How come the alarm only rings once? I hit the snooze for five minutes but after i hit snooze in the morning nothing happens.
Same thing, thats why I stopped usng it the stock htc alarm. I use Alarmdroid now and it's way better, a lot more options and it rings more than once and more than 15 minutes.
No issues here, hit snooze like 5 times today, kept waking me up every 10 minutes.
No issues here. Hopefully they don't start occurring either.

Edit: The snooze is grey out.

Hi,
No problems here in normal use

HTC Sensation

HTC Sence: 3.0

i STRONGLY recommend you pay for an app called "gentle alarm". It is such a nice way to wake up. The customization levels cater for everyone.
It maybe my morning haze but I believe you need to drag the icon into the circle to snooze. Did that this morning and it worked fine.
Personally I find the whole dragging thing too complicated and I wake up after hitting snooze.

I was thinkin the same thing since by the time I focus my eyes to drag the snooze button, I'm already awake so its kinda pointless. I would rather have to snooze by hitting the power/volume rocker or sum since I don't have to look to find them, I know/can feel where they are. Bt if I need dismiss then I would actually have to drag the thing in there so that way my eyes r already open.

strange, i drag the "snooze" to the circle...
LoL.... but try gentle alarm...
lol...When you try to drag the circle to the snooze-button you unlock your phone and shut down the alarm altogether.
It is button to the ring
Aside from the issue where I had zero sounds (ringer, text notification, alarm, etc.) (a reboot fixed that, and I was able to replicate the issue -- explained here), the alarm has worked perfectly for me. If I drag the snooze icon into the ring, it snoozes for 10 minutes and then starts up again.
I wish I could adjust the "snooze" time length, but other than that it works just fine for me.

When I have an alarm set up, for example I have a M-F alarm to wake up for work, and the alarm goes off, it never displays any option for "Snooze" or "Disable". In fact, nothing comes on the screen at all. I have it set to repeat if I miss it, so to disable it I end up having to go into the alarms config, and turn off the alarm manually by unchecking it.
There has to be an easier way.... every other phone I've had (including my Blackjack II) has a "snooze" and "disable" option when the alarm goes off.
I know this must be obvious but I can't find it. Please help!
i havent confirmed this, but i saw this info on another forum:

i just did the alarm this morning and saw the same thing. what i did was touch the top screen with all the symbols to bring up the system menu. there was an alarm symbol. i clicked it then the soft keys changed to disable on left and menu on right. tapped menu and the options for snooze came up. clicked snooze for ten min and it went away. ten min later the alarm went off again. hope this helps.
Yup that's it exactly. I do this every weekday morning!
I can only offer that I have the same problem. I have a feeling it is similar to my problems with the phoen application and how it now works.
I feel it is touchflo 3d fault.
Correct me if I am wrong but the overlay of TouchFlo has made my device more troublesome than my 8125 on wm5.

Wow, that totally defeats the purpose of snooze, by the time i figure out how to do all that it when i'm half asleep i'll be wide awake already!
Guess the 3rd party will have to fix this.
This is another example of where basic functionality of a phone has been superseded by glitzy features.
Another thing I noticed is that the alarm will repeat a few times and then just disable itself and never go off again. There is an option buried somewhere for alarms and how many times to repeat but I think it was grayed out for no apparent reason.
I had that problem too. I ended up getting gAlarm and I'm happy with it. There is nice big snooze button as well as a stop button. I think if you turn the phone over, it will snooze too. But I'll have to verify that.
omg..i HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!
i thought i was the only one that was completely lost on this...
There has to be something were missing...because going thru all those steps is alot of hassle, when ur half asleep
I'm willing to bet a dollar that most of use that rely on the Fuze alarm clock are now getting up roughly 10 minutes earlier...

True That.

