i know you said it's gonna take some time,, but it has been 20 mins ! and it's still there .. what went wrong?
please help

cimon guys ... think!
I'm really in need of some help

You should try the #xoom channel on irc.freenode.net and if that doesn't work (ie nobody there will help you) then I recommend getting a big coke and carefully sifting through all the posts here. There are big warnings all over every one of these guides that says "proceed at your own risk".
Did you try to fastbook lock at the end of your procedures? You may very well need a factory mode cable.

basicaly, I feel screwed right now does anybody can help me on this?
it is probably something super stupid and simple but I can'T find any solution so I decided to join this forum for a bit of support..
EDIT: my mistake, it went in the wrong section

Usually run this when I cluster f my phone

the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1180331 thread didnt helped enough..
Did you install the adampk rom?

no I haven't...
so far , what I did is
root the pone with the one clicker (wich was a success)
did the recovery with the clockworkmod recovery thing,
restarted and exectued this website's tutorial to jellybean (start with WWW stuff.androidauthority.com/g2x-p999-t-mobile-cyanogenmod-10-cm10-unofficial-115536)
and then, look like it failed..
this morning, I managed to get back to the recovery boot screen and found that if I press the house icon it show up a menu.. but this menu giving me access to reboot, wipe cache, data or install update.zip (which was supposed to fix my problem) but this menu is blued out and unaccessible..
dunno if it helped..
right now, I am trying to get acces to my phone doing the no battery boot thing but my pc doesnt seem to recognize my phone + I am at work hehe so I am pretty much limited in acces due tu the it protection and firewall stuff
I am gonna try to redo that stuff tonight at home but meanwhile, if any of what I described may give you a clue on how to help me, I really appreciate the effort!
thanks again for the support guys, I know it can be a pain sometimes to help people screwing some beginner stuff like I probably do right now

I say you needed to use the g2x android development forums on this site to find a suitable jb rom, not this other site. The one click method isn't very stable, so nvflash is most definitely what you need to try to get working. There are very thorough tutorials on how to get that to work. Do you know which clockwork recovery version you have installed? Should be 5.0.2.0. Once you get home, I suggest you read read read. Do as much research you can to make sure you can follow nvflash instructions to the letter. I know I personally spent about a week researching to make sure I had a solid understanding of the procedure.
I recommend getting nvflash going to get clockwork properly installed, then download a rom from xda, nowhere else. I would even say use a gb rom before trying a jb ...the jb roms are hackfest versions, so they have (from my experience) much poorer battery life, and lack hardware acceleration. Netflix and many 3d games won't work. You can use adampk or mazout's roms but they don't have working radio, i.e. no phone/SMS functionality.

Boot into recovery, there should be an option to format or wipe system. Do that then flash the ROM. It won't boot if you flash it over stock.
Also, use the paranoid android rom found in the development section, same cyanogenmod base but works better.

Ok, wait I think I understand what you're saying now. If you can, pm the op of that thread you used to unbrick. Ask that person if you need some kind of different file in that .zip file to work on your carrier.
I remember having to use that guide to get back to stock. Glad to see you're making progress. I know it can be frustrating when devices get wacky. Good luck!

hehehe sorry, I am not fully used to the right terms so I rather stay in the gray zone by using words like ''thing''
but I can now oficially say I was talking about ROMs
finally, I managed to bring back my phone to the stock mode everything seem to work!
now I can brick it again!
thx for the help!
I began to wonder if it was just a matter of changing APN settings?

[Q] Any way to boot the android from the micro SDcard ?

Hello guys .... is there any method to boot the android system from a micro sdcard ? or even the bootloader for instance ?. I bricked my phone by mistake.
Thanks and waiting for your reply(s).
From what I understand the g2x is nearly impossible to brick and that there are methods to help unbrick your phone as it is most likely a soft brick. Check the stickies would be suggestion or use the search function to try and find a method to help you out.
I tried to do everything to unbrick it and it still stuck on the lg logo with the blue color on the back ground the next stage ... i tried the nvflash and the smartflash nothing is working .... please help !!!!
I'm still a noob to android rooting so I can't directly help you man I'm sorry...wish I could. I will, however try and research a solution to your problem with you...I bet bricking a phone isn't a fun time.
Looking forward to hear from you ... what a bad luck i have just only bought it from like 3 days ago and now can't use it ... am still digging as well into solutions to see if any works with the one i have ... wish the lg has a toolbox to fix those kind of problems ... Thanks anyways !
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1590523
Brand new phone. Follow instructions carefully since it'll wipe your internal sd you could be stuck without a rom to flash.
Youppi )) ... i fixed it ... thanks guys and all the credits go to the TGA_Gunnman in his thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056847 ... and i upgrade it to android 2.3.7 gingerbread as i'm not sure if the further versions are stable because i'm using the wind mobile Canadian version ... God bless you all ))

