Are you sure that the one you have changed is Asus keyboard and not the Android.
Because there are Asus Keyboard input method and Android input method. So that, which have you changed?

I do not know why my touch keyboard change to like this (please read the enclosed screen, all the alphabets gone, except p and w), I have tried to hardreset and then reinstall all the programs. It works fine for a couple weeks but all the sudden it changes again.
I am usng english version.
Do anyone has this kind of error? How to fix it? Please help
click the small arrow at the bottom of the screen, and select full QWERTY.
hope that helps.
I have the same problem and selecting full qwerty doesn't solve that. It is already qwerty , but it is somehow stuck on the number input layout.
Any other chance to solve this?

just an idea:
Did you try to select a different type of keyboard ("Phone Keypad" or "Keyboard") and then switch back to "Full QWERTY" again?
Did you disable xT9? if so, re-enable it and soft reset. This could solve your issue as someone earlier in the forum had the exact same issue and was solved the same way. search for that old post.
great! Thanks for advice, omar!
I've unistalled some xt9 tweak for czech language.
And I've edited some registry keys
... it's working again!
Code:
HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9\Ime\TextInputMode = 1
HKLM\Software\Tegic\eT9\Ime\CurrentET9Style= 0
Hope some of that helps... I've done more edits at one time so I don't know which was the one that solved it.
I downloaded a Korean language pack and keyboard and changed all the settings to enable it, but it will only work if I'm not docked to the Asus keyboard. Is there anyway to enable to the keyboard while being docked and press the keys on the dock to get it to type in Korean? (If it matters, I did the steps in the "multiling keyboard") On a regular laptop, I can change keyboards seamlessly despite the physical keyboard being in English (just memorized where all the Korean letters are).
Just as a note, when I try to use a Korean keyboard when docked it says: "Change to ASUS Keyboard to keep consistency with hardware keyboard". The ASUS keyboard doesn't have a Korean option though.
Anyone have a solution?
Where did you get the Korean language pack?
bump for interest

Would you try the following step to choice language?
setting -> language & input -> configure input methods -> active input methods
OK .... am i doing something stupid ? settings are all set to UK keyboard but SHIFT + 2 gives me @ whereas the key says it should give me " .... a couple of other buttons are screwed too .....
when you dock with the tablet you have to select the on screen message for asus uk keyboard if you dont like me who uses the android or thumb keyboard then you get the us keyboard,if you select the keyboard button on the bottom of the screen then select asus uk it will make the dock keyboard asus uk

Um..... No matter what I do the 2 key has the @ not the ". The physical key has the two marked as ". What should the British keyboard have there?
Same, the new update seems to have fixed it.

The British keyboard has a " on the 2 and the @ is by the right shift button.
I had to delete all 3rd party keyboards I had installed before it would work.
Just selecting the ASUS one as the default would not work for me.
nope. just click on the keyboard icon if/when it appears in the status bar (it seems a bit hit and miss) and you can then set the specific keyboard type for the hardware keyboard
Yeh I had the same problem before I got the keyboard update tonight. All fixed now.

I've done a search, and although the bug with the backspace key on the keyboard dock not working correctly after a JB update I can't find any other posts about the problem I am experiencing.
I have a UK spec 64Gb TF700 bought from Amazon UK that includes the keyboard dock.
I don't like the Asus on screen keyboard and to avoid the annoying backspace bug I prefer to use the Android keyboard. However if I use anything other than the Asus keyboard as default, the '@' key moves to the number '2' key and the number '3' key becomes '#' instead of '£'.
The system and keyboard languages are all set to UK English. I did have Swype installed but have done a complete factory reset to try to cure this annoying problem so now only have the Asus and Android default keyboards showing in Language & Input settings.
The tf700 is stock running JB and not rooted, anyone please put me out of my misery to cure this....?
Hello,
I bought an USB On the Go cable to connect a Physical keyboard to my galaxy s3. Problem is that when i touch characters like = ( ) ; on my keyboard i always get different characters that should now be there.
I dont know if if help, but the keyboard i have when typing on screen is swiftkey.
Any idea why this characters are messed up?
thanks
Check your keyboard language settings. It might have been configured as UK keyboard. Change it to US keyboard instead.

Thanks for the reply, i tried that but still not working.
I am from portugal, so i tried putting the keyboard laguage to Portuguese but i still get wrong characters.
For example SHIFT + 0 should give an = sign but is giving me a ) sign
Are there any other tips that might help with this prob?
