Has anyone else noticed how many more apps are NOT compatible for Sensation (also Evo 3D)?
So far the following very popular great apps have issues:
> BackStab HD (Assasins Creed Clone)
Market Link
> Samurai II
Market Link
Any other noteworthy apps have problems? Most Developers are saying it is a phone issue and not their issue. Not sure thats true, but figured I'd put it out there since I haven't read anything about this.
Lol those are not Apps but games, has nothing to do.with sensation ...since its a fairly new phone support for those games will come later and now.go cry somewhere else. BTW i can play both games fine!

Are there apps that are not supported because of a specific phone or are they OS based?
I know NHL Gamecentre had an app (friend on a Desire Z had it) but I couldn't find it at all in the market and I had to find an apk on the internet and it installed fine then.

okay but why isn't google home there in the market place. When I go through the market on my PC it tells me its not availble for my phone but thanks to d/l of the apk file I know it works for it.
I have samurai ii. It crashes a lot! The description says that the sensation and evo 3d isn't compatible and it isn't the game.
Battleheart and zombieville usa has these problems too.
I tried them but will eventually crash.

The confusing thing is that all the games that are compatible with the Adreno 205/200 should be compatible with the Adreno 220 because of the backwards capability it has. I wonder what's causing the issues.

No need to be a **** about it. There are most certainly other applications aside from just "games" that are not working for the phone. It was intended to insight an answer regarding specifics for Sensation issues like the known bluetooth problems with HTC.
I'd love to know how you are playing these games fine if both explicitly say they don't support the phone. It's one thing to flame a dumb question, it's entirely another just to post crap. Grow up.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't see any real reason why it would not be supported. The only thing I could think of was Sense 3.0.
The irony is that the LG G2x is supported, but the Sensation is not. Go figure.
These games don't work because they were made using the Unity engine, apparently support is coming soon.

ive thrown plenty of games at my sensation with no problems yet. Download spare parts and enable compatibility for old apps, works like a charm for me at least

Hey I can't run Asphalt 6 and Dungeon Defenders pls help
That's just kind of marketing problem, not Hardware problems.....
Like Tegra 2 games, you can find versions made not to check if it's tegra or not and working well on the Sensation (for ewample I have a 100% working Pinball HD For Tegra2)
And some games were written specifically for tegra (stupid!) and need some re-writting for Adreno now.
Also, the fact is that many warez won't work on the Sensation, more than on my previous device that's for sure.
Asphalt 6? Buy it on Gameloft wapstore directly, it works perfectly. Try warez: they'll mostly fail.
Finally, some games say they are not compatible just because with our qHD screen, touchscreen controlls will be messed up, like the version of Schrek Kart I had: working fluently, but you must press above the virtual buttons to get them working.
To finish: talking about apps not compatible:
if you try to install an app and it says "App NOT installed" and you can press "OK" and that's all.
=> Try installing this app via ADB ( adb install \name_of_your_app.apk ). Many will install this way and perfectly work!
That's what I did for many apps (Blackmarket alpha is one of them^^)

Hey, did someone who have root access, tried playing tegra games on sensation?
Take a look at this.
I've read somewhere that you can play those games if you have the chainfire apk or something. I didn't care much to investigate since I already have those Tegra "exclusive" games (so dumb) on my iPod touch.
Thats true, as you can see... its a guide for rooted devices.
Did someone else tried those games on sensation?

For that you need Chainfire3D, and CF3D needs a reboot after installing, and also needs to write to /system. So it's impossible right now

some of these games do work on the sensation without root or chainfire3d...yes i am talking about the cracked versions..

Guys, about playing Tehran games on the sensation, I tried pinball hd and other tegra games which works flawlessly on the sensation with no need of chain fire at all I don't know about u but all the games I tried worked fine for me till now even tegra.

Works perfectly on my phone, in fact before samurai vengeance 2 was updated to work for the sensation i would use chain fire to run the Tegra only version. Will be trying monster madness later today and will post if it works or not.

