I installed Scrabble Free for Android on my HTC Sensation 4G and signed up for my EA account, etc. That said, there is a message under settings > options that says: "You will need a registered Google account for Push Notifications to function." And I have Notification set to "ON." Clearly I have a Google account, but I'm not getting notifications, What am I doing wrong?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I sent an email to EA support. We'll see if I hear any response. It's a pretty annoying bug. I'll probably mention it in the Market review, too.

Maybe they could find a way to get more ads in this app.
Scrabble is crippled with ads, and on top of that the notifications do not even work. Way to go EA, it's almost as if you have never made a game before. With all the shovelware sports crap they pump out you would think they could throw their customers a bone with a free WORKING Scrabble game, and dare I dream, without ads.

You are correct. I don't see why I would need to see the ad for NFS Shift when I already have the damn thing installed on my phone.
This game is just brutal. Sucks. I'm sad.
The ads are so terrible in this game. Give me a dam paid version PLEASE

Has anyone tested it yet?
I wonder if it actually plays video, or it's just browsing the site... The description is pretty bare.
Interesting...didn't they just re-block hulu on android yesterday? Since it clearly states that the developer isn't affiliated with hulu, I'd be very wary of dishing out money for something that will most likely get blocked by hulu.
Ok, so it seems to work, with a few caveats...no fullscreen?? High res takes you to the real hulu.com, which denies access based on platform.
As far as i can tell, this is the only way to successfully watch Hulu. Worth $1.50...until it gets blocked of course...

Wait, so all videos are playing? Or only a sub-set of Hulu's content?
If so, couldn't we just go to Hulu Mobile (somehow) via the browser and have it work? What URL does it take you to via the app?
I can confirm the videos do play, but this app is a mess...testing mobile site now, will report back

Use the app for more than 5 minutes then tell me its worth a penny. Need to go back to your homescreen? Good luck getting back to your video...The app opens a new instance of itself every time. No fullscreen? Tolerable. No way to exit the program? Ridiculous.
This dev doesnt deserve a dollar. Its just a cash grab. But Im sure the dev will appreciate suckers like you who think bookmarking a website qualifies as a paid app. What is it exactly that you are paying for? No thanks.

Guys, please keep the flaming down. Also, no discussions about cracking or finding "workarounds" for paid apps are allowed in this site. That falls under the category of warez as well.

To be fair, it looks like this "paid app" is nothing more than a browser without the address bar. That's not very honest.
I would have to agree that this is not a "work around". Its just going to a website that already exists. Thats like saying going to the facebook mobile site is a "work around" for Bloo.
BTW anyone who installed this app... is it still working or has hulu blocked it?

Google is your friend. I don't want to get booted for endorsing pirated apks (though this ad-supported version will probably be free anyway...).
What's funny though is that if you have adfree app installed, the (free?) ad-driven version will be the same as the paid version.

Every now and then the game itself bugs out and I have to re-login, probably because the servers are really crowded...

We could always go the route of sales through forums, or "donations" if that works better. Paypal works, payment is payment. I would prefer a more personal 'market' anyways.

I just saw this site listed in an article on AndroidSPIN. Here's the link to the article:
A New Solution for Finding Tablet Optimized Applications
The part of the article that piqued my interest the most was this:
It’s not an alternative market but rather, it displays apps that have been SPECIFICALLY designed for tablets then links them back to the Android Market. Many devs claim their apps are optimized for tablets but in truth, they simply mean the app now stretches to fill the screen on a tablet-that’s far from being optimized. None of this “optimized” nonsense here. Each app is tested to make sure that it is actually designed for tablets; meaning the UI has been enhanced in some way to take advantage of the large display. It’s definitely worth a look. Thanks!
The site it refers to is: Tablified Apps
It's worth a look.

This site just made me sad. It is a great idea and I appreciate the work put in, but it only serves to highlight the utter lack of tablet optimized apps currently available for Android.
Great site. Thanks for this (Thanks button used with pleasure). I've only had a quick scroll and already found two apps that I hadn't heard of that look really good.
It's great to see people furthering the cause of Android tablet optimised apps. The more exposure there is, the more developers are going to be encouraged to develop for tablets.

