Photos Widget - HTC Sensation

How does it choose the order of photos?
It seems totally random as it's not by filename. Anyone know?
Also, is there another full-screen photos widget app that works as well as HTC's but with more options?

Photo Frame Screensaver?

Is there any sort of photo frame app for Honeycomb?
I'm looking for something that can display say selected Picasa photos or something of the like that will just flick through them.
Basically, an app which does what those digital frames do. I would just use tasker to start the app up after a certain period of time
You can try JustPictures, it has a slideshow option , that I'm sure Tasker could start, and it accesses a few online photosites, including Picasa, and of course on board pics

multipicture live wallpaper.... it does just that....but i dont know if it uses picasa pictures....has to be on your microsd or ur internal sdcard.... dont quote me on that but i use it and it rotates pictures at whatever interval you specify
Exactly what I am looking for. I have tried a lot of things and I had it working perfectly to my uses in my previous android 2.0 tablet. I used Plug In Launcher or phoneweaver to launch photo slides, but any photo app would work well in this regard. I liked photo slide because it was simple. The key for me with a program launcher is that it would only engage after power was plugged in. Phoneweaver was nice because I could also set brightness to 100% and never lock the screen.
Enter the transformer, and now I have a problem that I havent been able to solve. Android 3.0 thinks that you are plugged into the wall when you attach the dock and no other launcher is aware of this difference with the transformer. I have emailed the developers of several of these programs and have not received any response about if they plan to code something specifically for users of the transformer.
Tasker was mentioned here, any idea if it supports the power plug properly on the transformer? Or some other suggestion?

Stock Photo Gallery Color Issue?

I've noticed the color of the thumbnails in the stock Samsung gallery app differ when they're actually enlarged. Anyone else notice this? It doesn't happen with third party gallery apps, but I'd prefer to keep the stock gallery app simply because it plays back the slomo video. If you haven't noticed, check it out. Watch the vibrant reds/blues slightly shift to a lighter red/blue.
Now, I've experimented with this, and noticed it does this when the "Adaptive display" setting is left on. However, leaving it on and testing this out with a third party gallery app, it worked perfectly. The display adapted and the colors matched. Of course the color will be the same once enlarged so as long as you change the display's screen mode to "AMOLED photo". However, I'd prefer the adaptive setting because I don't like the warmer white tones when using my phone for everything else besides photo editing.
Leaving it on "Adaptive display", the software should know when I am actually opening a photo and adjust the colors so they're accurate. But now I'm thinking that there's a glitch with the stock gallery. The adaptive display setting is working fine with third party gallery apps, just not that stock gallery app. Which is sorta ironic....
Thoughts?
i have the same.problem.. how to solve this ?? I want stock gallery too
In amoled photo or basic, when you use the camera or edit photos it automatically changes to Adaptive Display while doing those tasks.

This is exactly what is happening. When you're on the thumbnail view, the screen is set to oversaturate a lot, but when you actually click a photo to make it full screen, the adaptive display mode switches the screen calibration to a more accurate one, which is the change you're seeing. If you use a third party app, the screen will just remain in the oversaturated, not accurate calibration the entire time.
So what is solution, how to solve this? I want when I open the photo to see how it really looks on instagram and everywhere......

Put your display on Cinema, Photo or Basic as Adaptive changes the settings to look more vivid etc in gallery apps and isn't useful. Also i'd say it used more battery.

Rotation of photos in Facebook and Google Photos

In FB and in Google Photos the rotation of some of my pictures are wrong.
The rotation is fine in the Xperia photo app.
Any suggestions to a solution.....or is it a bug? Am I the only one that has this experience?

I See It too.
I Rotated an image using Xperia Album App then I set it as wallpaper But when i wanted to upload it to instagram it was like first time (not rotated)
maybe Album App bug that not rotate the actual image file and maybe temporary file in cache or something!
or maybe rotate the frame of image in Album!
The Solution is using another app to rotate
:good:

Your solution is a possibility, but is really not good if you wanna take a picture and use it right away in ex. Facebook Messenger. You don't see the wrong rotation until the picture is in Messenger and then you have to edit the picture with another app....and then send it with Messenger
I have the same issue, but I think I have understood. My screen orientation is locked on portrait. When you take pictures the camera app still rotate.
So if you take a picture with camera in landscape mode and screen in portrait mode. the photo will be rotated... Hope I'm clear.
I tried to view some pictures on my PC that i'd taken yesterday and they were upside down! Don't think I was so drunk I took them upside down but you never know.
Always had rotation issues on Xperia I see it as a quirk of the phones.

Camera app with transparent image overlay to line up camera shots

Hey guys, I have been searching a lot and I can't seem to find an app with this function.
All I want is to open up a camera app. Select a picture and overlay it on the camera/viewfinder. Then set the transparency of the picture to half or whatever feels right. Then align the new camera shot with the old picture and take a shot. This is one of the best ways to do a before after shot.
I have found few apps on the play store that do this function half-assed.
There is an app called "overlay camera" this apps looks pretty outdated but in it, you can overlay an image and set the transparency using the slider and take the picture. BUT when it saves the picture, it saves it WITH the transparent picture still overlaid on the camera. The transparent picture should only be used for alignment but this app saves the camera picture and the overlaid picture into one blurry mess of a picture.
There is another app called "Time Spirit" and in it you can create a photo lapse. But you can't overlay a picture from your gallery. It uses the last picture you took as an overlay for your next picture.
So does any app out there exists that will work or me?
anyone?
Hi Jsan133,
I am interested in an app you described too. have you succeed to find any? it looks like there is nothing like tat in app store.
Ditto this post.
Does anyone know of an app?

How does on replace stock gallery?

I disabled "Photos" and installed another gallery app but when I take a picture with camera and try to quickly view it it just defaults back to the camera app. I have to go to my app tray, load my gallery program and get into the photo folder to see the picture. As you can imagine this isn't the greatest workflow
I see nothing in the system settings for a default app for gallery and I've never been asked to select one. If I re-enable Photos... it goes right to that from the camera app.
I must be missing something very simple or there must be something wrong??!?!
I'm pretty sure Photos is the OEM photo app for this phone, there is no separate gallery app. You an access device folders when in the Photos app.

I understand that photos is stock. On all other droid phones I've been able to install a different gallery app and have it take over as the system default. I'm looking for how to do that here.