Cant update to JB :(

Hey guys, here is my problem...
I had rooted my note using Zedomax's guide, and installed custom bootloader n all...
First time I tried to do OTA update, it just said 'bad file' < something along that line, tried it again and same.
Then I flashed a different bootloader I found here on the forums <sorry I cant seem to recall the link> and still, the process stops at 24% time and time.
I've tried this for about 6-7 times till now, always fails.
Still stuck in stock 4.0.4, can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.

F*** knows why anyone would flash a bootloader .
Read the faqs and guides before playing with firmware .
Try

Essential return to stock is factory reset flash upgrade firmware via KIES or stock firmware via Odin .

Cos people try anything when they have no idea... Instead of reading just a little to find out they will blindly throw themselves off cliffs because the instructions say so....

Hello there!
Im new to this forum, thou ive used some stuff from it before.
So, i got tired of my ICS o3d.. Too many problems with apps and other stuff.
And now ive tried to flash JB 4.2.2 to it.
Worked fine throu the flash, but stucks in bootloop on first boot.
And now i cant even do sh*t with my phone. Cant even get into recovery.
So, im not noob on flashing/rooting and all that. Been doing it for some years now.
But never got a bootloop like this one before.
How do i fix this?
EDIT:
Sometimes when i try to get into recovery (by pressing vol - button) it asks me if i wanna do a hard factory reset. And ive done that now two times. Still stucks on bootloop.

Sorry for doubleposting.
But, i managed to save the phone.

But, my IMEI got lost.
And i cant fix it. Help needed!
Feels like im flooding the **** out of this thread. Sry for that.
BUT..
i managed to get my IMEI back.
I did a recovery with LGmobile Support Tool. And then i got bootloop from hell.
So i go back to the whole unbricking procedure.
And thank god it worked.
Too bad im back on 2.3.5 now. Want 4+.
Maby its for the best to stay on 2.3..

[Completed] Acer A510 Bricked, Any suggetions?

Hi all.
I have been lurking and reading, now time to post.
Like the title says, I have been given an A510 that did work, until he tried to flash it, and failed............
Tried all the tips to get it to start, no dice.
All I get is "Boot image verified failed" or "Entering boot menu mode, Recovery image verified failed".
I guess the question is, what can be done to correct this, or is it toast?
I have tried all of the suggestions in these forums and other sources on the 'net.
Thank you for your time, and keep up the good work!:good:
David.
Hi David !
Can you tell us what exactly "he" tried to flash ?
Thank you !

Hi
From what I understand, tried to flash Clockwork Mod recovery, with all the wipe options checked, but I would have to contact Steve to confirm.
I am well versed in networking and all versions of Windows ( work in IT part time) but Android is confusing to me
Not sure if that helps.
Thanks.
Dave.
So , when you flash CWM recovery , there are no options to check anything while doing that , maybe he wiped after entering into CWM and maybe he erased everything afterwards
Just ask Steve about what exactly he did and btw , tell him Hi !

Hi.
Just so we are clear, this used to belong to my brother Steve, he has passed on to me as a project.
If I was the one who flashed it and bricked it, I would say so, I am a big boy and have messed up before...............................
Been playing with computers from the Win 3.1 days and have had my share of "mishaps"
Now that that is out of the way, I text him and asked what exactly he did, and he said he was in stalling the Clockwork Recovery Mod, and that is how the tablet ended up in its current state, that is all the info I have.
So the simple question is, can it be recovered or not?
Seeing as it will not boot far enough to be able to access it with USB I am thinking not.
I have the factory downloads for it.
Thanks.
David.
After a quick search I have found this thread , have alook at it , there are some workarounds and also you can post your issue there , good luck !