The built in alarms just don't cut it. If you're going to use it for getting you up so you can go to work it's worth getting a good dedicated alarm.
On my TyTn I liked pTravelAlarm:
http://www.burroak.on.ca/pta.html
On the Fuze I'm testing Klaxon:
http://www.koushikdutta.com/search/label/Klaxon
I think I slightly prefer pTravelAlarm but it's not free; when I fumble with the phone it shakes enough to shut off the alarm when I just want to snooze.
But both have nice big snooze buttons you can jab at when you're half-asleep/hungover.
Thanks guys, i'll check out some of the suggested solutions!
The popup is occurring but it is happening BEHIND TF3D. I highly recommend Klaxon. The program is a little slow and setting the time is annoying as you cant type numbers, you have to press up/down to find your numbers but it goes off and it is a nice big screen.
I wanted to use the stock alarm for my X10 mini pro, but it ONLY sounded off once and DOES NOT REPEAT. As a result, I got a warning letter from my work for going to work late.
Now, I'm having trouble finding a good alarm clock, that sounds off the alarm and repeats UNTIL dismissed.. can anyone reccommend me?
if you Snooz it and not Dismiss it will go off again in 15min, that is all i do with my X10

Yeah, Kaloer clock is amazing. Check it out
Android Variations: Check em out!
Math Alarm Clock (the one I use)
One of the best apps EVER.
Also, if you can get good night sleeps get Smart Alarm Clock (it detects by movements the phase of sleep you are so I wakes you up on REM ) (it kindda work, but BLOWS MY BATTERY)
i use "Alarm Klock"(free on the market) :
you can param snooze timer, use MP3 as sound, progressive volume(settable), vabrate (or not), set label name for each alarm ...
For snooze : there a giant button
to stop the alarm, there a button ton slide (like to unlock an iPhone)
im having the same problem after i got the OTA update (on rogers network in canada btw)
the alarm would go silence on its own after a minute of going off, and then it doesnt repeat
:S
How about setting a couple of alarms with the stock app instead of one?
I use shaketowake.
Have to shake every morning about 20 times, and shake it hard for 1 alarm. Believe me you will wake up. First time it took 5 min to shake.
Kaloer clock was working perfectly before the OTA update.
After the update....its a bit slow and not as responsive.
Do you guys have the same issue with it?

Apparently Samsung doesn't know how to make a snooze feature as snoozing the alarm will cancel it when it tries to come out of snooze the first time. After Googling it it sounds like other people found out the hard way that snoozing doesn't work.

I might be having a similar issue. I am terrible at waking up in the morning and I set the snooze limit to 5 times. Most of the time I am not sure if it goes off after I snooze it.
Kinda makes me wonder how long the alarm goes off before it stops.

Stock alarm is terrible, it auto snoozes after 1 minute and there is no way to change it. If you are a heavy sleeper better change it to something else ASAP. I'm using alarm clock extreme and all is taken care of now.

I have had no problem with the stock alarm so far. I have only had it snooze once but that was the auto snooze and it went off again. I don't normally let it snooze though since I have it on the other side of the room and have to get up to turn it off.
I've had issues with every phones stock alarm. Well not the S3.....because I'll never take the chance. I use Gentle Alarm and have never had a single issue. Great app!
Currently not being productive on my S3.
Ive been using Alarm Clock Xtreme(paid) for almost 2 years without a single problem.

I've used extreme alarm but I really wish the stock app worked because all of the 3rd party apps are hideous looking and the stock one has all the timer and world clocks integrated into it.
I turn the phone over to snooze and this works.
On another note, when the alarm rings, it gives two choices - swipe one way to cancel the alarm and swipe the other way to snooze.
On my old Droid X, it was swipe to cancel the alarm touch anywhere else to snooze. This worked real well for me. First thing in the morning, I don't want to wake up enough to find the right place to swipe. Turning it over is a good alternative.
Works for me

You can also press either volume button to snooze it.
I've been using the stock alarm ever since I got the phone, and across multiple ROMs. Never once had it miss an alarm/snooze.
At first it wasn't waking me up because it doesn't run very long before it shuts itself off. Then I set it to auto snooze up to ten times and haven't had any problems. I also use the smart alarm (that I love by the way) which starts 3 minutes before your regular alarm. I also really love the peaceful tones that don't jerk me out of sleep like buzzers and what not.
Yea the stick one has done glitches. The most annoying thing for me is the stupid nature sounds lol . They make me want to sleep more. I transferred the rooster call from my MAXX

May be in the ATT 2.2.0 update also...
you can now tap the screen to dismiss the volume adjuster...
Like when watching a youtube/gallery video and you adjust the volume. It used to take like 5 seconds to dismiss (seems small, but so annoying when you are watching a short video). Now you can tap the screen and it immediately dismisses the box.
Thanks, HTC! I'm glad these updates are actually adding functionality.
This is a standard feature of ICS.