It all depends which country you live in. I think it's only in the USA you get the tablets section (possibly Canada too).
Edit: well I hate to be a killjoy but the first app I saw on that site is the game 'Stupid Zombies', which isn't a tablet optimised or made for tablet app at all and certainly isnt a 'true' tablet app. So not sure how that site is sorting apps just for tablets, and perhaps others on there are the same, but I didnt look further. Maybe that's a one off.

If you found a missing app, there s a "submit an app" section on the main page. This site should fulfil itself if people just take 1 minutes to share their discovery.
Now what really is missing is : ..... A TABLET App ! trololololol.

let me explain how it works for games because there isnt a clear cut line. a games doesnt need to be 3.0 specific for it to work on tablets. people complain about not having a tablet games section then complain when i put a game up. this is how i determine if the game is a tablet game or not. i actually look at the Apple app store version. Stupid Zombies is a tablet game. how do i know? because the same version of that game is offerred on the iPad and on the iPhone. I know this because you see that theres is only one version of the game in the app store and there is a little "plus" sign on the corner of the app icon. this game was designed for tablets and phones. same thing applies for the Android market. Im not sure if you even bothered playing the version of stupid zombies on the ipad and iphone/ipod...but i have. theres no difference between the two. i spend a lot of time testing these apps and games. if one app didnt make you want to look any further, well, i guess its your loss then. i hope people understand that its not always clear cut. thats why theres a voting section. if you think the game/app shouldnt be on the list then please send me a quick msg. it takes two seconds. theres a button right under the app that says "send enquiry". notify me and ill let the people decide if it should be on the list or not. perhaps i should add stupid zombies to the app voting section.
as for the people who have apparently gone through the entire site in a day, im sorry i cant fill the apps fast enough...im the only person doing this right now. hopefully help comes soon. if you find an app then take a second and submit the app. thanks!

let me explain how it works for games because there isnt a clear cut line. a games doesnt need to be 3.0 specific for it to work on tablets. people complain about not having a tablet games section then complain when i put a game up. this is how i determine if the game is a tablet game or not. i actually look at the Apple app store version. I agree with this methodology 100%. Keep in mind this site is brand new and is still growing. That coupled with the sad fact as many of you have pointed out that there are just not that many Tablet designed apps just yet. Give the site a chance folks contribute to the list... we will all benefit from it in my opinion... not that it should mean much since I just joined.... but still!
as far as stupid zombies I play that game on my transformer daily (its addicting) based on the above criteria it fits as a tablet app imho
Thanks and I am glad to be a part of this community and looking forward to getting flamed/ accepted here.

You totally misunderstood what I was saying and the tone. I wasn't slating your site by only saying id looked at one. I was saying id looked at one and not had time to look at more, and was unsure if all the apps were not 'true' apps or not, so i didnt want to judge just from looking at one, just report back immediate findings. I can see why you thought that though. I applaud your efforts.
Anyway I disagree with your thoughts on 'if an app is works fine on an ipad it must be ok in honeycomb, or for an android tablet', but hey if all humans agreed with each other the world would be a boring place. In the case of stupid zombies yes it works fine in honeycomb but its still not a 'true' tablet app and the developer doesnt claim it to be.
I think we can all agree there arent that many honeycomb specific or optimised apps anyway. Get developing people!

Please define what a game should have to make it eligible to be called aa tablet game. What should stupid zombies have added to make it a honeycomb/tablet app? Just so I have a reference. Thanks.

The developer claiming that is would be a good start.

really? so...
IMDB, Movies and about a dozen other apps dont have any mention of being a tablet app in the market, does that make them not a tablet app? Sure they aren't games but still, by that definition it would weed out a lot more than just games. honestly, if i waited around for all developers to post that their apps are for honeycomb/tablets then i would have nothing on the site.
anyway, until someone give me a better solution for posting up games, im going to do what i think feels right. comparing them to their iPad counterparts is CURRENTLY the best solution there is. i check for graphics, gameplay, controls, etc. if its identical, like how stupid zombies is, then its a tablet game.
games like burn the rope will not be on the list because the controls differ from the ipad. the ipad has on screen controls to move the rope instead of having to wave around your tablet, looking like a fool. so thats an example of where the game looks good on phones and tablets but still NOT for tablets.
i hope this clears some stuff up. if anyone has some suggestions on how we can distinguish tablet games then please let me know. thanks!