Played Riptide GP today and it worked. I get those weird colours on the jetski thing, but nothing else.

Hi guys I'm writing this to present a problem with my screen when I play only Samurai II: Vengeance on my sensation , i install 2 days ago Samurai II: Vengeance in my sensation and since I start playing in 2 minutes the game closes and leaves me all washed or screen blur, it happened to one of you???

my phone is still stock, I could not put a permanent root yet, but I think I'll do to better performance.
Coming from PC Graphics if the display is doing that it looks like a fault with the GPU, possible over heating, not making contact with heatsink etc. Perhaps the game is making you phone overheat? I'll have to try the game myself and see if it does it.
Happened since the 2.3.4 update.

try it only happens when I play Samurai II Vengeance , I play modern combat for half an hour and has never been this problem.

So,it might be the problem with the Game itself...generally i am limited to Angrybirds and Unblock Me types of games...so dont have much idea.

This is the only correct reply in the thread so far.
Custom kernels have fixed this.
This is because of stock kernel. HTC screwed up and you can't play heavier games games now. Known issue

Same thing happened to me on stock with the same game. Haven't tried it with CM7 and Faux's kernel yet.

Wow seriously? Wtf is up with HTC? They are really dropping the ball with this one.
Mine force closes samurai if I don't have wifi on ever since the 2.3.4 update. I just uninstalled samurai for now until htc fixes the problem. I don't really play games that much so it doesn't bother me. I do watch a lot of movies on my phone, so as long as it plays movies fine, then I am good.
Other games work fine. Gameloft games, battleheart, zombieville. They run on the unity engine, like samurai ii

Tested it out, works really well. No issues at all. To clarify, I'm running CM7 Alpha 5 and Faux's CM7/AOSP 0.1.9 kernel.
Hi there everybody. I want to ask you a question. I have a issue with Asphalt 6. It's a cencor issue. When i look it to calibrate the cencor it seems normally. But in asphalt game the cencor is very very uncalibrated. I have to turn my phone nearly 80 degree (almost vertical) to drive it on a line. I am not sure but i think there will be another issues with another games. So any solution?
And there are some issues with other gameloft games too. Example: Modern Combat.
I have an Applanet issue too but it seems everybody has it. So i ignore it.

That's an app issue, I've had the problem with my galaxy s running ics too. The app needs to be updated by gameloft to support ics. If I remember correctly, you can get their latest beta (After you buy it!) from their forums by emailing them which should fix the issue.

Can you specify some that crash?
For me none are crashing but I might be missing those you try...
Some HD games crash on mine, im guessing they dont support the phone yet
Not one game loft game works...also dead space gta etc I can't get running

Plants vs Zombies crashes like an idiot
The Game of Life is also another one but does let you play a little before it crashes
Zynga poker crashes but not as frequent as the other two
Apps
mainly my WOW armoury and ebay r the main ones that crash.
I do think this might be down to Android 4.0 as its fairly new and the games and apps might need an update.
I am running cm10 on my sensation, and my gta vice city keeps freezing as soon as i drive around for a bit
It works fine on my brothers s3 and note 2

It's an issue on Rockstar's end, there is a ton of pretty ugly bugs with the Adreno 220, one being the entire phone freezing when entering a vehicle. Lots of draw issues too. Bad lag (I mean damn... The HD2 runs it just fine), Wait for an update from R*.

Oh ok thanks for that. I dont even know if its compatible with the sensation but it should do anyway. Hope they can fix these issues as on s3 the flawless play was amazing

on the playstore it says Not Compatible
Yes, i just checked and sensation is not listed under compatible models
But people are having this problem even on supposedly supported models, so rockstar need to fix these issues

it's the problem of the game being incompatible with sensation in some aspect (no one really know it) the only solution is waiting for update from rockstar and hope to be soon