I'm still on 1.85 and I'm able to dismiss the Media Volume and Ringtone Volume sliders by tapping on background and not on the volume slider box. Tapping on the volume slider directly does nothing.
However, and I just found this out by testing for this post, once the volume slider is open you can move the slider with your finger to adjust the volume. I never, never knew that!
Yep, same as it was on 1.85. I can tap outside the box to dismiss. Dragging the slider also functions.
But I'd bet the OP just taught a few people a new trick.

Since the JB update, the standard clock's alarm has stopped working properly. Prior to JB if an alarm was set and the tab was closed/charging the alarm would go off continuously and the tab would vibrate, I would unlock with my PIN and there would be a dialog up to either hit "dismiss" or "snooze".
Since JB, if the tab is locked (open or closed) it just beeps once very briefly (sounds like it is being "caught" and cut short), does not vibrate at all, and when I unlock and open it, there is a little notification on the notifications menu with the alarm info. If I click on that, it opens a dialog that says "dismiss" or "snooze". If the screen is not locked, it behaves exactly like it did above with no notification.
Anyone else see this or who could try reproducing it? I have not messed with any settings, when I look at them everything is like I would expect. I have never seen an alarm sent to the notification tray rather than sounding and this behavior strikes me as a bug.
Anyone have an alternate alarm clock they use with TF and JB?
You are not alone. I've deleted the clock cache, done a hard reboot and still the alarm only gives a brief "chirp" and is heard no more.
I had come to rely on the alarm in my travels as it has worked without fail whether on or in sleep mode- until the jelly bean update.

Thanks for the confirmation of the issue. At least I know someone else is seeing this and it is not some crazy setup issue. I am disappointed too. I've been using this in lieu of a real alarm clock while in a temporary living situation, so it's something I want to find a solution for...

It's not a bug since it's working fine on by tablet. My clock version is 2.03 and default ringtone is celsium. Did you tried to wipe DATA and CACHE, then reboot? Did you freeze any system app? Could you try the same ringtone as mine?
It is a bug or an intended feature to save power. It only beeps correctly if the clock is on the screen, either bright or dim. If the screen is off as in sleep mode, then it beeps once only then stops.
My wife certainly noticed yesterday morning! Good thing that i had an alarm set also!

I have the same exact problem
The day after the update I set it to wake me up the next morning and it didnt work either so now I leave it plugged in and the screen open in the dock and it works. I dont know what I did the first night but I almost didnt wake up. I also noticed if you put the volume all the way down to vibrate the alarm doesnt go off aswell but ICS work fine. All other sounds on silent but alarm still sounded off on ICS.

Me too. So, anyone let Asus know about this bug yet?
haha just found out this morning too. i had set the infinity alarm as my backup alarm because i just flashed a new rom on my phone. good thing the phone alarm still works. that could have been nasty
ya found this out the hard way this morning, when I was 45 minutes late for work.
is it due to the tablet going to sleep? I know in ICS i had the power settings set to never sleep if plugged in. cant find the equivalent 'if plugged in' settings. so for now I will test it if i set it just never sleep ever.
Here's a fix until Asus sort it out - keep the clock app open when you shut the tablet off. I think it's something to do with the alarm's Snooze/Dismiss notification. I'd keep a backup alarm set even using the fix, though - at least for a little bit.
I don't even have a TF700, but my fellow editor over at Pocketables does and wrote about this issue. I threw together a Tasker project that sort of fixes this, at least makes the alarm make some noise again. Exported it as a standalone app and he tells me it works. Details and download here if anyone would like to try it out: http://www.pocketables.com/2012/10/transformer-pad-infinity-temporary-alarm-fix-app-download.html
Details about what it does and disclaimer is in that post as well.
