Is is possible to connect to the Internet via Bluetooth tethering?
I have htc android device and the hotspot is iphone with BT hotspot feature turned on.
I can pair my htc with it (and I disabled my wifi and mobile data), but doesn't seem to be connecting to the Internet.
Any ideas or extra free apps I need to install?

what i want to do is to use an external wifi connection that my android phone is receiving, on my pc. in other words, the phone would work as a wifi adapter for the pc (because i dont have one in my pc). i tried usb tethering, but it lets u use only 2g/3g connection, not wifi.
any app which can do this?
Hmm normally it should work with wifi too.
Try to deactivate 3g while you're tethering.
Otherwise try apps like pdanet or another one but I forgot the name.
Sent out of my Free Candy Van.
your talking about reverse tethering and yes flussen is right just turn of mobile networks and it should work and ive seen this done using wired tether 1.4 from google.
ok, it works with data connection turned off.
Is it possible for me to share a wifi connection I'm connected to with other phones/devices? Whether it be via bluetooth or wifi.
Please fix your question. Apart from the Bluetooth part, your basically asking if you can share WiFi via WiFi. Can't the other devices be connected to the WiFi source? Or if you want them to connect to the WiFi from your device, all you need to do is to get a WiFi hotspot app from the market.
So..I have an old Xperia Ray that I would like to connect to the internet but, the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is broken.
I would like to know if there's any way to connect it to the internet?
Things I've tried:
Mobile Data. Didn't work as it was trying to turn on Bluetooth.
USB tethering. For some reason it wanted Bluetooth.
I hope this is the right section
Thanks!
usb tethering doen not require bluetooth. it requires only mobile data

Mobile Data requires Bluetooth and tethering requires mobile data. Therefore tethering requires Bluetooth.
Hi all,
I'm looking for a way of turning my droid device into a portable Hotspot but using my existing BT Connection.
Essentially, I connect to BT OpenZone to access the internet. I have other devices I want to connect to the internet but they don't have browser options to login to BT Openzone.
So is there anyway I can use my droid as a hotspot without using mobile data.
Many thanks.

You could try:
- installing BTWifi app to auto-login to BTWifi hotspots
- setting up Android wifi hotspot on your android device
- turning off mobile data on your 2G/3G/4G connection
- setting up your other devices to connect to the Android wifi hotspot on your device
- keep your device plugged in to the mains for as long as possible
If you are rooted and running a custom rom like CM11, firewalls like AFWall+ give you even more options
Anyone know if it's possible to tether either via usb or bluetooth with the p900?
I just want a network connection between the two to use for ssh/telnet with Juice ssh and remote keyboard.
I can't use hotspot as I need be able to connect to the internet over my macbook's wifi. Public networks usually don't allow 2 devices to talk to each other so it doesn't work over wifi.
Ignore.
For anyone that has this issue on a Macbook you need to go into networks and makes sure that the Bluetooth PAN connects. It doesn't happen automatically as it does for my other android devices
The Note Pro is then accessible at 192.168.44.1
Actually I just connected to my phone as the bluetooth was on. So still a question is the P900 capable of bluetooth networking?
I tried the Bluetooth PAN app on the app store and it complains that the executable file /system/bin/pand is missing. Does anyone know of a way to add this in?
In case anyone else needs this USB tethering works fine using Valera1978's port of CyanogenMod 12.1.
