.
I retried the game and it worked properly every time after that. The game is nice and simple but kind of hard (or maybe I'm just bad at it ).
I find the flashing, scaling text a bit annoying and distracting, especially right at the start when you are being given the instructions. Maybe thats just me.
What phone and version of Android are you running? I haven't seen those bugs on any of my test setups and would love to find out what happened.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy 3 i5801, running Android 2.2
I'll play the game and try to see if I can reproduce those bugs again.
The game over incident was mostly cause of the games update loop blocking on something like a GC operation and hence maybe causing your "dt" variable to grow a bit too much and then consequently causing a huge update. Just a guess...
