I just put my Nexus S 4G on Boost and I was wondering if anyone else had their Nexus on Boost? So far its been great...same as Sprint..and I know its the same network. I also was wondering if you do what rom your on....

i have a question i just bought a htc inspire and was wondering if i get it unlocked would it work correctly on t mobile or simple mobile i heard the band is different but if it is att just like the iphones once it is unlocked everything should work fine can anyone help me answer that queston?
phone will work but not 3g, you will get edge instead. simple mobile has same band as tmobile for 3g

Yes, EDGE is 2G.

2g with full internet pages is pretty slow though, takes forever to load anything, sending email and stuff like that should be fine but u can scratch watching youtube videos without waiting awhile

please help if you can. i was thinking about getting htc inspire 4g from radio shack and would like to use simple mobile as my carrier. i understand that the phone has to be unlocked and GSM. my question is once it's unlocked do i need to change the access name point(apn) on the phone in order to use the internet?

anyone using Motorola Htc Inspire on Simple Moblile? any problem with internet ? do they "throttle" your usage?
Any AT&T phone on T-Mobile service will run on edge, doesn't matter which phone you use.

Yes you do have to change the apn but it tells you step by step on the website here: Simple Mobile Support .

I dont think they throttle it. i havent noticed any change.
is it possible to root your HTC Inspire and use it with T-mobile with their 4g Speed or will it only be running on EDGE?
Just rooting has no influence on data speed or connectivity.
I just rooted my inspire and i'm using it T-mobile but the data its only running on EDGE and not 4g. I'm trying to find any post that addresses this issue and i cant find any. So IDK if i did something wrong thats only giving me EDGE or is just not possible.

Hey I have a question, the guy who flashed my nexus s to boost said he can do the same thing with an evo 4g, but he would be able to get 4g on the evo. I think he said he could get a partition for it? I have no idea what he was talking about so pardon me if i said something wrong, but does anyone know of a way to get 4g on the nexus s through boost? If not, is boost getting 4g anytime soon ever?
I remember reading a thread that said that if the account that the phone was on before the phone was flashed is still active then the WiMax keys should still work to connect to Sprint for 4G. I'm not 100% on this though, I don't believe Boost has their own 4G network.

Unfortunately, the answer to your question is, no. You must use a sanyo incognito or a samsung prevail. I used a prevail, it is a little harder than the incognito but it can be done.

Yes, you can flash it to boost. If you search, there are several threads on it.
Yes you can flash Sprint phones to Boost but if i were to flash a phone, id flash it to Cricket Wireless but thats just me
