How can i make browsing on the STOCK browser be more smooth, orietation/ pinch to zoom, watch flash content easier, and mostly scroll~
Any particular reason why you want to stick with the stock browser so bad? I've had much better luck with Firefox and Opera
mostly because its the one im most comfortable with and like it plays flash the best... but im thinking bout trying those browsers out
i know this is old thread but skyfire is a good browser to use
I've tried them all.. I like ninesky

I like Miren... basically the MIUI browser.
I prefer stock over everything. Maybe the KI3 leak today will be better.
I am a huge fan of uc browser. Anyone else tried it?
Ninesky, boat, or dolphin hd! All free on market!

Which of these browsers lets you watch flash videos in full screen? I've tried dolphin mini and ninesky, but I can only watch them in-page or via an outside app (ie moboplayer).

To make your stock browser really awesome:
Open browser
Type in url section: about:debug
It should refresh and go to homepage
Then go into settings and now you should see a few more options
Go ahead make sure enable plugins is always on
This should make the stock browser amazing

Dolphin HD
Dsexton once again... so amazing and i tried all those browsers so thanks for suggesting all those browser <3
I've enjoyed using Opera Mini myself. Now if we could only get adblock support for firefox, I'd switch in a second.
My stock browser is running smooth with Ravers Beautiful ROM

I still find myself using opera mini more often than not. Could be because I just got so used to it with winmo. But out of the others available, I really like xscope (paid ver) Its very fast and I love all the options and extras, like the task manager and themes.
just curious, anybody whos used both dolphin and xscope, which is better in your opinion?

I use dolphin hd also. Its quick n easy to use

What browsers has best streaming support? I read that skyfire converts on the fly, but didn't seem to work for me.
I'm really liking xscope as far as the interface goes, i tried Dolphin HD as well as the dolphin HD 2 beta, but it just seems to me that xscope's interface is more feature rich
I really like the native HTC one. It's faster than the others. I think.... On my Blackberry I used Opera Mini, but here the HTC is faster. Not perfect though. Some input text boxes don't work, so I have to use Opera for that.

XScope is great.. probably moves about twice as fast for most lookups compared to the stock browser.
i tested opera, steel, dolphin, dolphin hd, and xscope. been using xscope RELIGIOUSLY since 1.5 on my moment, now glad to have it on my evo. fastest one, chrome style setup, and themes are a bonus
Running the froyo rom and having tried the paid version of xcsope (it looks hideous even with the themes I've found ) skyfire, and Dolphin HD i find the stock browser to be the best overall, the only thing thats driving me nuts at the moment is not being able to easily change the browser id to desktop without digging into about:debug every restart and not being able to go full screen.
I love the zoom. I hate the web browser inertia scrolling. How do I improve it? It doesn't scroll as quickly or fast.

+1. Seems like this should be an easy framework-res mod but I really have no idea.
use a different browser? I've heard opera plays nice with the xoom, but no flash.. so you have to go back and forth if you will be viewing any flash content.
Hi
I am unable to watch flash videos through browser on infuse. It says a plugin is required and when i click that it takes to adobe flash page. But flash page mentions that this OS is not supported for flash. I have installed flash 10.3 from market but still doesnt work. Any help?
Thanks
open the browser, hit menu>more>settings>enable plugins>always on
edit:
if that doesnt work look into the "hulu fix" found in the forums for other devices. it may not be recognising the build of the flash plugin, the hulu fix plugin is modified to fake the windows plugin, if it doesnt want to play with the browser, type "about:useragent" (no quotations) into the address bar and set it to desktop, you may also have to clear cookies to get it to work on sites like hulu that intentionally block mobile devices for licence reasons.
if the browser is sluggish then try opera mobile browser, stock android browser can be sluggish on the hummingbird with 2.2. it is way better with gingerbread, unfortunately that will have to wait for a good kernel dev to port over.

Because you are using stock browser, try opera, not the mini okay.
Reason why I like opera browser, if you set flash on demand, when you click the okay on one flash it only plays that single flash that you click, while dolphin and stock browser set "on demand" if you click one flash, every flash on the web page plays, that is why it is sluggish.

I use stock browser and love it, no lag with flash on. Only downside is that 720p flash videos are slow as hell. 360p videos work the best with great frame rates.
is there a way to trick websites to think that you are using your computer and not your android. for example when you goto megavideo it takes you to some jobo games web. or when you goto sidereel.com to watch tv shows it only shows you links that you have to pay to watch while when you access it using computer it lets you surf megavideo and videobb links (free).
is there a way to fix this?
Try the skyfire browser available from the market. It handles in-browser video very well.
One great browser which allows you to browse the full desktop versions of sites is called Miren Browser, in the market. It's free and has a pretty nice interface.
I use dolphin hd... It gives you an option to switch between desktop and mobile.

Thanks guys i have dolphin hd browser but i have the same prob.
Ill try others see if that helps
EDIT:
Miren browser worked the best. With my prob. Better then skyfire and dolphin hd.
Ps. Opera mini is the fastest browser, but there is no exit button and will run in the back eating your ram.

I still use skyfire 4.0 it does pretty good for the most part. Im gonna give puffin a try. Thanks
Stock browser seems to play nicer with flash videos and using full screen.
Dolphin and dolphin Jet pack both gave me errors.
Will test on Firefox and chrome.
Chrome - working nicely too, faster than stock.
Firefox - loads video but no option to allow full screen Firefox allows (with addon) to download the flash videos from the page.. Works well
Flash video plays very smoothly though...no stuttering.

Ry2mkk is confused
Flash is not supported on Stock Browser or Chrome. Dolphin used to work but now crashes when trying.
Firefox works for me and plays full screen too, there is a flicker at the start of the video.
Using Adobe Flash Version 11.1.115.81
See my screen shot... Flash is indeed working on stock
EDIT ** apologies, guess my site wasn't using a flash video as I've just tried the official flash test using default browser
Sorry for any misplaced hope lol.

if that is the case then i repeat my question how did you get it to work on the stock browser? I have been unable to do so?
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/get-back-the-aosp-browser-without-root/
Flash works fantastically with the AOSP version of the stock browser, which includes full screen. AOSP browser also has the bonus of fullscreen browsing + quick controls.
